ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST Environmental Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "GRAPHS LIKE NONE" July 16, 2019 4.0 From my perspective, NCSS offers a primary option for data analysis even though more "powerful" programs exist on the market. The possibility of obtaining different results in the same analysis, such as the assumptions in an ANOVA, is very useful and avoid performing different routines. In my experience it is a great software Pros The software is very intuitive, the handling of the data is very simple from Excel or another program. The range of graphics is magnificent, I love it! Once you learn to use it, the options for analysis and graphics is very broad. The possibility of saving your results for a later review is unique. The visual power of graphics is now well known and NCSS offers great advantages over the competition Cons Probably the only inconvenient is the price unless you have an educational license (as in my case). Pros Our team is able to handle statistical experiments and correlate results with time series forecasting methods more easily than other packages. The library within NCSS is second to none. Factor analysis results are easily interpreted thanks to NCSS. It has definitely increased our potential. How many have been rejected and does time play a role in that rejection. I also looked at improving the efficiency based on collected data on cycle time. Pros It is very helpful in visualizing your data. It is easier to present to students and professors your findings. Visual data is easy to digest and understand. Cons Not a lot of people know this software. It is important it self learn and understand. April 20, 2021 2.0 Pros Op het eerste gezicht lijkt alles er mooi en netjes uit te zien, met enorm veel mogelijkheden. Cons De menustruktuur is een waanzinnige spaghetti! Honderden opties kriskras door mekaar en blijkbaar dubbel of driedubbel in verschillende menutakken, en het simpele dingetje dat ik wilde doen, een machtsregressie, gaf gewoon foute resultaten. Invoer van meetfouten heb ik niet kunnen vinden. Ik heb het opgegeven na een uur zoeken. Ik ga dit in geen geval kopen. Alternatives considered [GraphPad Prism](https://www.capterra.com/p/119786/GraphPad-Prism/) Reason for choosing NCSS software NIET gekocht. GraphPad Prism is veel beter. I was able to deploy different time series methods for forecasting which are not available with other software. Cons Plotting and data imports are tedious in nature, also data exports to the Microsoft Excel are not straight-forward to do like how it is done in an open source software.
