I'm just past the trial stage...hard to tell so far.

Pros

I'm a new tax business...so, this should be helpful in establishing processes and dynamics related to operating.

Cons

Not thrilled that paying monthly is so much more than the annual. Every other software I use surely offers a discount...but sheesh...a 50% markup for monthly isn't something that I feel resonates well with smaller practices and newer users.

I am pleased thus far and excited about having TD to help manage my workflow and administrative processes.

Pros

I have attempted to streamline my workflow with other products and the onboarding/migration was too cumbersome. Additionally the prices for the other products kept increasing and it was costing more to keep basic/critical components. TD checked both boxes with it's easy to use platform at an exceptional price. I signed up for the free trial and things are moving along better than expected. I couldn't wait for the free trial to end to unlock the other paid features.

Cons

I recently changed my email address and the email sync only allows you to sync to one email address. They offered a workaround and I have the option to change my email address in the future. I would like to see the required annual user subscription allow more than one email address to be synced.

### "Streamlined my Workflow"

Pros

I just started using TaxDome a couple of months ago and I love it. TaxDome does almost everything I need for my tax business. (I say almost because I know they are still adding things, and soon it will do everything). The client portal, workflows, email integration, billing, and all the automated tasks have helped me get organized for this tax season. My clients are already telling me how nice the client portal looks. Also integrates well with Drake software. The staff has been incredibly responsive as well!

Cons

Still waiting for them to provide an electronic signature feature like DocuSign (allowing for KBA authentication). Also would be nice to have a client appointment feature similar to Acuity. But those certainly are not deal breakers.

Support has been fantastic and its super easy to get started.

Pros

I love the ability to create automated workflows and be able to track all of my client accounts in one place.

Cons

It takes a while to set it up correctly. I'm still working on all of my workflows. I wish that it integrated with more of my existing tech. I had to switch my payment platform, my scheduling platform, etc.

A friend recommended it and the price is stellar for all the of functionality it can do, which is everything I needed all in one tool.

The way Zapier works is it allows two applications that don't have a native integration to talk to one another through 'triggers'. We support Zapier, and if your application does, then they can work together. Super happy - - clients love the ease of use

Pros

I had to make a quick change over in February after 3 years on another portal platform when my provider tripled my annual fee. Tax Dome was referred by a colleague, and I was able to get it set up and working within a few days so I could request year end documents from many bookkeeping clients. The messaging feature and document request are simple to learn

Cons

Just takes time to learn where to click - some processes are not intuitive

I feel like this software is missing a simplicity component, we are using it for everything but if we want to run clients through the system and not have it trigger a welcome to the portal email there is no tag for that or no way to use a tag like that

### "Tax Dome the best CRM manager for a tax practice"

nothing is getting missed. all tasks are tracked in tax dome and we don't require so many programs now. Only need to log into 2 programs instead of 5 or 6.

Pros

Super easy to use, keeps our practice organized so nothing is missed, and everything is all in one platform. billing, tax docs, communication with clients and soon an appointment calendar and they are constantly improving the software

There is nothing we didn't like about it

We are excited to use TaxDome and hopefully see our bookkeeping and tax workflow improve!

Pros

Our firm loves that TaxDome is an all-in-one software so our "tech stack" isn't so large. Too many apps have negatively impacted our efficiency.

Cons

Unlike Practice Ignition, we won't be able to automatically collect monthly payments from clients. The second thing we are struggling with is that TaxDome doesn't yet integrate with Xero.

Hi @Cindy -- thanks for your review! Re; automatically collect monthly payments. This is in our roadmap, so you will be able to do this soon! You can automatically send invoices via automations (including on a schedule - say every 1st of the month) - but it won't charge the client automatically. Automatic drawdown on the 1st of the month (example) will be coming.

The overall experience has been really positive it has help us gain more clients as well as secure the clients we already have with the facility the app gives them as well as for us our employees are more satisfied as well

Pros

What I like the most about Taxdome is that our clients are really satisfied with it they are able to communicate with us whenever they need too, sign contracts, pay as well and you can have it either on your desktop or in your mobil device

Cons

There is nothing I dislike maybe just the price but that will be it

Pros

I like the ease of use once you learn the how, which doesn't take too long. I love the helpful videos to answer questions. Onboarding meetings have been super helpful. This software is very inexpensive for what you receive. I am able to cancel several separate subscriptions and hope to cancel more as more features are rolled out.

Cons

The thing I like least is that I would like to be able to create templates with more of my brand colors and images. I like to talk in my own voice as myself and use emojis but I can't brand things that way. I little to stoic for my taste but the automation in one place outways that "negative." I would also like to be able to use more shortcodes for emails. I have 1 LLC and 1 dba but can only sync one email. The ability to sync more than one email would be helpful.

### "TaxDome is Awesome"

Thus far Taxdome covers all of my business needs except task and to do planning that have nothing to do with the client but only with the firm. This product would be 5 star across the board if this was implemented

Pros

I love this software and so do my clients. It is easy to use both user facing and client facing. My clients love that they have a secure portal that consolidates all of their documents, and really our entire transaction is done through TaxDome.

Cons

TaxDome NEEDS a separate task or to do list that isnt client based. something similar to clickup. That way it would be a 1 stop shop for all of my firms needs. If TaxDome had an adhoc task and to do list that is just for the firm, that has nothing to do with the client at all then TaxDome would be unstoppable

### "New User - So Far So Good"

Main objective is to make sure we are dealing with all projects efficiently, and not missing any to-do items in a busy tax office.

Pros

Support videos and daily onboarding sessions make it easy for a multi-member team to get up to speed. We ultimately selected this software because of all-in-one integration project management with client portals and communication.

Cons

Some basic features still need to be deployed, such as @ mentions to loop in a team member, and ACH for payments. However, it seems that many new features are pending and expected to be released in 2021.
