Localize is still a very seamless machine translation experience. Their customer support is great, despite some frustrating policies and plan changes. I'm still happy with the service and will continue to use it.

Pros

I've had to work more one-on-one with customer service/support reps, and they've all been knowledgeable and helpful. I probably wouldn't still be with Localize without them.

Cons

Like many businesses, Localize has raised prices and diminished plan features. The do a poor job dealing with bot traffic, and with the overall increase in bots across the web, it's become a consistent issue with out account. Thankfully, the support reps are able to manually override the pageview issues.

Overall, really positive..., it's made going multilingual feel achievable without a huge engineering lift or budget blowout. We've been using it for almost 18 months now (since late 2024), and it's reliable for our main web products

Pros

You literally drop one line of JS code, and it auto-detects pretty much all your website text (static and dynamic) without breaking anything. No need to mess with code strings or wait for devs to implement i18n libraries

Cons

For non-web stuff like mobile apps or complex backend strings/PDFs/emails, it's not as seamless, you end up exporting/importing more than I'd like.

it is fast and simple to intergrate,especially on wordpress which is a platform i use every single day wether for my platform or my clients

nothing really it does what it should and it does not over complicate anything so i cant complain maybe the fact that theres no support for some south african texts

Fast setup, supporting team, I like it a lot because everything has worked even better than expected for my company.

Pros

Easy to use, simple, supportive team, solves a problem, helps us translate very fast and therefore scale.

Cons

Could be more customizable with add ons and for workflows but besides that everything is great, fast, simple to use.

My overall experience with Localize has been very positive. It made the process of turning a website multilingual much more organized and less dependent on manual work. Automatic text detection, a clear dashboard, and easy publishing helped save time and reduce errors. While large translation sets can take some effort to manage, the platform overall made localization smoother, faster, and easier to maintain as the site grows.

Pros

What I like most about Localize is how effortlessly it detects website content and keeps translations in sync without manual work. The central dashboard makes it easy to manage languages, review translations, and publish updates quickly. It saves a lot of time and makes the whole localization process feel simple and controlled.

Cons

At times, the automatic translations need manual review to ensure accuracy, especially for context specific phrases. The pricing can feel a bit high for smaller projects, and managing a large number of strings in the dashboard can become slightly overwhelming. Improving search, filtering, and bulk editing options would make handling bigger translation sets more efficient.

Pros

I summarize here the comments from our working team: It really saves you a lot of time, excited to see the translation results on the webpage! The UI is easy to navigate and pretty straightforward. When you are working on localization work, it is very clear what code is and what needs to be translated, if you understand placeholder / HTML. It is a quick and practical way to localize a website. There are many tools that help with the workflow (ex. comments, review statements, etc.) Localize chunks text in a way that helps to focus on individual translations, similar to how other CAT tools segment texts. The Spanish reads smoothly and feels idiomatic, not like a literal machine translation. The tone is friendly and accessible Correct use of Spanish punctuation Gender-sensitive language is well localized, the acknowledgment of historical gender roles feels natural in Spanish. I recently had the opportunity to try the Localize platform for localization projects from the school, and I would like to share my thoughts on \[some\] of the features I observed during the demo trial\[...\]I truly enjoyed the overall functions of Localize. It is overall beautiful with nice colors with simple designs and easy to navigate. Functions are not overly complicated and easy to try and get used to.

Cons

All was convenient. I worked with Localize on WordPress and could integrate the project keys into my new website without any issue. This was a nice experience.
