Its been very rough. The company hides behind support and Customer Service. Either they have the perception that the software is so simple to administer you need no support. The pricing plans are misleading and confusing at best. I am shock at the price to add and extra user or users - which is the same annual price as the standard license cost of \[SENISTIVE CONTENT\]. All other software I buy gives you extra licenses (power users and standard users) without an extra fee. Hoping support is better with the Pro version. Never got a chance to try and the Pro version on the trial as there was a risk of losing all of my data and starting again. Doesn't the company understand that this is major reputational risk with my clients if I lose data and inconvenince them. I am a Top 100 CPA in my circles - guess that doesn't matter to Tax Dome as I feel like I'm a nobody after giving some very detailed feedback to the Sales Office. I rarely write bad reviews - I normally stick to keeping my mouth shut - however, this has me so upset, I decided to break my rule. Buyer beware if you jump into the pool.

Pros

I liked how the software claimed to streamline the process and eliminate a lot of administration and steps to deploy legacy and new clients.

Cons

The support is not there. The pricing is very confusing and misleading. I reached out to Sales and got little remedy for my concerns. My current software group (TaxAct) had no knowledge of this software and integration. Its terrible. There are a lot of kinks to be worked out. This is stressing me out and making me as an owner super frustrated. I am a premiere client of TaxAct - get the Enterprise bundle. Spend a lot of money with them, but I get great service and attention. Here I had to update to the Pro version, just to apparently get better service and support. We will see.

The same page also outlines the differences between the two plans (Pro & Lite). It sounds like you registered for a Lite plan (1 onboarding session included). TaxDome Pro includes unlimited support and training sessions. You are able to choose which best fits your needs. 3. Your commentary doesn't address the quality of support - it sounds like you just want more of it, which as mentioned is fully unlimited in the Pro plan. We take all reviews seriously and look to improve - thanks for your feedback!

When using TaxDome, you can cancel the most programs you were using, like Adobe, Docusign, Dropbox, etc. Everything is integrated, and included in the subscription. This is why we can not include additional licences into the already reasonable subscription fee. The good thing is that you can purchase a monthly license for a team member, and pay as long as you need. If there is anything we can do to make your TaxDome experience better, please let us know. ### "From HORRIBLE OfficeTools to TaxDome"

Pros

TaxDome has an incredible client portal and consolidated multiple pieces of software into one. We used OfficeTools prior and that program is a diseaster \*\*STAY AWAY FROM OFFICETOOLS\*\*. Clients HATED our OfficeTools portal and it created MORE work for us when consolidated source documents. The eSig function of OfficeTools never worked correctly. Lastly, OfficeTools ended up being my worst business decision. I stupidly got into a long term contract to get better pricings and I am not abandoning the program and will be paying for it for 2 more years. Checking with my attorney because we tested one version of the client portal and then they released new version a month after we signed up and the new version is HORRIBLE.

Cons

No cons. Would be nice if the client portal was more customizable or had dashboards to upload financial information for clients.

### "Worth the learning curve"

TaxDome is worth the learning curve. It is going to be very powerful in my business. Even if I don't use every feature they offer, the ones I'm already using have already made the switch worth it.

Pros

Having a very secure signature feature was the biggest thing. I also like the chat function that includes giving the clients tasks and a to-do list.

Cons

There is absolutely a learning curve. I have not done the white glove onboarding yet, so they may help with that, but I am a tech savvy person who loves to learn new software, and I have not found the layout intuitive. I also wish there was a way to do more scheduled sends/uploads. But my clients will just learn that I sometimes work very odd hours (even if I won't respond to their emails at those times)

### "A great product but needs ample help at initial launch"

Pros

TaxDome has the potential to streamline activities from document drop off, missing items, client communication follow ups, to signatures and payments. The automation and customization is helpful and attractive for the team and clients.

Cons

The setup of TaxDome takes many many hours to learn and implement. If you do not have a designated member of your team that can spend the hundred hours of time to learning, implementing and teaching the pipelines and workflows, then you are in quite a pickle. We have had the trial for 2 weeks and honestly have not been able to use any of its features due to the amount of time it has taken to even learn how to utilize it in our business. We have had to hire out help to just get our feet wet in the pipeline workflow, as such that costs more money. TaxDome could help itself by having more user friendly automations and descriptive videos for various practices, but more specifically tax practices, hence the name "TaxDome".

Flexibility and Automation are important features im looking for while being organized.

Cons

IRS Form Auto Population features and also Dashboard is missing Calendar Overview. Instead, its responsibility of tracking appointments is placed on task dates. Also would like to see weekly, monthly or quarterly growth based on added new contacts or project reflected as a report.

I am very satisfied with the service and the customer service has been incredible.

Pros

The client portal was the main reason I signed up. Just the best way to communicate with clients without having to clutter their emails. But the workflow automation has been a nice surprise to have as well. It just such a time saver.

Cons

So far I haven't had the need to use the time tracking since I bill by the value provided not the time invested. But I am guessing it would be a good feature to use for metrics.

For me it was kind of tideous to start off, but TaxDome offers so much support, videos and tutorials that once you get the hang of it it becomes so natural to work with.

The system works great and the company is looking to make improvements too. The set-up may seem a little intimidating, but there's a lot of help online and in person. I would have liked the white glove onboarding to be longer. I feel like I needed an hour. I can always ask for another onboarding session, but would have been nice to extend the initial session.

I love having a lot of functions integrated, and TaxDome allows for this to happen.

Pros

Basic portal works similar to others - easy interface. Once you set up pipelines/jobs/tasks and automations, I believe a large amount of time can be saved. You can see where you are with certain clients at a glance, and there is a count of clients in that phase of the process. This is truly helpful with deadlines approaching. Esignature works great, automated email templates etc are also helpful. Highly recommend!

Cons

No ability to pull IRS transcripts. Initial setup took longer than I anticipated, but you can schedule for help sessions to ensure you are getting it set up correctly.

I am very pleased thus far and really looking forward to rolling out the client portal in the coming weeks!

Pros

TaxDome is the most bang-for-your-buck solution that we've tried thus far! We are a newer CPA firm about to enter our 4th tax season, and have grown from a team of 3 to a team of 12 in the last year - Implementing a more robust software was crucial to our growth. So far I like the ease of set-up the most! Implementation has been very easy so far, especially when compared to various methods we've tried in the past!

Cons

The time-tracking and invoicing is a little bare-bones for our needs.

As much as we loved Corvee for the tax planning, we were mostly using it for the client portal and e-signing capabilities. We had tried JetPack in the past for Workflow management, but it's time tracking was sub=-par and absence of a client portal was a big deal-breaker. Tax Dome is able to replace all of these things!

### "Good Overall System"

I was hoping to retire my share file, webhosting and marketing email accounts with Tax-dome but I have yet to see if the website will be useful. Share file allows me to share folders with more than one client but tax-dome does not. You will have to load the file to each client and update each client. And though I will be able to use tax-dome to mass email there is no birthday or holiday email function so I may have to keep the other software's for certain things. But Tax-dome does have many features the other's do not, like file locking to invoices, organizers and pipelines. But it does not completely replace all the other software.

Pros

All the features make it a great deal for the money

Cons

The software does a lot of great things once you get the hang of it. However, it is not as intuitive as promised and it is slow to move from screen to screen. You need to have a lot of time available to view lots of webinars for every feature to learn how to use it then a lot of time to customize it. Not all customizations are available. The bulk upload app is glichy and shuts down every time you put lots of files with multiple destinations. Then you have to start all over and upload file by file. The chat help is frustrating to initiate, they ask several questions and try to direct you to self help and webinars instead of chatting. You have to ask your question 3 times to get an actual person to help. The onboarding call is a bit rushed and is directed by the client so be prepared. It isn't so much an onboarding as much as an opportunity to ask your questions. They won't help you customize your website until you are a paying customer so you don't know if you the website hosting is a benefit until after you pay for the year.

### "My clients and I love it!"

The weekly webinars have been helpful. The onboarding of our clients was very easy. I still have a few questions but have an appointment this afternoon and am hoping to get those answered. I have, in the first week, sent out at least a dozen signature requests already and have gotten great results. We were almost completely virtual during 2020, but all our solutions (e-signatures, storage, payments) were all in different places. Now they are all in one place. Thank you!

Pros

Even my most technologically challenged clients have been able to implement the software, upload docs, sign forms, and employ the app. All my clients love having an app of their phone so they are not tied to their desks. I like being able to print to the taxdome directly. I love the unlimited electronic signatures. We have researched a good solution for our small but not tiny business and there is no good, affordable electronic signature solution for a firm our size. Until now! I can, as a small business, have my own app, something I would not be able to afford without your product.

Cons

The different folders (public, private, clients) is confusing and cumbersome, but I understand that is changing soon. I am one of those people who would like to talk to a real person and I know that is time consuming and expensive for you all but I feel better resolution happens that way. I made an appointment but it was three days out for a 15-minute appt. Still made the appointment, though. That having been said, I like the low $50 monthly fee, so I'm good. I am a visual person and this is just my opinion (you asked) but I don't like the look of the Overview page.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

If I chose TaxDome over other products, it was because they were all scattered in different places-limited e-signatures out of my software (we still needed to have additional e-signature capability), document transfer and storage, payments somewhere else. TaxDome put it all in one place for me and gave me an app for my clients to use to access these things.

My biggest concern as a virtual tax preparer was obtaining the necessary tax documents securely and effectively. Tax Dome also offers the portal in different languages which really helps the customer onboard with no issues. This was a top priority for me in order to serve my customers profesionally.

Pros

There are so many options to customize and templates to help you get started

Cons

I don't see a scheduler. Maybe I haven't fully explored the software. It would be great to have a scheduler to set up appointments vi phone call/zoom/google meet to get started with leads.
