Pros So far, I'm excited about having one place to do everything. This will definitely save time and money. Cons One thing I haven't seen yet is a calendar feature that would allow for reminders for different days, ie. birthday, client anniversary, renewal dates, etc. I think that would add a much needed value to the product. I look forward to streamline my processes this season. Pros That I can use TaxDome to handle some of the tasks that I use to other programs. I can see what I have to do in front of me and have to cross check. Cons I’m still new to this program and TaxDome is also relatively new so they are still having to iron out some things. Pros The product was easy to transfer to and setup. Clients loved that it was just one place that they could go to for everything. Cons The onboarding experience could be a little better. but everything was easy to figure out on your own. They assign an account manager but it comes from a generic email. Pros Our company has especially liked how this software has many different tools integrated. You can communicate, bill, and store documents for individual clients in their profiles. Cons The biggest problem we have is the integration of Quickbooks with TaxDome. Obviously you can have it go one way (bill in TaxDome and it converts to Quickbooks, but not the other way around). Pros Most importantly, I like that TaxDome has bank level security. I also love that I can request documents to be updated by my clients. The messaging will also be helpful to use as a more secure way to ask my clients business related questions. Cons I wish there was an option to drag and drop files into a different category instead of selecting "move" and clicking through the different folders. I also wish that there was a way to both have a client type in a document and sign it at the same time. The two steps will make it more difficult for my clients. Pros Ease of getting started, importing contacts, files, etc. Cons The interplay between accounts and contacts could be more intuitive, same goes for workflows/jobs/tasks, however, the 45-minute support sessions have helped. Pros We implemented tax dome after the end of the filing season, we needed a easy to use and deploy tool to manage client workstreams and implement an effective client portal. The software is easy to use and configure. It is also very flexible. Our clients like what it brings to the table for them. It is foundational tool for us to grow and expand the practice in an ever expanding virtual world Cons Just the time it takes to get everything tweaked, not really an issue with the software just the transition. I do wish they offered a monthly subscription for smaller companies instead of making you pay the annual fee in a lump sum. Pros The CRM is great. I love being able to store additional contacts outside of just my clients. I also like that you can set up your clients with different levels of access. Cons Like most programs like this, it can be a little tricky to get setup the way you want it as far as the task management, pipelines etc... Hope that I can automate many of the little things that I do over the year so that I can do more of the actual thinking work. Reminders is a big one that will be automated. Billing is my least favorite so I have decided to automate as much of it as possible. Pros I wanted this software for secure signing and it handles that beautifully. I didn't realize that it would also help me become more organized. I have decent systems that I have used for decades but they are all separate. I can see myself saving time with this program and after the last couple of tax seasons that is an almost overwhelming thought. Cons I've lost some entries because I didn't see the save button at the bottom of the screen. I wish there was something that asked if you want to save before leaving the page.
