### "Everything I need and more!"

Absolutely love having everything in one place. This platform is exactly what I've been looking for to enhance my virtual accounting office.

Pros

The ability to upload all of my prior clients onto the platform was seamless. Not to mention, the ease of setting up my practice and integrating my custom domain so that my clients could find it easily was a no brainer! I also love the capability to lock the tax document until payment is received. Although I offer bank products to pay fees through refunds, some clients opt to pay me directly , so this will alleviate me having to chase them down for payment.

Cons

So far the only con I can think of is that documents that my clients have uploaded do not go into the current year folder; they have to be manually moved. If they automated this, that would give this platform no cons from me! I'm also still learning the platform and I'm excited about the possibilities.

### "So far exactly what I need"

For as little as it costs compared to it's competitors I'm impressed with what it offers. Hopefully they keep it up and continue to imporve.

Pros

This has a good CRM specific for an accounting practice. Traditional CRM's are too one size fits all. Portal is decent but would like to see some more customization options but all portals have their flaws. I like the automation options which will help trigger next actions and will eliminate some human intervention.

Cons

I'd like to see a little more flexibility in the default folder structure in the portal. There is definitely a learning curve to setting up workflow automations but looks like there is a lot that can be done once you get it down.

### "THE SOLUTION"

I have realized a huge drop in time it takes to manage projects. I have streamlined project management and my visibility of the clients information is much better and easier.

Pros

Tax Dome solves so many issues with managing a small bookkeeping and tax practice. It is wonderful to have the document exchange software resident with the practice management. The client communication is great as well as the payment and invoicing software. I am so relieved to have found this package. Even importing the clients and getting the tasks set up what so simple, I will have everything ready to go today!

Cons

I haven't really found anything I don't like at this time. I know I will eventually have suggestions but at this point it is such an improvement from what I was using that I just don't know what I would change.

Reason for choosing TaxDome

Everything in one place. I really like that I can have our client files be accessible by the clients and the staff based on how I allocate them. I also like that I can just print an email from a client to the file and that my staff person can see the email if I forget. I also like that I can see the hours put into the project and bill and get paid straight out of the software.

### "All In One"

It combines all of the functions in my business that previously I had utilized through various vendors. It allows for one central place to manage and store everything I need to manage my tax practice.

Cons

I haven't had the time or capacity to learn all that this software offers, so it will require some training before I'm able to fully utilize the capabilities.

### "Initial set up super easy and quick"

I've found the video tutorials much more helpful than the white glove service for onboarding. The white glove service feels a little like it has been outsourced and they have a standard script of questions to work through on the initial phone call despite the preliminiary email asking about what you need help with.

Pros

I like that is has lots of options and functionality. I'm able to eliminate several other apps since they have options including virtual document signing and a document storage.

Cons

I love that they have the workflows and automations of work flows, but they are somewhat difficult and complicated to navigate upon set up and determine what it is you actually need to do first. The video tutorials are the most help.

We like that it integrates all our documents and the company information in one place. We hope to get the workflow to run smoothly so we can disconnect 17hats.

### "Love this ALL IN ONE software"

Pros

I love that this is a software that is all in one. I have been looking for a portal that has a client portal and built in organizer independent of my tax software. The software helps keep me on task and updates clients where we are in the preparation process.

Cons

My initial thoughts, Uploading the documents using the desktop version wasn't as simple as I thought it would be. It works great but it's not as simple as uploading the existing folders from my computer.

Pros

Cons

I would like to see the software have the capability to have smartfields to expedite processes. Also would like to see integration with Xero accounting software.

Pros

I like the integration between users and the syncing of emails. It definitely has saved me time with it all in one place.

I wish there was a bit more flexibility with printing client contact information.

### "Great product"

This is a great product. With the exception of the contracts section, everything I need to communicate with my client is right there. I was looking for a product, where I can email, send a message, and store documents and this software does just that.

Pros

I like this software puts everything that pertains to a client all in one area.

Cons

The contracts templates can be more sophisticated as well as the sync to QuickBooks section. It would be nice for clients to see the invoices that are in QuickBooks in the portal. All my billing is automated in QuickBooks so I won't be using the billing feature in TaxDome.

### "New user - so far pretty good"

We switched to TaxDome after 4 years of using SmartVault for our client portal. We had grown to the point where we needed a more robust CRM for efficiency and client tracking. We like a lot of TaxDome’s capabilities, but we are still working through how to use them.

Pros

The integration w email, tracking time, and setting up tasks is great.

Cons

Can’t delete irrelevant emails, transferring data from SmartVault has been more work than expected, group emailing still has bugs in it.

TaxDome's Email sync works by showing you emails on your email server (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) Inside of TaxDome. If you DELETE an email - it won't show in TaxDome (Because delete means you actually delete it from your server). But if you archive an email from your inbox, it will show in TaxDome. ### "All in One or at least as close as you get!"

In the shor two weeks I have been impressed with the software and the most importantly the customer support.

Pros

Most of the important work is in one place.

Cons

I would like a firm storage space. I will set up my firm files under a "client" as a work around, however, I would like a clear and separate space for Firm Documents and storage sometime in the future.

So far I have had a great experience settting up the software and I think that it is an improvement in what we used in the past!

Pros

I love that tax dome eliminates the need to have multiple subscriptions. You can log into one place and access your portal, billing, client data, and job tracking. There are also a lot of instructional videos to help you get set up.

Cons

I do wish that I could have a married couple e-sign one engagement letter.

Pros

The document storage and client portal is easy to use on the firm and client side.

Cons

Adding in clients can be cumbersome and time consuming as the import options are limited. E-signature in windows only is also problematic.

### "Wish I had this long ago... "

Communicating with clients and receiving documents in one place is awesome! I love the e-signature feature. Trying it out for the first time now... awaiting a client review.

Pros

Having all documents in one place... client communication, forms, files. Simplification.

Cons

Some features were difficult to figure out so it takes some time. Also, the word integration is misleading. Tax Products are not integrated, but you can upload CSV files. That's useful.

Overall I was searching for something that could handle online organizers and got so much more. The organizer feature is easy to use and you can create custom organizers. Our clients love it too.

Pros

There are many features all in one program. The tax organizer is great and simple to use. Having a sign feature right in the same program keeps everything in one place

Cons

Cannot scan directly to the taxdome drive. Cannot create the yearly folders from within the taxdome drive which makes the workflow not as efficient as it could be.
