The program and the incredible team are perhaps the most powerful tool that we have for firm success.

Pros

The program simplifies all of out firm processes from data collection and storage, client communication, and workflow and task management.

Cons

There's constantly room for growth as we still need to use some programs outside of TaxDome. However the team at TD is one of the best that I've encountered at listening to their clients and making updates for an even better program.

### "Well Worth it!"

Fairly intuitive for a solo practitioner. Easy to use portal for customers. Good value for less headaches. Clients can snap pics of docs and upload them. That is appealing to a younger and middle age crowd.

Pros

Simplicity and the templates. I did not have to recreate the wheel. Secure uploads. "Button" available to link new/existing customers to the TaxDome portal. Easy uploads for clients. Makes remote work easy for both clients and me, the solo practitioner.

Cons

so many templates. Steep learning curve. (I should have spent more time on start-up/learning via the many videos - not really a TD issue - my issue).

Cons

With so many features, it takes quite a bit of effort and time to customize.

Overall, this has been a great experience. I like the fact they are constantly evolving and listen to the customers when something might need improvements.

Pros

The client relationship management. As a CPA, I am swamped during tax season, and answering the phone when clients call can become a task, but taxdome makes this simple with chat. Also, I appreciate the pipeline tracking the progress of tax returns.

Cons

The price is $800 a year for each member, regardless of whether the team member is a tax preparer or admin. I have some tasks I don't need a tax preparer for, like organizing folders, scheduling, billing, and following up with clients.

Easy to get started by using it as a secure file-sharing and signature gathering platform. Then with more experience, l was able to create custom workflows and automated messaging to mirror my firm's processes. The ability to create a robust, hosted website is a bonus. My clients love it.

All-in-one solution that replaced multiple disparate products in my solo practice and at a reasonable cost.

Cons

Sporadic episodes of slow response times during busy season.

Remote Access and having the whole package of managing an accounting firm on the browser. It is very safe

Opening docs on the browser. It is not good to open documents on the browser and not able to edit the docs.

Pros

Tax dome has made it easy to send documents and get signatures for clients. It is easy for clients to use and I rarely have to show clients how to upload documents

Cons

In a time crunch I'm in, it is hard to find time to do the other features that taxdome provides.

it would be nice if i could use taxdome with my team, so multiple users can write to clients but it would be only visible to the team, which team member wrote that message. So the client would only see for example "Gerhard & Partner Team". That would be a nice feature if possible!

Pros

TaxDome is improving constantly. Thats a plus! internal message was a great idea, so i could pass it over to a colleague when it wasn't my responsibility. that role feature sounds nice, but we haven't tried it yet.

Cons

There were some issues with a client, where the client couldn't open pdfs when I sent multiple pdfs at once. but maybe it was resolved. i dont have that isse anymore. i would have liked the option in the organizer "if not". another thing is that it's not possible to create tasks via app, or so did my employer tell me.

Pros

I originally chose Taxdome because I needed KBA signatures. My office manager implemented the CRM features, and now it is an indispensable part of our practice. Great and responsive support when we need it, and continually they work to improve the product. We are very satisfied with Taxdome!

Cons

The pipelines can be confusing at times. However, our office manager works hard to make it clear to me. She does a good job there, and Taxdome is great with their support!

### "Great Program"

My overall experience with TaxDome was very good. If I wasn't merging in with a larger firm I would absolutely continue to use it and would highly recommend to anybody that is looking for a firm management software. Customer service is quick to respond and they are constantly making improvements.

Pros

The program is easy to use once you have it setup the way you want it. There are tons of features to make it scalable for almost any size practice. Time tracking, invoicing, cloud storage and more all in one place. It really does make running a practice easier.

Cons

The only negative for me is the amount of time it takes to get it setup the way you want it. Once you do, it's smooth sailing from there.

How easy it is - my favourite feature is the e-signing

Cons

It's hard to encourage e-transfers for clients to make payments, which is my preferred payment method of large invoices to keep my costs low.

Taxdome overall has been great for me. I have had a great time with my coworkers learning the program through the extensive training. There is always more to learn and webinars available. You can always count on Taxdome to be willing to make improvements to better their program. They watch for suggestions all the time. There is so much accountability with this program it makes it so nice for a small and large business.

I really enjoy the step by step features of taxdome. Also when I have any problems, I am able to get in touch with someone quickly! Always so helpful.

### "Tax Dome Saves My Firm Hours!"

TD is a very powerful program that is constantly approving. It saved my firm!

Pros

Love the uploading and sharing of documents with my clients. I am trying to do everything in Tax Dome!

Cons

Don't like the billing or recurring billing. I was using QB and tried TD. I went back to QB. Notes should date themselves and notate the person leaving the note. Needs to be able to drag and drop more when adding files. I think having a Contact and an Account the same and having to set them up individually is redundant.

### "Taxdome contributes to Tax Fraud"

Overall I am very disappointed in the technical support needed to resolve my problems. Taxdome was no help in restoring the deleted messages or explaining how the preparer falsified an approval.

Pros

I liked that I could use one app to submit my information and track all steps. I could chat back and forth with my preparer, although my preparer was able to abuse this feature.

Cons

The app allowed my tax preparer to delete chat threads and falsify information. I informed the tech support team about the missing chat history and they said it wasn't possible. Then I showed them an email notification for a chat that no longer existed and all of a sudden preparers can delete things that were mistakes. They never took accountability.

Pros

The ease of setting up new clients; invoicing is awesome - emails invoices automatically so saves a bunch on postage! Printing to TaxDome is easy! The pipelines keep everyone on track.

Time entry and reporting could be improved - having different billing rates for different employees and the reporting could be better.
