The UI is easy to navigate and pretty straightforward. When you are working on localization work, it is very clear what code is and what needs to be translated, if you understand placeholder / HTML. It is a quick and practical way to localize a website. There are many tools that help with the workflow (ex. comments, review statements, etc.) Localize chunks text in a way that helps to focus on individual translations, similar to how other CAT tools segment texts. The Spanish reads smoothly and feels idiomatic, not like a literal machine translation. The tone is friendly and accessible Correct use of Spanish punctuation Gender-sensitive language is well localized, the acknowledgment of historical gender roles feels natural in Spanish. I recently had the opportunity to try the Localize platform for localization projects from the school, and I would like to share my thoughts on \[some\] of the features I observed during the demo trial\[...\]I truly enjoyed the overall functions of Localize. With Localize, we were able to support localization of our platform with less than a month of development effort. With the support of localization, we are now able to reach and appeal to a broader audience. Pros Localize has an easy to use interface and has enabled our team to translate our platform with minimal development or administrative effort. Cons The only feature that caused any (very minimal) trouble for our team is the default to enable automatic archiving. We have an introductory assessment that is only periodically revisited, so the phrases were quickly moved to the archive and therefore did not show as immediately translated upon the next identification. The support team are also incredible - talented, fast, and know what they're doing! I was really surprised at how much customisability there was, so that we can stop phrases being digested at any time, as well as selecting what we would like translated (and into what language) and what we would prefer to leave as-is. The language editing interfaces are fast and functional, whether you want to edit translations in-situ or in a list. The API itself is pretty easy to use and the documentation has plenty of examples to integrate into your product. Cons The starter plans are reasonable if you want to translate into a few languages. That works if you're only focused on launching in a few markets. It gets a little pricey if you want to translate into all major languages. But if your product has reached that scale you should be able to afford this service which will save you the overhead of hiring translators and administrators to keep track of updating new messages.
