Reviewed the trial, checked youtube, and was very impressed with the functionalities. Immediately purchased it.

Pros

The fact that it consolidates a lot of programs that I have been using separately. Automations seem very helpful also.

Cons

Not able to automate posting of jobs to client's through zappier, so it can be assigned quicker

### "Easy setup, nice option for client portal"

Pros

I use Lacerte tax preparation software. Their attempt at a client portal is sub-par and not easy to use. Tax dome is reasonably priced for my small firm's needs while giving our clients a good option for sending us documents in a safe and secure manner.

Cons

The additional per user fees are pretty steep, they should be a percentage of the full monthly fee. I have some team members who would only use the software to assist me and won't be able to use taxdome because the per user fee isn't justified based on their value added.

I think that once I have the pipelines and my workflow set up that TaxDome will save me time, keep my clients updated and happy.

Pros

So far, I am loving TaxDome. The client onboarding was incredibly easy, my clients love that and the ease of communication in the messages section - it's worth it just for that.

Cons

Setting up the pipelines, jobs, tasks - that is challenging

Reason for choosing TaxDome

I am testing out Keeper with another client but I know I want to do tax preparation and I think TaxDome is more robust ultimately. I may use Keeper for my bookkeeping clients and TaxDome just for my tax clients, we'll see.

So far it's been excellent! We'll be rolling this out to all of our customers in the coming few months.

Pros

There are so many meaningful functionalities. The most important ones for us are that it's one place our customers can go for everything. Even if they have multiple personal accounts, businesses, trusts, etc. TaxDome allows everything to be done under one roof.

Cons

Nothing yet - not sure about the website creation capabilities yet given the other benefits provided by more robust marketing/website management companies (i.e., monthly newsletter, templated pages, etc.).

Fantastic experience. Exactly what I was looking for. Hoping for faster assistance now that I will have a paid subscription for TaxDome Pro.

Mobile app, import of clients, Email sync & email templates, e-signatures

Cons

Finding answers to specific questions that videos or help center don't have. (For example: Conditions All/Any is briefly explained but no multiple examples to understand it). Next available date for onboarding and/or white glove service too far (3 weeks). Need more templates in Spanish. No option to rename default folders in bulk. No option to select language for Default folders.

So, far I really like it. Will know better at end of tax season. Support seems superior.

Pros

Cost, support has been superb, client portal, online organizer.

Cons

Importing complete contact list was challenging, however I must take responsibility for part of that. Some stock email, contracts are not useful as they are not suitable for my application. Credit processing fees way too high. I think the KBA signatures are costly, yet I will try to use this year.

I use Pitbull for resolution work, just didn't want to get involved in CRM section. Canopy, I tried, but I found support lacking and very confusing communication tools for clients.

Pros

I love that you can manage communication with the client. They have their own portal that keeps documents indefinitely, you can set up organizers, create and sign agreements all in one place. The billing, task management and workflows are a positive as well. This software literally takes the place of several tools.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like yet. Maybe after some more time using the software I will have suggestions for improvement.

### "Just starting -- excited about this all-in-one solution!"

I have been on trial for the free 14 days plus I asked for an extension of time to be sure. I focused on workflow. It might not be as slick as Karbon, but it is everything I need and simple enough to set up. I also took a pretty close look at file management because I was really happy with SmartVault and could not switch to Liscio for file mgmt because their desktop app didn't function like I needed. The desktop app functions like a drive on your computer -- so you print to it, drag & drop, edit pdf workpapers and save back to the original folder easily, ...

Pros

I like that it's all-in-one. It will help me keep clients organized on the firm side and client side with file management, workflow, emails, messaging, ... I like that they have a mobile app to keep phone messaging off text and secure. It is easy for clients to upload pictures and files from their phone to their account.

Cons

You have to pay for a year up-front with no guarantee and no refund if it doesn't work out. They will extend your 14 day trial if you request it -- so you can make sure it will work. I am also concerned with the fact that it is all-in-one. I haven't used it long enough to know but I suspect they can not do everything well. I focused on the most important things in the trial and trust those will be good enough.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

I was close to choosing Karbon and staying with SmartVault. That would have been twice as expensive and would still not have given me everything that TD offers.
