Pros

The ease of the software, the number of options available to stream, and the customer support. The support team is understanding, and helpful.

Cons

They could increase the bandwidth usage for All in One packages. But this is not a huge concern.

Easy to setup and integrate. Streams Facebook and YouTube very well

Cons

Sometimes the real-time view is a bit different from the Livestream. The preview screen is black while YT and FB are showing the live view. I know there is a 7 second delay from OBS to Castr then to FB & YT. I just refresh the browser and it's good. Not a major issue. Could be my PC

We are very happy thus far with the overall package and although there is an outstanding issue logged, we don't think the problem lies with Castr.

Pros

If you understand how streaming works and the technologies invloved, Castr is easy to implement and confugure.

Cons

Active monitoring of the stream would be nice. When i say monitoring i mean, monitoring the data packets, stream quality, any break in stream etc...

We read some of the user comments and our tests were all successful.

### "Great livestream service at a great price, with great support"

Great ecperince using Castr to livestream to multiple locations at once - including Facebook and Youtube.

Pros

I love that Castr is low-cost, but does exactly what it is supposed to do for us. It takes our livestream from OBS software and rebroadcasts the content to both youtube and facebook. Very simple to use and just gets the job done. Very little issues and when I have questions, the support has been great.

Cons

Like any service of this type, the setup takes some figuring out. But they walk you through it so it is not too bad.

Good. But when it breaks, it breaks bad!

Pros

You can stream to multiple platforms at once.

Cons

Can't stream to Twitter easily. Facebook often breaks or cuts off and you have to start again.

This software works very well within our church production workflow. The recordings, make it easy to go back and get it extracted segments for social media or other sites. ### "One Livestream to Multiple Platforms Solved"

We were able to increase our livestream audience by about 25-30% just by being able to make Facebook an option for viewing, along with our Website and Youtube.

Pros

We needed a product allowing us to livestream to multiple platforms and Castr does the job. It's stable, reliable and once set up, we just need to update the livestream keys from the platforms we want to use when necessary.

Cons

Sometimes when the layout is changed it isn't always intuitive where to find the features you are used to seeing.

It has been pleasant. We manage a Facebook Page and a YouTube Page and have found Castr quite convenient in reaching both pages with ease. I would recommend for anyone who does not have as much bandwidth but would like to reach out to a wider audience.

Pros

One of the reasons Castr is well-used is its ease. It is easy to set up and forget. I appreciated that.

Cons

Though it is relatively cheap, I feel it could be slightly cheaper for a very basic user.

### "Easy way to Live Stream to Multiple domains"

Castr fits our model of streaming to Facebook and Youtube simultaneously very well. We have limited bandwidth upstream, and Castr solved a critical issue for us.

Pros

We enjoy the ease of sending one stream to castr and them seamlessly streaming out to multiple platforms.

Cons

We wish the streaming options were more varied. Less focus on gaming platforms and more on large social platforms and personal websites.

We started using them when they were pretty much brand new and have never had a problem. They have good customer service and the product is stable.

Pros

Castr makes it easy to stream to two different services. Not complicated at all.

Cons

The interface can sometimes be a little clunky but not too hard to figure out.

Pros

We needed a platform to stream live content to multiple platforms (Facebook Live, YouTube, video player embedded into website). We also needed it to be economical and simple to use. Castr was the best fit of all of the platforms we looked at. We've been very happy with it!

Because of how we use live streaming, the features offered by Castr are sufficient for us.

Amazing experiences, high quality customer service reps.

Pros

From the first time we used Castr.io the program has done exactly what we needed for a very very reasonable price. Love the price and even better than cost is customer support. EVERYTIME we have had a question, they have replied nearly instantaneously no matter what time it was!!!!

This software does exactly what we need, there really are no least likes.

Ease of use with multiple destinations. Great stream analytics. Very good price per TB of bandwidth used.

Lack of preview for the embeddable Castr player. Once you start streaming to Castr, the stream is immediately available on the player.

When we first began streaming back during Covid I had no idea what I was doing. I did my research and chose Castr and haven't looked back. I've been using Castr for 3 years now and can honestly say I've never experienced any problems. It works well, everytime.

Its easy to use and does what its supposed to do.

Honestly, for what we use it for, I've never experienced any issues that I can think of.

### "Castr for streaming Worship Services"

With Castr we are able to steam Worship Services consistently to Facebook and YouTube without difficulties. Castr provides the streaming capability and we just need to send the video feed to Castr. Being in Hawaii it can be difficult finding a good streaming server. However we have had no problems with the Castr LA server.

Pros

Castr is easy to setup multiple streams. We use OBS as are method to stream and it is nice to be able to start the stream and connect to Castr before we stream to social media.

Cons

At this moment we have had no problems with Castr. Any problems we have had has been due to our Internet connection or the social media sites themselves. Castr has been solid. It has many features that other sites charge a lot more money to provide.

Pros

The ability to have an uploaded pre-recorded video scheduled to stream live with just 3 mins notice is really useful for failsafe option. Internet gremlins can always get in the way during a live event, so I find this quick scheduling option to be really useful and the main reason I stuck to Castr and not their competition. They also offer 24 hour cloud recording & a mobile app which their competitors don't either. Cloud recording is another really useful failsafe in case your recordings locally didn't happen. Mobile app lets you use your mobile camera to stream which is really useful.

Cons

Shame that they only allow 1 uploaded video at a time seems rather stingy when 2 would be really useful and not lose them much business for small time streamers. They don't offer their Embed on website script as part of the lower packages which seems a shame when their competitors do and don't see why that would harm them to offer this in lower packages. Less than 3 mins schedulng would be even better!

Restream have a 10 min delay for scheduling videos which for a failsafe is far too much time. They don't offer cloud recording or mobile streaming. Find their product offerings confusing and not competitive. You need 2 different packages for scheduling and live streaming.

Before I give my review, if I could give one solid piece of advice, it's STAY AWAY FROM CASTR.IO Their customer service, while friendly, lack knowledge and typically beat around the bushes when answering your questions. And if they do know the direct answer, it's usually a disappointment. The scheduler is many times choppy when streaming videos from it, and you can only have ONE scheduler. YES ONE SCHEDULER. That's so crazy that no matter what package you have, you get ONE. And they mislead you to believe higher packages have more. On top of this, I've had plenty of issues with a stream stopping in the middle and having to restart it over completely from the beginning because they have no method to skip through videos that you upload to their schedulers. The idea and concept of their service is fantastic, their actual service is terrible. Save yourself some trouble and go get service that actually works consistently the way you need it to. I expect castr.io to lose more and more as people realize how featureless they actually are with all the bugs in their system.

Pros

\- Great ideas and good concept of features - Prices seem to be fairly good - Customer service was friendly and quick to return questions

Cons

\- Streaming was choppy when using the scheduler - Only able to schedule one at a time - Customer service lacked training and/or knowledge of product - Many bugs when uploading to scheduler - No playback menu to skim through media if things failed on their end to continue where you left off on your broadcast

Reason for choosing Castr

At the time I thought that the price and features in comparison to others was a better deal, but I soon found out that was incorrect.
