Communication and organization. I have never worried about scaling the tax side of my company because until the last couple years I could do it all myself. As we have added offices and tax professionals that need for commination and organization grew to where we are today turning it over to TD.

Pros

So, far what I like most is the automatic communication I can have with my clients. In 2020 especially we went from a firm who met almost every client in person to one that met hardly anyone at all. Our client communication and timing was off all season.

Cons

The biggest thing that would be helpful to me today would be messaging to my staff. One of the first clients I set up on TD was one that I thought I should send my staff a note on. That function will be great as I hear it is in the works.

### "I am back!"

I was an early adopter of Tax Dome and I felt this was a cutting edge product. I am back due to the fact that I have not found a product that has so many services provided in one. I evaluated my tech stack this year and noticed how many programs that I have in play, so decided I need to come back to Tax Dome in a effort to streamline.

Pros

I personally love the option for my clients to sign up on their own, that is one of the major reasons I appreciate this product.

Cons

I can't say that there was a feature that I did not like. I was just a little disappointed with paying full price for additional users. I'm over it though.

Overall, great bang for the buck.

Pros

Cost effective KBA authentication, workflow management, and automated communications are great.

Cons

While there are templates, they sometimes need tweaking. So, be prepared for a setup meeting or a lot of help article reading. I have an IT background, and I am still going to need to do a setup meeting.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

The cost for KBA definitely was the deciding factor for me. The cost of KBA alone of other products, is about the same as the entire TaxDome suite.

So far, so good. Did my online research and now that I've personally used, believe it is a solid product that I'm looking forward to using more.

Pros

I've liked the secure portal. I've added my logo, and with the optional client app, it just has a more professional feel than I had using Google Drive. The optional templates, such as the organizers that allow doc uploads directly from the questionnaire are a nice touch. Had to reach out to support once, and had a response via chat feature within 5 minutes. The price point was also very attractive, significantly cheaper than Canopy (also looked into). Also like that the price is all-inclusive, so don't feel like I'm getting nickel and dimed for extra clients, storage, etc.

Cons

I'd say the two biggest improvements I'd request are the ability to bill on a recurring basis (subscription model) and the ability to upload more video types (I use screen/audio recording tech to walk-thru client data, currently via Loom) to portal.

Overall very happy. As my business grows I will add the automation and workflows. It is affordable for a new business compared to others which require a significant investment.

Pros

I love that I can communicate with clients in a secure portal and have all relevant information at hand (contract, signatures, invoice, and payment)

Cons

The app is basically for messaging only. I cannot add clients on the go.

So far so good. Taxdome has been very responsive with daily emails on the steps to get setup and provided alot of youtube videos to help point us in the right direction. They have added additional training this coming week so hopefully that will answer my remaining questions

Pros

I'm exciting about having a single dashboard for our team and our clients to use. This will replace 4-5 other services we're using.

Cons

Not sure yet - just started using it. One thing I'm concerned about is being able to get a report daily/weekly of the time being billed by each team member. I currently using ebillity that allows me to see a timesheet so I can confirm all the hours for the day were records. So i'm hoping taxdome has something similar but haven't seen it yet.

the amount of accuracy TaxDome offers is what I appreciate most about them.to ensure everything is accurate, they make sure to double-check all of my paperwork and offer in-depth reports.

the lack of customizing choices is what I enjoy the least about TaxDome, that's the only down that i didn't like .

### "Great Software to Level Up"

I'm glad to find something where I can keep track of client emails. I get so many emails daily and it was easy to overlook client requests. I love how the documents attach to the client records.

Pros

I like the fact that I can look at my client's account and see all the emails that were sent. I also like the ability to lock a document before receiving payment. This is really good for my new online clients that I haven't built a relationship with yet. I also like the ability to track revenue by month, week, and prior year.

Cons

I wish that I could process live credit card payments or set it up on recurring client payments. I think it would be the perfect software if it had that feature.

### "Great product so far"

Pros

I have only experienced the trial of this software. However, it seems easy to use. It is great that you can provide the client portal for secure online communication and file sharing. I believe it is going to be a very beneficial tool in the new tax season!

Cons

I do not feel that I have worked in the software long enough to have any complaints at this time, but I am sure as I go along I will find small things. No software is with out glitches. However, customer service seems great and willing to assist.

### "I've been looking for this my whole career"

Pros

The task tracker and workflow management feature is worth it's weight in gold. I've been looking for this feature forever and am extremely pleased with the ease of setting it up. I was able to import my clients in a matter of minutes without errors from QBO. I also love the ability to upload docs to a client under a firm only file and input notes as needed. TaxDome is a game changer for sure!

Cons

I've only been using it for 9 days and haven't had the chance to use all the features yet.

Getting to know the software. Will need to learn a lot more. Seem that there are duplicated folders that make it look a bit confusing. Also, need to track how to download in bulk and how to spot quickly the documents that were not touched yet, after a client uploaded them to the portal.

Pros

Overall ease of setup and use. Customer support thus far.

Cons

I see duplicated folders. Might be an easy fix. Did not find right away, how to tell what uploaded files were dealt with by me.

TaxDome really does bring under one roof so many different applications. I've spent years burning myself out managing multiple applications at once. Time is my most valuable resource and TaxDome let's me keep it!

Cons

Embeddable forms/organizer. I wish I could build out a forms/organizers and make them available to prospects/clients without them needing to login to TaxDome first.
