It's easy to use, great for tracking project status, and it's nice to be able to link emails to specific projects for collaboration.

I wish they would focus on making the project management portion perfect before adding new features like invoicing and proposals.

Now, everything is in one place—projects, recurring tasks, and client communications—so nothing falls through the cracks. What I love most is how easy it is to set up and use. The recurring workflows save me hours every month, and the dashboard makes it simple to see exactly what needs to get done. I also appreciate how client information, documents, and notes are stored in one place, which cuts down on back-and-forth and keeps my team on the same page. The support team is excellent, too. They’re quick to respond and genuinely listen to feedback, constantly improving the platform. ### "Great Task/Time tracking for your money"

Overall, has been much better for us than any of the other software programs we have tried for task management and time tracking. We do not currently use the billing side but everything looks pretty easy, and hopefully someday they'll have a real app that works as good as the website.

Pros

is very easy to use, everyone in our firm was able to figure out what they need. The reporting contains everything we need and is easy to access. The templates are great, and its also very easy to customize whatever we need. The different pipeline views are helpful as we can each customize it to what works best for us so nothing slips thru the cracks. The time tracking ability to have multiple timers that you can switch between and add notes as you're working is also very helpful. The client task reminders and upload portal are great and intuitive for our clients.

Cons

Using on a mobile device is not nearly as nice as using it on a computer. Accessing client uploads is not intuitive on our end, and the client chat does not always notify us or the client, especially if a project is already closed.

Overall I like very much and am very happy plus love the idea that I can grow with this app.

Pros

It's the best practice management app for my needs since it focuses on workflows and is flexible and easy to use to stay on track and on top of deadlines. It helps me get the needed info from my clients as well in a way that is convenient for everyone. Customer support is very good too and they are always working on improving the app.

Cons

My only concern is that it has now become a very robust application and with all the bells and whistles that also makes it more complicated. I do not use all the features, but that said, the help files are good so I can usually find what I need on my own if I am expanding to use a new feature that I'm unfamiliar with.

As a solo bookkeeper running Limitless Bookkeeping LLC, I switched from HoneyBook’s frustrating workarounds to , and it’s been a great choice (9.5/10). The client portal is simple and secure, letting clients upload payroll files without needing a login, which saves me hours. The QuickBooks Online integration works perfectly, syncing invoices and data smoothly for my bookkeeping and payroll tasks. File management is excellent, with organized folders that make collecting and storing monthly reports a breeze. Financial Cents is much better than HoneyBook or QuickBooks for client management, and I recommend it to any bookkeeper, solo or larger firms. It’s still improving, but their US-based support is responsive. I’ll keep using it as my business grows!

Pros

The portal’s ease of use, reliable QBO integration, and SOC 2 Type II security give me confidence in protecting client data. After upgrading my plan, it’s still affordable and ready for when I hire help.

Cons

Adjusting timesheets for hourly tasks is a hassle unless I create a project first, which feels unnecessary for quick jobs. I also wish I could see when clients view invoices, like in QuickBooks.

Being able to add and automate our Proposal & Contract process here as well as time-tracking staff time, invoicing and managing Client profitability all in one place is amazing!

has so much functionality to be an all-in-one practice management software for our Client Accounting Services company. Also the collaboration between members is amazing! Sharing workflow templates is fantastic!

Pros

gives us peace of mind with strong security for sharing and requesting documents from clients, while offering great value for money. Their customer support is responsive and helpful, and the platform makes project collaboration super easy being possible to easily assign task and projects and automate certain steps on the workflow. Document management and payment processing are easy to handle, the possibility of sending proposals and engagelment letters with great flexibility made us cancel our ignition subscription which was no longer needed. The templates took us a while to set up but now they save us a lot of time. Data import and custom forms also work but could be improved.

Cons

The transition from Trello boards and spreadsheet to FC had to be made manually and that was a cosiderable investment of time in setting everything up, once done it was worth it though.

Overall, I think is a great piece of software to help small businesses manage clients, workflow, team work and gave clarity over where work was up to.

Pros

Loved the inbox feature, I think this would have helped with productivity. I loved how the clients were set up and connected and how the jobs against clients gave clarity over the workflow

Cost. It was just too expensive for a small practice. There really wasn’t anything else I didn’t like

Easy to navigate and learn, a lot of potential with workflows that I'll tap into more and more as I use it.

I like the simplicity of getting started with it combined with having the core features all firms need in a CRM/Practice management (billing, proposals, client information, and projects).

Cons

Some key features are little lack luster. I.e. billing options when creating proposals are limited. The most notable one missing for the proposals is to auto-bill on project(s) completion. The integration with adobe sign doesn't allow clients to download a copy of what they signed.

Financial-Cents has been a game changer for our firm. It helps our team stay organized and makes it easy to stay on top of all the work we need to do. We’ve set it up so that each project has clear, step-by-step workflows, which makes everything much easier to follow. One of my favorite features is the automation. We can automatically send updates to clients when certain steps of a project are complete, which saves us time and keeps clients in the loop. The client tasks feature is also fantastic. Our clients get a clear checklist of what we need from them, with built-in reminders. For recurring requests each month, we’ve automated those too. Our clients love how smooth and straightforward the process feels. The chat feature works beautifully for client communication, and I really appreciate the customization options that allow us to tailor the system to fit our firm’s needs. On top of that, the team behind Financial-Cents genuinely listens to their users. They’re constantly adding new features and improvements based on feedback. Their monthly “feature recap” meetings are amazing as well because they share updates and also take the time to answer questions and hear our opinions live. Overall, Financial-Cents has improved our organization, client communication, and workflow efficiency tremendously. I would highly recommend it to any firm looking for smoother processes and stronger client relationships.

File storage - you cannot open files in native apps (Excel, Adobe) without downloading them first. They are continually making improvements so I'm hoping they'll add this feature soon!

Although the constant changes make it challenging to fully embrace the product, it remains user-friendly and is on the right track to potentially become the most valuable software out there for managing the volume and pressure of tax season.

Pros

It is a fantastic workflow tracking software. It has been a game-changer for us. It is easy to leave notes and to keep an eye on the progress of projects because the whole team can see the status at any time. It has upped our efficiency, keeps us on track, and helps us keep key information (e.g., sending a paper vs digital return, text rather than call preferences, etc.) that is unique to each client visible, so we can best serve our clients.

Cons

Support is a challenge. More often than not, the people on the live chat are unsure of the answers and frequently need to escalate issues to the design team and other relevant teams to find solutions. The ever-changing updates make the software feel underdeveloped, and that we are just one giant beta test for a company that does not provide a ready-made product. It was especially disruptive to have updates that disrupted the regular flow in the middle of tax season. It would be beneficial to slow down the constant changes, allowing people to feel they've mastered the program and can use it easily.

Initial setup was easy. I like that there are videos to show you step-by-step how to do certain tasks. I like that there are tips and tricks offered every so often!

Pros

This application is certainly geared towards bookkeepers & accountants. Each component in this application has been thoroughly thought out to best suit the intricate needs of a day-today, month-to month tasks. The capability to effortlessly send clients requests to supplying client with reports at the client of a button, is worth its weight in gold. My clients like that the application has superb security measures in place. Clients also like the idea of not having to physically bring documents to me, or have multiple phones from me when I need information. I have utilized several apps, plus email & text to run my bookkeeping business. Although those tools worked, has EVERYTHING you need in ONE application.

Cons

I have used FC for a while. I cannot think of anything that I dislike at this time.

Now, every team member can see their tasks, track progress, and manage client work efficiently. Everything—emails, notes, files—is centralized under each client, which saves us a ton of time and back-and-forth. I especially appreciate the visibility into our month-end close process and review statuses. As the firm owner, I no longer feel like I have to juggle everything—my team can collaborate, leave notes, and request help in real time. The customer service and training are great, too! Overall, has streamlined our operations and improved team accountability. My only regret is not making the switch sooner.

We’re a small accounting firm of five, and after trying several project management tools, we found to be a game-changer. Unlike generic platforms, it’s clearly designed with accountants in mind. The way projects are structured mirrors our actual workflow, which made onboarding fast and intuitive.

Superb! I can't think of a better workflow product for both bookkeepers and accountants. Highly recommend FC.

Pros

I have been providing bookkeeping services for 28 years and always struggled with how to manage workflows and deadlines. FC is just the application I have been looking for! With managing client info, workflows, having deadlines show up in my calendar and the tags, I know just where I am with each client. Plus there is a timer so I don't leave money on the table doing hourly work. Love it and highly recommend to bookkeepers and accountants.

Cons

I can't think of any downsides. Tech support is great and they are always adding new features. They request feedback from users constantly.

The team at FC are just stellar. They listen and care about their customers. They make changes that are requested, they provide a roadmap. I haven't seen another software firm come close. I'm thrilled to have this level of access and customer support given I'm a boutique firm.

Pros

FC keeps me organized, removes the document request and collection headaches, and lets me do what I do best. I love collaborating with my team through the app instead of endless emails. My clients love the easy and secure login process.

Cons

It's not cheap, but it IS absolutely worth the investment. The payback in your time and sanity is 10x.

On top of that, their customer service is excellent, responsive and genuinely supportive, which makes using the platform an even better experience. This software has truly changed my business and provided me with a sense of ease knowing I am meeting deadlines.

Cons

Some clients find it challenging to access and sign the documents I require, which can slow things down. I also wish there was a way to group workflow projects together for easier prioritization. In addition, it would be helpful to have an option to close or archive a project without completing every task, so I can track when a client hasn’t followed through while still keeping a record to refer back to later.

### "Our Best Kept Secret"

I hesitate to type this review as it is our best kept secret for managing our clients and our internal systems. This program has transcended our business model. I've used two other CRM, Project management tools as my business grew and I am happy to say this is the one that will stay the course and grow with us. The ease of use and community is far above so many others. The templates, employee timesheets, internal reports, and project management are the best I've seen and used. If you are looking for a well rounded CRM and Project management system that is affordable and will grow with you....I highly recommend this program.

Pros

Document management both internal and externally received. Project management of our clients. Secure interface and sharing capabilities. Ease of use. Customer service and support is amazing. Continual advancement.

Cons

While the system will work on your phone, it would be great to have an app that is specific to the program

has become an indispensable part of my business, and I can’t imagine running my firm without it.

Pros

What really sets it apart for me is how it saves time while keeping my entire team accountable and clients informed. Instead of juggling multiple systems, I can rely on one tool to streamline operations and bring peace of mind to both myself and my clients.

Cons

The library of templates are not useful for my firm. Many of my clients are simple and the templates had way more projects and tasks than needed. I ended up building my projects from scratch.

Pros

allows us as a firm to be more organized. We can take more time to actually help clients, instead of having to worry about running everything. With the integrations that are possible with Financial Cents, we are able to keep everything moving forward. It is very easy for projects to switch between team members if something were to happen. If a team member is sick, another team member can still offer the clients a good client experience because of the team/client task keeping everyone in order.

Cons

As a firm, we are looking into offering more bilingual services. This causes an issue with because the client portal isn't able to be set to a different language. This will complicate the client experience for Spanish speakers. We have talked to the customer service department, and it looks like this service is already in the roadmap for the future.

Cons

What I dislike about is that some features, like reporting and customization options, can feel limited compared to larger practice management tools, and occasional syncing delays can slow down workflow updates.
