### "Highly recommend TaxDome!"

April 12, 2026

5.0

Overall the TaxDome experience has been great. The software is great to use but there is a learning curve. One definitely needs to invest time and resources to get it going properly to make the office more efficient.

Pros

I really like that it automizes a lot of our tasks and communication with our clients. It has made our office much more efficient. I also like that we can charge the client within TaxDome by connecting our Stripe account.

Cons

I do not like the fact that digital boards have not been working since we started using TaxDome about a year and a half ago. We have continuously been reaching to the TaxDome team about the issue. They keep telling us that the issue will be worked on. However, it still has not been fixed. It would be amazing if they functioned correctly.

### "TaxDome is a great program"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, our firm is pleased with the TaxDome program. It has been user-friendly for both employees and clients, and we appreciate the customizable features and the customer service.

Pros

We appreciate the overall wide range of customizable features in the program. The specific components of the program that are used most by our firm, workflow/pipelines and time/billing have become easy to navigate and we are always finding new ways to customize our experience to best serve our clients. Clients express that the client portal is user-friendly. The site builder feature was also very helpful.

Cons

We wish our onboarding program was a little more in-depth. I also wish there was a way to combine accounts (not just contacts) when a duplicate account is made.

### "TD Overall Review"

April 7, 2026

3.0

I'd give it a 3-4 stars. Once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. It's just so much to learn to do correctly.

Pros

I like how all encompassing TD is. It really has the capability to house the entire process all in one system. It includes the tax return process, client communication, billing, and more all in one place.

Cons

TD can also be clunky and not user friendly at times. There are too many clicks to do anything. The way it tracks time is also not my favorite.

### "Highly recommend TaxDome"

February 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, TaxDome has been the single most vital technology tool that my business uses to manage client engagements. I tried several other tools, from Excel, to Monday, Canopy, Karbon and at least for a small to mid-size firm, TaxDome is the only one that has delivered on its promise to make life easier.

Pros

TaxDome is extremely intuitive to use. It has extensive functionality but does not force you to use more than you need. The workflows are easy to build and easy to automate and has vastly improved our ability to simply keep track of and manage our tax client engagement. As a small business, It has saved me thousands of dollars in time and efficiency without having to increase headcount. Their customer service is responsive and their support and tutorial videos are very easy to follow.

Cons

Its hard for me to say what I like least about TaxDome because as I've mentioned the architecture allows you to use what you need and pretty much skip the complexity or functionality that you dont.

### "Great Software"

April 7, 2026

4.0

We’ve had a very positive experience with TaxDome. Overall, it has made our tax season run much more smoothly and has helped streamline our workflow, client communication, and document management. The setup process is definitely time-consuming and can feel a bit overwhelming at first. However, the TaxDome support team was consistently friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the process, which made a big difference. Once everything was up and running, the system became a great asset to our firm. I would absolutely recommend TaxDome to other firms—just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to set it up properly and learn the platform before your busy season begins.

Pros

Streamlines tax season and makes the overall workflow smoother, Improves organization of documents and client information, client and staff communication through one centralized platform, helps keep processes consistent and efficient, Strong support team, helps keep the firm more organized during busy season

Cons

Setup process is time-consuming and can feel overwhelming, steep learning curve, especially at the beginning, requires significant upfront time investment before seeing benefits, takes trial and error to learn, limited reporting

April 7, 2026

I like Taxdome very much, I use to to follow up with our hundreds of T1 clients, and all the status are clear, no need to check with clients back and forth

Pros

it's all-in-one management platform is very helpful. You can do anything in client's account, and check any updates from there

Cons

When you set up a job, you can not make it show on the job list on a scheduled date, it has to be shown at once and makes a little confusion for the job list

### "Good - Would recommend as an option"

April 7, 2026

Its a decent product. I use it on a weekly basis with the rest of my team all throughout the year. For bookkeeping clients as well as tax only clients.

Pros

I like that everything is all together and you can assign tasks to different people. Not a lot to say

Cons

The extra login code required. That its not necessarily easy to go from one screen to another and that I don't always get emails when clients respond.

### "Tax Dome Review by RM"

April 7, 2026

5.0

It was overall a good organizer, whether it was for document, tasks and/or communication. I was able to store and organize documents, clients can also share theirs. I am able to manage and monitor my tasks and communicate my comments with the team.

Pros

Tax Managment - I like that I was able to manage my team tasks properly, monitor what stage the task is in.

Cons

Adding Sub-folders in Docs section, I don't think there was an option that you can directly add a sub-folder. I only know to ad folder and then you have to move it to the main folder for it to be a sub-folder. I also do not like that there is no option for me to view a task of certain teammate. Although you can view "All Tasks"

Clean UI and strong features overall, but slow drive performance and lag can impact efficiency and workflow consistency

Pros

The mobile app stands out for its clean, intuitive interface and overall user-friendly design. the mobile app delivers a polished mobile experience that effectively complements its desktop platform and enhances workflow efficiency for modern tax professionals.

Cons

The drive often feels slow during everyday use, particularly when opening, uploading, or syncing files.

### "Usefully and always improving"

December 22, 2025

4.0

Overall it's been positive. Each year we get better and better alongside the program. I do wish there was more transparency with pricing. When we first signed up we asked about increases and were told that TD had not raised prices in 5 years so it was unlikely to increase. Then 6 months after we sign up there's an increase. There's been yearly increases. Offering "locked in" pricing is great but making people pay 3 years upfront is insane. That's a HUGE amount of money for any firm but especially to small/mid size firms that this program is designed for. Paid yearly with a contract to pay out remainder if canceled earlier is way better and far more reasonable

Pros

I like that the design team & founders actually value the feedback of its clients and make real changes when it comes to use of the product. there's a slight learning curve as with any new product BUT it's not like you're trying to solve a calculus question. The biggest learning curve will be changing the habits of your team. Accountants don't like change but TaxDome provides a positive change

Cons

Their timeline for features should be considered against an accounting/CPA/tax prep's real world calendar and deadlines. Having features that we would greatly benefit our tax season but not coming out until the end of Q1 \[end of tax season\] isn't helpful to us. Tax prep features need to come out either Q2 or Q3 so we have time to test and implement. I also think there needs to be some type of "scale" when it comes to wanted features. What may seem unimportant to 10% of firms may be a high priority to 85% of others.

### "More things to do"

November 25, 2025

3.0

I like it but I think there should be a lot more. Because if it is an automatization crm it should do more automatized tasks and not limited as it is. Including API and more easy integrations

Pros

I think that CRM concept is great and it is well intended for tax prepares and accounting firm which is great and even though they keep improving it, I feel there is a lot more to do.

Cons

The annual price structure + it is per user and their implementation process. I understand they have a great academy but honestly the building of the workflow and pipelines are not easy to do.

### "Great, but slow to start - been building our process for over a year and still not finished."

January 13, 2026

4.0

Overall good , but we are not yet able to take full advantage of it because they initial setup requires a lot of time and attention and we are a very busy office.

Pros

Polished site we can direct clients to sign up for is nice to have. The integration with windows and rightworks is a must. Could not use without it!

Cons

I wish editing client data was doable in table form after the initial upload. If we could get a nice dense view of client statuses and we can change data from that view, this would finally replace the shared spreadsheet we use to track client status. User side would be great if more focused on data than dashboard appearance. I don't think we've ever used a "dashboard" for anything productive.

### "Constant Feature Upgrades = Great Value"

October 31, 2025

5.0

I love how responsive TaxDome is to feature requests, and the fact that they are constantly updating it with new features. It makes me feel confident that even among a changing tech landscape, TaxDome will still be worth the investment for many many years to come. The value keeps going up as they add new features.

Pros

I think the best part about TaxDome is the fact they listen to their customers, and are constantly adding new features to improve their product. There is a feedback section that allows you to suggest new features or suggest changes to old features, and they genuinely do make changes based on the feedback. I leave feedback all the time, and they've implemented many of my suggestions.

Cons

My firm used to use Sharefile to transmit documents securely to and from clients, and now TaxDome has pretty much replaced Sharefile for us, however, I wish it had the ability to work in a similar way to Sharefile for non-clients because currently we are still haven't to keep Sharefile for people like financial advisors and others who aren't clients so therefore they don't have a good way to securely send us documents through TaxDome.

### "Love TaxDome"

October 6, 2025

5.0

I've been with TaxDome for about 4 years and I switched from Jotform to TaxDome at the start of a tax season because I sold on having a better process for my clients and I've been sold ever since.

Pros

I love that I can manage all of my clients in one place. I offer a variety of services such as tax preparation, tax resolution and bookkeeping and I'm able all of the services I offer for my clients in one place.

Cons

The only con I have is being able to have the option to understand how to better make good use of the workflow automations as I am still doing some manual things for my bookkeeping clients. But that's a 'me' issue.

### "Happy as a small firm owner"

September 2, 2025

4.0

I am very happy with TaxDome, although I am not using all the platform has to offer yet, it certainly fits my needs at the time and I like that I can grow with it.

Pros

As a small firm, having a secure way to exchange information with clients is essential and this is easy for both me and clients to use. It's also a wonderful and easy way to get clients to sign electronically and help minimize time having to meet with clients.

Cons

The pricing is getting steep for a small firm just starting. I would love to take advantage of the discounts, but don't have the cash flow to pay 3 years up front. I think the pipelines take a lot of work which is hard to devote the time when you are a one person firm. I am looking forward to see what bookkeeping help you have in the future.

### "BEST ON THE MARKET NOW, BUT NEEDS SIGNIFICANT UPDATING"

June 26, 2025

3.0

ITS THE BEST ON THE MARKET SO FAR. IT REALLY NEEDS SHARED INBOX, BETTER CALENDAR, API INTEGRATION AND WORK SCHEDULING. ITS A GREAT TOOL BUT IT CAN REALLY BE ALOT BETTER ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE POINT.

Pros

ITS THE BEST ON THE MARKET. BEST FOR AUTOMATION AND FIRM MANAGEMENT. GREAT FOR CLIENT ONBOARDING AND COMMUNICATION

Cons

NO SHARED INBOX MANAGEMENT LIKE KARBON, VERY SORELY NEEDED. BEEN PROMISING UNCAT INTEGRATION LIKE FINANCIAL CENTS FOR MONTHS, STILL NOT HERE. NEEDS MORE PAYMENT PROCESSOR CHOICES. NEEDS BETTER API INTEGRATION TO CREATE TASKS TO ASSOCIATE WITH ACCOUNTS AND CONTACTS LIKE WHEN I FINISH A CALL WITH A CLIENT ON FIREFLIES AND I CAN CONNECT IT TO AUTO CREATE TASKS FROM THAT MEETING. IT ALSO SHOULD INTEGRATE A AI COMPONENT TO CHAT WITH CLIENT INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS AND HELP CREATE EMAILS, CHATS ETC. A NATIVE INTEGRATION WITH INTUIT LINK AND PROCONNECT WOULD BE AMAZING

### "Excellent Software Tool for My Practice"

February 25, 2026

5.0

Excellent. I love how TaxDome continues to add features. I barley scratched the surface of all it can do. I feel I don't have the time right now to really dive into certain things (workflow/jobs for example), but I will this summer. It'll will be good to get a better understanding as my practice grows.

Pros

Super clean and easy to use. Clients really enjoy it as well. I love having everything I need in one spot. I highly recommend this product to anyone with an accounting/tax practice.

Cons

I like it all and have no real complaints. One thing I would like to see updated is the invoice piece within the proposal/engagement letter module. When a client accepts the proposal, it automatically invoices them with "today's" due date. I know there is an option to choose a different date, but that's not really helpful either. Here's why- I would like an option to be able to invoice the client after I perform the work (date is unknown at the time of agreement), instead of at the time of agreement. Say you sign a tax client in October, and you want to send the proposal to get the EL signed and price agreed upon, however, you don't want to invoice at that time. The client might not like the idea that they have this open invoice that says it's due now, when you don't need them to pay until months later. My previous agreement/payment software I used, Anchor, had this option- The client had to enter payment information in order to accept the agreement, but the firm (me) had the ability to invoice and charge their card when we wanted (when the work was completed for example)

### "Got some weak spots, but overall 10/10 great."

October 16, 2025

5.0

Overall its great. Learning courses provided to better your understanding is an awesome feature. I have not completed all of mine yet but plan to set aside time for it now that season is over.

Pros

Once you get the hang of it, it's got a good UI and UX. Like everything, new software takes getting used to. Customer/User support is very helpful and knowledgeable. TaxDome developers? those in charge are always introducing new tools to streamline the process.

Cons

There seems to be a delay with higher volume of users or the strain on the servers is palpable around deadlines (4-15, 9-15, and 10-15). Additionally there is a current issue with editing documents, when saving your changes and moving on, come back to find the document was not in fact saved at all requiring you to edit the document all over again taking more time. I do not trust document edits until after 5-6 minutes. The "saving" of edited documents is not instant and requires monitoring for the green document saved message. Sometimes it will flash that and you think you're in the clear...nope! Pretty frustrating when you cannot allocate too much time to one document/client and need to keep moving.

### "Efficiency and Value in One Platform"

August 21, 2025

5.0

It has definitely been a game changer for our firm’s operations. Having automated processes, guided procedures, and different integrations—such as team chat, client communication channels, and automated payment and billing integrated into the client portal, where clients can choose the payment option that best suits them and process the payment themselves—has brought a lot of efficiency to our daily workflow. Tax management has also become much more efficient, both for us and for our clients. Today, our team is more focused on providing personalized service and supporting our clients’ growth, rather than spending time on small tasks that are now automated. The value we get from the platform is truly worth every penny.

Pros

Having everything in one place. The pipeline helps our team follow standard procedures, ensuring that the quality of work is always consistent, regardless of who is performing the task. It also makes training and execution much easier, since we can add training links directly into tasks and jobs.

Cons

At the moment, I can’t really say there’s anything I dislike. TaxDome is constantly evolving, and their team quickly addresses any negative points by actively listening to user feedback. That said, if I had to mention one thing, I would love to see WhatsApp integrated into the platform, the same way email and SMS are.

### "A Powerful Tool for an Organized, Efficient Tax Practice"

July 4, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with TaxDome has been very positive. It has helped me stay organized, streamline communication with clients, and maintain a more professional image. The platform makes it easy to manage documents, collect e-signatures, and keep everything in one place. While I’m still adjusting some workflows — especially around video sharing, which I used to do more freely with my previous system — I appreciate the structure and efficiency TaxDome brings to my practice. It’s a solid tool for growing and managing a modern tax and accounting firm.

Pros

I use TaxDome to manage client information and documents, and it has truly streamlined my workflow. I love how easy it is to communicate with clients through the platform — everything looks professional and is well organized. I especially appreciate the Gmail synchronization and the ability to use email templates throughout every step of my workflow — it saves a lot of time and keeps communication consistent. The e-signature feature is especially helpful, making the signing process simple and efficient for both me and my clients. Overall, TaxDome has made my practice more efficient and client-friendly.

Cons

One thing I really miss from my previous platform (ShareFile) is the ability to easily share videos. At the beginning of tax season, I used to upload instructional videos and simply send clients a direct link — no login or restrictions required, which made access very simple. With TaxDome, I haven’t found a way to replicate that functionality yet. I would love to see an option for easier video sharing in the future. I’m still figuring out how I’ll manage this for next tax season. One feature I’d love to see improved is the ability to CC a team member when sending emails from a template. Currently, I haven’t found a way to do this within the system, and it would be extremely helpful for keeping my team in the loop, especially during tax season. One feature I currently don’t use is the invoicing tool, mainly because my entire team has access to it. I prefer to keep billing and client charging more restricted, and at the moment, there’s no way to limit access or visibility within that section. Having more permission controls would make it easier for me to fully adopt this feature.

### "My experience with Tax Dome"

October 30, 2025

5.0

Great. Love it. I t really helps us to keep track of work much much better. I love the time tracking feature for bookkeeping, and being able to leave notes with each job helps us to be able to go back and find out what happened with each job easily.

Pros

the pipelines (including tasks and jobs) i was using an Excel spreadsheet prior, and I love working with Excel, but it just wasn't what I needed. I had tried to make my own database in Access to keep the jobs in order but just didn't have the time to create what I wanted. TD solved the problem. And there were other programs we looked at, but TD covered the majority of our needs. Everyone in the company could make good use of it in whatever job they had to do.

Cons

My boss really wants to be able to pass on the credit card fees to the client. I think other programs already offered that. But since TD had this in the works to be able to do soon, we went with TD.

### "TaxDome for Sole Prop"

February 6, 2026

4.0

Overall TaxDome has been great. I do look forward to the ability to pass thru credit card fees to clients. I also look forward to additional features as they seem to be regularly adding helpful features.

Pros

TaxDome does document storage right. They also make tracking projects easy and sending invoices. I enjoy how easy it is to set up a new client too. I also appreciate the KBA signatures ability.

Cons

TaxDome’s pdf editor doesn’t compare to Adobe. It’s good - but not good enough for basic tax preparation needs. I initially purchased the plan with hopes I could avoid an AdobePDF subscription, but ended up needing Adobe.

### "Lucerna Financial Solutions TaxDome Review"

January 21, 2026

5.0

Overall it's been a great experience and has been essential to help my business grow, especially after implementing workflows.

Pros

That everything is in one place from billing, to engagement letters, client document collection and organizers. It keeps everything streamlined for my staff and my clients.

Cons

Creating meaningful reports can be a challenge. I'd like to be able to determine if I'm generating a profit after paying my contractors, but given that I bill in a variety of ways it's been difficult to create a report that properly tracks my billing and staff hours.
