Pros I especially like the client portal because it is intuitive and provides a lot of uses for our clients. Signing engagement letters, completing tax organizers, and uploading documents are crucial to have in one account. Cons The software is a bit overwhelming because it is so robust, but there are a lot of tools available to assist the user. The owners and tech support listen to your needs and react quickly. Pros Taxdome collects many of the pieces of information to run an accounting firm in one place. You can personalize the setup to fit within your practice. It tracks your processes and helps you track the stage of completion for each project or tax return. The software can even push client emails to the software, so it can b be tracked along with other client data. I like the fact that you can automate some of the steps. It even tracks time and billing, though not with all the statistical information in a traditional time and billing package. But who knows, they could add that in the future. Cons Currently, some of the steps are a bit clunky. However, I think as the software continues in it's growth cycle, I believe things will flow better. It was a literal disaster if any one piece had an issue as nothing was integrated. This also has made me consider hiring help, as now my processes will be easier to deploy and manage. Pros I like that this software replaces several ala carte functions I was using previously. This software replaced my Adobe subscription, Drop box, and signature services and keeps everything in one place. It has the ability to really create a transformation in not only the effort it takes to provide services but in an improved client experience. Pros I love the efficiencies this tool can provide the solopreneur/small team. While the setup can be frustrating the front loaded effort is worth it! Cons The CRM is not yet a deep one. Bulk email to clients; keep track of where client's tax returns were in the process; gather all the communications (email; my notes; texts) in one place easily; set up a website; etc., etc., etc. I was not looking forward to the many little tasks involved in each of these jobs, so I wasn't doing any of them. Then a recommendation on a FB accountant's page made me look at TaxDome. So far, it has everything I needed. I signed up for the 2 week trial and set up a couple of clients to tax it for me. They loved it so much better than what I was using. Within the 2 weeks, I had set everyone up, sent emails covering tax changes due to COVID-19 and was up and running. Within the next week, I expect to have my website up. I am impressed. Cons Billing - since I don't need this feature, I'd like to be able to remove it from my home page. Pros A friend recommended I am so surprise. With different uses, from storing documents, issuing corporate emails, passing through direct communication with the clients, in addition to the option of charging integrated to the electronic signature of documents. If you put the time into developing and utilizing its capabilities, it is unreal. Pros This platform literally replaces everything I have had to manage in multiple places over the last decade. Cons The only negative is that they require you to pay annually, which is saying a lot but the investment is well worth it. Pros Many training videos available to make use of the plethora of features. Cons Lengthy setup process. QBO integration will not upload existing clients or auto sync. All must be done manually. Best of all, this all takes place in a single, consolidated dashboard.
