Pros

Taxdome has been a game changer for me as a solo CPA practice and someone who has multiple other responsibilities. I've barely even scratched the surface of all the features here, but all the client management and document management has been massive for me.

Cons

I would like to see more integration features with Drake Tax and potentially some document reading and data input into Drake automatically.

Great! I love using it to coordinate across multiple team members and manage workflows, emails, and KBA signatures, does everything from start to finish and has really helped in our communications with clients.

Pros

I love the automated workflows, automatically sending updates and reminders to clients, and the responsive client questionnaires!

Cons

None really, it's just very robust and can be a lot to learn

### "Great if you A LOT of time to set it up"

Feel like it was a bait and switch. Sales people hype this white glove onboarding. I saw none of that and have had to spend countless hours and thousands of dollars to make the program work for my small practice. AND it still isn't completely right....work in progress for almost 2 years now.

Pros

Multifaceted ability to manage client data and workflows. The features almost outweigh the frustration. Product is great if you are tech savvy!

Cons

Lack of real time customer support. Troubleshooting can be extremely difficult. Inability to talk to a person and needing to go back and forth with tech support via email is an inefficient methodology. Complexity of the program makes it very difficult to set up without an IT dept or paid consults.

Tax Dome has been an excellent change to our Tax and bookkeeping office. We tried many other platforms and in each platform there was always something that we still needed that another platform had and we were paying for several different platforms at once. Tax Dome has provided everything we need with one platform subscription.

Pros

Tax Dome essentially has everything you need in one platform for bookkeeping and tax businesses. It is user friendly, and you can do so many things with Tax Dome.

Cons

There are some time out issues and you have to refresh the application.

Overall I'm satisfied with the product. The support, innovation, automations and tutorials help my be more productive and spend less time working that I am able to give back to my family.

Pros

The innovation of the system is absolutely phenomenal. I also appreciate the online support and chat options to work out issues in real time. LOVE the video tutorials as I a visual learners; make it super easy to understand.

Cons

Making system changes during peak tax season was definitely not a good idea. Making changing during the season to workflows can change the process someone has in place, especially with automations. Strongly suggest holding off on those until May timeframe.

Taxdome is a great tool for automation and flow and for tracking clients in the workflow. It provides a lot of features that don't relate to my business so I don't find full use of the product for the price.

Pros

I like the features and customization that tax dome offers. I also like the website builder and custom url feature.

Cons

I don't like that the automated messages that tax dome sends. There is not much flexibility in the automated emails that are sent to clients. This really should allow for html.

Cons

Overall I've had a great experience with TaxDome. The initial learning curve was tough and took me hoursssss to set up my pipeline, organizers, chat templates, etc lol BUT it was completely worth it! I can easily make updates and I save so much time on back and forth with clients due to the automations.

Pros

How it allows me to stay organized and efficient with workflows.

Cons

It can have bugs at times that are frustrating and take a bit longer than I prefer to resolve. But any issue I've had always gets resolved.

### "Why didn't we get Taxdome sooner?"

We had been looking at TaxDome for a few years but kept pushing it off since we had another program that did just secure document storage and ... we didn't want to upset our clients with moving to another program after they got used to the one we had. So after a lot of back and forth with the sales team at TaxDome, we decided to just go with it. In the beginning, it was very overwhelming. The pipeline can look very daunting but with a little help, it gets easier to figure out. eventually, you will wonder what you did without it. We use it every day during the tax season.

Pros

The program is very user-friendly. Everything is in one place from client information to notes to documents. The cellphone app makes the process even easier for our clients.

Cons

When tagging a client in tasks, the system does not tag the client's account. This makes it difficult to tag a client in a task and then go to the pipeline and tag them again.

Fantastic - I love it. It simplifies so much for my business and makes the whole process of engaging with a client, providing tax organizers, e-signing returns, and client invoicing so streamlined.

Pros

My clients think the process of completing their questionnaire and e-signing and paying invoices is very easy.

Cons

Sometimes it's not intuitive to figure out how to do things in the software. But, the support is excellent and there are a lot of helpful articles on the internet as well.

I very happy with TaxDome! It's great to have a secure portal I know I can trust, along with so many other features

Pros

One stop shopping, so to speak! It has so many great modules, I was able to get rid of a bunch of different apps

Cons

I wish they had a version customized for Canadians, as there are a lot of differences in various regulations and terms (ie SIN vs SSN)

### "Onboarding clients is a breeze."

I use TaxDome for everything in my firm - onboarding, offboarding, tracking leads, and even my administrative tasks. I loke that it's tool that can be implemented for more than just tax work.

Pros

I love how much time it saves me. Once I implemented my workflows I was surprised at how fast i was completing my client onboarding. It took a while for me to get used to feeling like I was forgetting to do something because it literally took me only a couple minutes.

Cons

It can take a while to set up your templates. And if you want to use the ones that other people have shared in the library they are not organized in an intuitive way so it's kind of hard to search for them.

Overall, it was positive—efficient client management once fully set up, but onboarding took some time.

Pros

The all-in-one platform made managing client documents and communication seamless. It syncs well with my other platforms.

Cons

The learning curve was a bit steep, especially for customization features. The support I received initially was great, but now it takes forever to get help.

Our overall experience was good, will continue to use it in the future.

Pros

We liked its intuitive client portal, which simplifies document sharing and e-signatures, enhancing efficiency. The ability to send and schedule group texts to clients through the app and to group them using hashtags is really nice as well.

Cons

It's costly and sometimes it takes awhile for team members to grasp certain features.
