### "Tax Dome new user"

My husband was floored when he received a call the other evening from someone who noticed that we had converted our trial to a membership and they just wanted to check in and see if we had any questions or needed assistance with the import from our current CRM. The customer service so far has been fantastic.

Pros

We are brand new, just converted from our trial. I have loved all of the videos they have available along with the videos they update regularly. I also love the support on FB. There are a ton of resources out there to help you make sure this is right for your firm prior to you making the jump.

Cons

It is a lot more expensive than what we are currently using, and I wish there was a discount for having so many employees on it. I feel like for small firms this is very affordable but for a firm our size (15 employees) it becomes quite costly. We are able to cancel some other things we are paying for, but it was still a big bite to chew on to move forward.

Overall my experience has been great. Customer support has been helpful and checked in with me several times in the first couple of weeks. Constantly encouraged me to call with any questions or concerns with the product.

The learning curve for taxdome can be steep. Once you start working with it and learn now it can help you that's all sorted out. But sitting down to use and set up can be a daunting task.

Pros

I like the automation feature and the ability to connect with clients in their portal and through email all in one place.

Cons

I do not like the invoicing feature. It can be more robust. If I am sending all clients an invoice, no matter if they are on the portal or not, they should be able to make payments on the invoice. As it stands, I still have to send invoices via QBO for clients who do not use the portal.

Cons

I'd like to be able to start a new timer from the task itself or the app header menu. Syncing stripe invoices and subscriptions with contacts based on their email address. Adding an email address to an account record.

### "Great value practice management software"

So far so good. The customer support has been over the top good. Any software is going to have a learning curve. Whether you have the patience to get through that and gain the real value of any software has a lot to do with how much help you receive. A big part of the reason we signed with TaxDome was that support. It's constant and patient.

Pros

Our most pressing need was a way to standardize and institutionalize our workflows to gain efficiency and save hours - we were just getting too busy to take on new clients. Tax Dome provided a comprehensive solution to this problem at great value. It, as well, allowed us to eliminate other APPs in our stack and gain efficiencies in those areas too, as well as cost savings.

Cons

To nit pick, I'd love it if organizers could be integrated with the Account info so that Organizer answers (at least contact biographical data) could flow directly to the Account info, eliminating the need to make manual entries.

Pros

Easily customizable to our processes. Scalability. Meets most of our needs with one product making our use of multiple software products obsolete.

Cons

Would like to see a sheet type entry option for entering time entries. Would like to have time budgeting capability for projects and jobs; and see better reporting analytics for time budgets and billable productivity per job and per employee.

Pros

it is very easy for clients to handle with. The support to use taxdome is perfect. I adore getting signature so easily.

Cons

I'm missing little features:1. Dokuments for clients: Sometimes we want to show documents, but only for a while. It should be possible to set a time at the document and after that the client doesn't have a glance at it any more. Or it is possible to see it but you can't download it. 2. clients can't add an additional access himself. Its should be possible that he can add it (for example he want to give access to an employee) and we only get an information to unlock it or we can intervere. And he should be able to lock the access or restrict the access himself too. I want to have as little effort managing it as possible. 3. I'm missing only the function qulifizierte elektronische Signaturen (QES). But it should come soon

### "Once, you Learn It.. You, will Love It!"

I wanted to stay engaged with clients. I'm still learning the automation part, but I can see how it work lovely once I get it set up just right.

Pros

I love the mobile app. Client's can sign up on the go and upload their documents, They receive emails to keep them updated .

Cons

I didn't plan to spend so much to get started. I really only need the product for Tax Season, but since I like it so much, I'm going to use it for my Bookkeeping business as well. Once your signed up, there are perks to help bring down the cost. I'm still new. However, I can say compare to other software, this one is my favorite.

### "Easy Transition"

Easy to import account and contact details

Cons

The import was easy. However, there was some confusion when importing and mapping the csv file. Here's what happened. I exported all contact and account info from another TaxDome account and thought I could take that same file and import it into TD without a problem. After some changes, I was able to get the mapping correct. Nothing too bad, a little inconvenient is all. It's also possible I was confused and didn't do this correctly.

### "Everything I need in one place"

I have only been using TaxDome for a couple of months but am already noticing a change in the workflow. The setup is a bit difficult, as with any new software, but I am anticipating great things to come. So far I am enjoying the software and would recommend to any tax professionals.

Pros

I love the organization that this software brings to my firm. I can create tasks, assign tasks, communicate with clients, record billing amounts and track receivables, and keep track of what tasks are outstanding and to which staff member tasks are assigned to. This software allows me to keep a live and easily accessible audit trail of work to be completed, work in progress, and completed work so I no longer have to search individual client files for notes. This is the hub for all firm tasks and is a program my staff and I will use daily.

Cons

Some of the functions are difficult to navigate and time consuming to implement. There was also a little confusion upon set up of what I needed to do, specifically regarding the task/pipeline area. I also found the pipeline/task/tag area difficult to find as it is located under the settings tab which I would typically attribute to account settings and not task setup.

So far, very impressed. Loved the layout and look and feel of Canopy, but they are far behind TaxDome in features, plus they are more expensive. TaxDome has much more power. I feel the company is super dedicated to making this program easier to use, more powerful and productive tool for the user and firm. It shows in the constant weekly enhancements, fixes and updates.

Pros

Loved the thought that the company put into this software. They are definitely focused on the user and adding day-to-day practical features. I feel that they are in overdrive adding enhancements and new features several times a week now. Love the Kanban look and feel along with the features of the Pipeline with Automove. This is super powerful.

Cons

The GUI is a bit flat and dated. It could benefit from a fresher look, crisper fonts and some depth to screen. Also, the CRM is OK, but could be better laid out with more usable fields. I.E. it just has generic text fields for date of birth and does not calculate the age of the contact. This is super important as advisors need to know the age of clients as major financial events happen at age 18, 21, 59.5, 65, 72. I feel that they will circle back to this and improve it over time. BTW - TaxDome name needs to go because imho, it is too limiting, this program is so much more than just a tax industry/CPA program! It is great for any type of consulting, financial planning, wealth management and almost any other service related company.

### "Automation at it's finest!"

Pros

There are so many things about TaxDome that I love and have helped my practice. It does so much work FOR me in terms of walking clients through documents, organizers, etc. This allows me to spend more time doing things that are income producing. Having all sorts of templates are so nice too. That saves me valuable time. One of my favorite things is being able to look at my pipeline and see exactly where everyone is in the flow all in one spot! It definitely keeps me more organized and less frazzled during a hectic time.

Cons

This could be my misunderstanding, but I don't think I can accept payment through TaxDome unless I use their payment methods. My goal was to continue billing through Quickbooks and I was hoping a paid invoice in QB would sync into TD but that has not worked for me yet. This makes me unable to use a key feature of locking documents until clients paid. I was really looking forward to that.

Changes made in TaxDome will be reflected in QBO, but not the other way around. Our suggestion would be to check out our Feature Request board where you will be able to request a change regarding this to be implemented. You will also have the ability to upvote feature requests made by other customers, and the ones with the most votes get prioritized. I can easily upload all my documents, communicate securely with my tax preparer, and track the progress of my returns. The automated reminders ensure I never miss a deadline. TaxDome has simplified the entire tax-filing process for me. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free way to manage their taxes.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve. I'm still figuring out some of the features. If you have an accounting background, you'll probably find your way around pretty quick. The rest of us would benefit from some simple tutorials.

### "Challenging to Navigate"

I think it has a great potential and I am willing to try it for the next tax season to really make an informed decision to see if its a good fit for our firm.

Pros

The billing functionality appears to be a good tool, however, due to trail basis, I wasn't able to full make use of it or test the functionality fully.

Cons

I only had the trial version and it appears that certain functionalities, I wasn't able to test. Additionally, I tried going through the video to see if it can help me configure my setup, it was a bit of a challenge to understand and follow through.

### "This is going to be a time saver!"

I've only used it for a brief time during a trial, but I can see huge benefits.

Pros

I like the power of the templates. This will make my life easier, and my clients' lives as well. During the testing I had one client agree to be a guinea pig for the app and she found it so much easier than the other software I was using for document uploads. I'm also certain that the organizer will have a huge impact on my productivity.

Cons

The app allows users to take a jpg if they click the "add more" button that appears after the first document. I really don't want clients uploading jpgs. I did speak to a support staff who said this was a bug and he would put in a ticket to have it fixed. If it gets fixed my review would be higher.
