Pros It is easy to set this website up and customize with the templates given. There are some good options for a basic website. You really don't have to have any experience. Cons I feel like there could be more customization. I feel locked into a certain look that I don't always want. It is often hard to navigate and the interface seems limited. The podcast manager was pretty good as well. Cons I could not stand that the website customization consisted of logo and color. We want a website that is personalized for us. This just made life more frustrating trying to add media and other items. Finally we just got tired of staying in the box, and our pastor asked for something better. Something that allowed us to move in any direction at a given moment, and considering the COVID-19 outbreak we moved to video and that would have been a headache with Clover Sites. Pros Clover Sites is great for people who have a little bit of graphic design capabilities and very little web coding skills. With the visual user interface, you can see what your page will look like as you build, so getting a great looking product isn't guess work. Pros It was very easy to start using this software for our business website needs. It's also very easy to make quick changes when needed. We like their predesigned templates, which feel current and fresh. Their customer support is helpful and responsive. Pros We consistently get good feedback about the appearance of the website. It looks really good. It is easy to customize and easy to train others on it. I like the intuitive nature of the layout, pretty much explains itself. Cons We struggled for a little while with using some registration forms on it, but it got figured out. I've helped implement 2 church sites, one other para-church non-profit, and 2 homeowner's association sites. Pros If you can use Microsoft Word, you can use Clover. It is user friendly and versatile. The Clover team continues to review and update their product. They listen to their users. Cons Fonts were a bit limited but not a deal breaker at all. The "greenhouse" website builder was average compared to other website builders. It often broke or editing features didnt work. The company kept raising prices year after year even though we complained. Eventually we cut our losses and moved our site to a different company. Pros The site did look nice when is worked. Moderately easy to set up. Cons The pricing is absurd. The up front cost is a joke compared to industry standards. They trick churches into thinking they get some special "Christian" website builder but they dont offer any unique benefits that you cant get at almost any website builder. We had a problem with the IP side of things that was a bit fidgety to get corrected on the Clover side, but even that was a piece of cake compared to the GoDaddy side which was a mess. Pros Good, attractive base templates and a UI that makes it easy to create a very nice looking website quickly. Cons Like all web design systems of this type, it is difficult to stray too far from the template you have selected.
