Pros

The company listens to feedback and will make enhancements as needed. It is relatively easy to use and can be learned quickly. It also has a messaging feature like texting and the templates provided are easy to customize.

Cons

There are minimal cons and not worth mentioning.

I really love the automation and being able to do a lot within it, centralized and less apps to use. I am saving only $30 in the first month, but paying for additional users is steep.

Pros

The workflows, automation and communication features.

Cons

The cost per user. The cost per user for monthly vs annual, a big gap especially if you have 2 or more users. That is a big chunk for anyone to pay especially since the first few months you have to set it up and tweak it as much as possible so that others can use it with ease and automation. Can't respond to emails in the software, just view them. It is a lot to learn in 2-week trial or even a 30-day trial.

There is a small icon on the far right of the screen, when you click on it you will be able to respond to the email. We would like to note that TaxDome is used to securely store sensitive documents for both your firm and your clients, and the data storage is unlimited! We aim to provide a reliable service to all, and an annual subscription (a.k.a. a license) ensures that. There is an option for a monthly subscription for additional licenses added to a subscription but the first purchased license has to be an annual one specifically for storage reasons.

### "Worth the learning curve"

Pros

Interface is great, it keeps client data organized really well. It's nice being able to assign clients to multiple accounts with a single contact card.

Cons

There's a learning curve. You have to watch the training videos to understand how to get this software to work as intended. I usually like diving in and experimenting, but figuring out how to make TaxDome work the way I wanted was not intuitive. After watching the videos things made sense but that means you need to set up TaxDome outside of your busy season.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

Needed to streamline my operations and TaxDome allows me to keep everything in one place.

### "Almost all in one"

So far so good, I hope they integrate tax resolution/transcripts with the software in the future, that would be super helpful!

Pros

The electronic signatures integrated all in one has been super helpful, the ability to set up multiple contacts with the same account is perfect for partnerships.

Cons

Setting up as I haven't had much time or haven't taken the time to set it up.

### "Tax Dome has organized my practice"

I am more organized with Workflow of the office. I can see the process of projects which allows me to manage staff more efficiently.

Pros

1) The features which move Pipeline Stages thru the Auto process to the next Stage. Example A Pipeline is the 1040 Tax Return, Stages of the Pipeline are 1) engagement letter 2)invoice client 3) organizer to client 4)Client documents received etc. TaxDome can auto move between stages as completed. 2)I also like the feature of communication emails being inside of the software for selected staff to see. This cleans up my Outlook Email box from all the CC communications. All the emails for an Accountant also in one location to view

Cons

The internal office Chat feature is not available currently.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

Office Tools does not allow for Client Document portal storage over 30 days Tax Dome has all the features needed especially create customer service experience during the Trial Period.

### "Best software for Tax Service"

Pros

This is super easy to use and have more functions than you ever think of. I was with big4 before starting my own practice. TaxDome is a all in one software that offer the same function you will need to use many different tool to get the same result at even big accounting firm. I also like the white-glove onboarding process, it is simple to go through. The customer support is super good, I had one on one training with the product representative, and after that, I chat with them whenever I have any issue and hear back in couple hours.

Cons

I would like to have the time tracking/timesheet function. Also, the discount option when we do billing because you need to write off or discount all the time in reality, we can just bill based on the hour we work time rate per hour.

I needed a product that was automated with great templates! I love how it can connect one user to multiple accounts.

Cons

No Cons. Received a great onboarding guide. Anytime a new software is implemented it requires time to get set up right.

Since there are a lot of features packed in the TaxDome software, it takes some time to learn and navigate the platform.

Pros

Client on-boarding is straightforward and simple. Very helpful to have engagement letters.

Cons

Another tax management program has a feature to where you can offer three pricing options when creating a proposal. It would be nice to be able to send a proposal to a client and offer them different tiers of service.

### "Finally a smart tax office product that is user friendly!"

TaxDome has unified our client communications with our workflow. The integrated messaging and project management will allow us to be more proactive in responding to our clients needs quickly and efficiently.

Pros

The user interface and intuitive controls really make all the difference. Integrations were easy to setup and although it is not completely integrated with our tax prep software, we believe the client interface and experience is more important.

Cons

The product is still young, but evolving with new usability features added regularly.

### "Time saver"

Pros

The ability to automate the workflow really helps save time significantly.

Cons

Customer service wasn't responsive. I chatted with a representative to help sync my email to start, and it took forever, and it wasn't even fixed. I was referred to the Q&A, which I already went through before reaching out to them.

I am looking forward to integrating this software into my accounting and tax practice and being able to provide my customers an easy way for us to communicate.

Pros

I needed a new client portal, the previous one I was using was not very user-friendly. Also, I was looking for the ability to e-sign documents, especially the Form 8879.

Cons

There appears to be quite a bit of a learning curve. I probably should have started this process when it wasn't tax season!

So far, oustanding!

Pros

The client answer driver Organizer is amazing. It was also extremely easy to update and change.

Cons

It is a lot to set up, kind of overwhelming...but I really don't consider this a Con as I think it just speaks the amazing functionality of the software. In truth, I am a little intimidated...but the time I spend setting it up correctly, will be time well spent, as I believe it will pay dividends for years!

I can't wait to have a full tax season with Taxdome under my belt so I can make small changes and really enjoy the benefits!

Pros

The set up of the Pipeline to keep track of where all my tax clients are in the process saves so much time! I also like all the how to videos and FB groups to get advice from.

Cons

There's just a lot to learn! That won't be a bad thing once I've learned it all :)

Time and management

Pros

Since my company is just me and I work full time - I do my self employment on nights and weekends - this software is awesome. It allows me to track everyone and everything without missing. Prior to purchasing this software I was tracking manually and I know I missed some opportunities. I'm just getting started and there are many avenues within the software that will allow me to save time that'll allow me to grow my business further.

Cons

I see that you can integrate QBO but haven't found QuickBooks desktop.

So far everything has been great. I have used several other systems at other firms and think that taxdome is on par with the other systems.

Pros

I like that TaxDome does so much in an all-in-one package.

Cons

When you print from tax software to taxdome you have to route it to the client. It would be nice if it routed automatically.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

Taxdome does more than Intuit and Encyro. Canopy is very similar but may be a little smoother. But Canopy you have to buy each function separately and is triple the cost.

### "There's mixed reviews but I personally LOVE IT"

Love it and I hope to keep loving it.

Pros

Its a catchall program. Nothing's perfect as TaxDome does a little bit of everything, but it does it well enough that it saves me so much time from having to frankinstine multiple subscriptions together in order to achieve the same goal.

Cons

The PDF editer isn't really a PDF editer or I'm using it wrong.

### "My Automated Assistant"

Overall, very good. Any issues I've had were easily resolved.

Pros

I picked TaxDome because it is specifically designed for the tax industry. It has a comprehensive approach compared to its competitors, yet it is simple to use. I really like the Tasks for work that repeats every month! I also have found the FAQ's for common questions with video illustrations very helpful. Customer service has been very responsive to any questions. I also appreciated the 30 day trial as it took me awhile to have time to test it out. I hope they are considering a Zapier integration.

Cons

There are some basic features (like being able to sort any column with a click, adjusting column width, hiding columns, expanding/wrapping task descriptions) that are not available to customize the experience. That being said, it's still very usable. I also think they should be a little more clear that, while e-signatures are compatible for an engagement letter, the 8879's are not and will cost extra in order to meet the more strict IRS requirements.

Overall Taxdome does a lot. I the setup upfront is a lot of work but it's worth it once you're up and operational.

Pros

I was able to replace a few separate piece of software and now only have two places to log in instead of 5.

Cons

It would be nice if it had a feature to help resolve or request transaction details in quickbooks, from the client.
