It helps our team stay organized and makes it easy to stay on top of all the work we need to do. We’ve set it up so that each project has clear, step-by-step workflows, which makes everything much easier to follow. One of my favorite features is the automation. We can automatically send updates to clients when certain steps of a project are complete, which saves us time and keeps clients in the loop. The client tasks feature is also fantastic. Our clients get a clear checklist of what we need from them, with built-in reminders. For recurring requests each month, we’ve automated those too. Our clients love how smooth and straightforward the process feels. The chat feature works beautifully for client communication, and I really appreciate the customization options that allow us to tailor the system to fit our firm’s needs. On top of that, the team behind Financial-Cents genuinely listens to their users. They’re constantly adding new features and improvements based on feedback. It's user friendly with a clean layout, detailed yet easy to understand help section and a support team that is quick to respond and pleasant to interact with when there are times when issues arise. Pros There are many things I love about Financial Cents. Client communication is seamless, automated task reminders are easy to set, invoicing features all in one portal for my clients, secure document storage and requests. I also love how Financial Cents collaborates with their own clients (us bookkeepers and accountants) in regards to feedback and new features. They regularly update their roadmap and inquire when new features are being considered so they can build the best product for their audience. Cons There are a few features I wish FC had that other platforms do- namely, it's lacking comprehensive month-end closing features (such as what is found in Keeper) and the invoicing is great, however lacks progress billing and payment plans. It also only integrates with QuickBooks Online for their ReCats feature which means for clients using other accounting software such as Xero, additional tech is needed to perform the same task increasing overhead costs. My overall experience has been positive. Pros Financial Cents is super easy to use, there is not a huge learning curve with implementing or creating workflows. I get weekly reports of my progress and this I might need to address. My clients love the client portal, they are able to see all correspondence and billing in one place. The customer support is wonderful the the AI chat support is pretty spot on and helpful as well. Even as a solo user upgrading to the Scale Plan has already paid for itself with the features that help me save time. Great tutorials as well. Oh I love the email integration in scale it allows me to view emails from each client and it's connected to the client file, Very helpful. Cons I wish it fully integrated with OneDrive, I'm not crazy about Zapier integrations I also wish that I could segment which of my email addresses pulled from Outlook into FC. The platform makes client management and project tracking much smoother, and it’s been a great fit for our team. That said, I do wish the task management system was a bit more robust. It gets the job done, but some additional flexibility and features would really elevate it. Another area that would add a lot of value is having a dedicated space to store internal firm documents, like SOPs and reference materials, so everything could live in one place rather than across multiple tools. Overall, it’s a solid product that has already made a positive impact on our operations, and with a few enhancements, it could be even more powerful. I love the time tracking feature as well so I can see my profitability for each month or for each client. I love the ability to request documents or send questions for transactions & receive a email that it was resolved. Cons I wish there was quality assurance feature. I also appreciate that it allows direct interaction with clients within the platform. Overall, it’s a complete package that’s perfect for small-sized accounting firms. Cons The only thing I don’t like about Financial Cents is its file storage feature. Currently, Excel files aren’t supported on the platform, so you can’t open them directly after uploading. I’m hoping they’ll improve this feature soon.
