They get their money very quickly and I have never had an issue with it. The rates for the sender and receiver are decent too. Pros Having to pay contract labor overseas, such as India, Australia, etc, Payoneer makes it easy and reliable to send secure payments. Their system seems very safe and secure and I have had no problems over the past 4 years or so using it. Cons It can be a bit of a pain to initially set up the payor, as you need their bank account details, and, sometimes it doesn't accept your credit card, but overall it usually works great. They demanded proof of income and address; I submitted everything, only to have them unfreeze it three weeks later and immediately close it for alleged 'T&C Violations.' I strictly used the account for work payments and regular shopping, taking great care to comply with rules for nearly a decade. Being locked out of my funds for almost a month is something I'd expect from a 'banana bank,' not a self-proclaimed 'fintech leader.' Stay away and find a more serious financial services provider. Agents sound like chatbots focused on closing tickets rather than solving problems, often disappearing after sending a response. Getting through to a live agent is a nightmare; I once waited six hours just to move up in the queue. Additionally, fees are significantly higher than competitors. September 30, 2021 5.0 Payoneer is a great platform for receiving payments from clients around the world. It's fast, reliable and very easy to use. You can get paid in many different currencies at a really fair service fee, and you have the option to use the money with a Mastercard prepaid card or by withdrawing it to your local account, which normally takes one or two days to deposit it. It's a great option with a great price for what is offered! Pros Payoneer is the best alternative to receive payments in different currencies from clients around the world. As a freelancer or digital service provider you may deal with clients in many countries, and getting paid can be difficult and, specially, expensive. Not with Payoneer! They usually charge 1% from USD payments or even zero for EUR and GBP payments. Also, when you withdraw the money to your local account, you will usually pay a fee of only 2% on the mid-market foreign exchange fee and get it deposited in one or two days at the latest (I receive it in my Brazilian account, for reference). If you compare this to the industry most-famous player (PayPal), they charge like 6.5% when you get paid plus 3.5% on the foreign exchange fee. Plus, Payoneer offers a Mastercard prepaid card, so you can also use the money directly with the card, without having to withdraw it (although it will cost 3.5% on the foreign exchange fee, instead of 2%). Overall, it's a great and quite reliable platform! I've been using their services for around 5 years and never had a problem. Cons Unfortunately, their Mastercard prepaid card doesn't work with Samsung Pay or Google Pay (at least not until now, September 2021), so you can't leave it at home and make your payments with an NFC device like your phone or smartwatch. Also, they still charge a fee of USD 29.00 per year for using this card. It made sense years ago, but with a higher competition and other platforms starting to offer similar services, this fee could be reduced or even eliminated based on your usage habits. Cons The client support has been frustrating, providing no real solutions and consistently responding with emails asking me to wait for 1-3 business days. On October 8, I unintentionally received a payment from a personal bank account (since Payoneer restricts payments only to business bank accounts). Payoneer informed me that the incoming payment couldn't be processed, and the funds would be returned to the initiator within 7-10 business days. As of November 22, the initiator had not received the refunded money. Concerned about the safety of my funds, I reached out to Payoneer's client support for information on the return process. Despite my expectations of a resolution, I only received emails advising me to wait an additional 1-3 business days for updates on my ticket. Some responses mentioned a "pending" status, with promises to contact the finance team to expedite the refund. However, no progress was made. Now, on December 20, after two and a half months of regular support requests, I still don't have any clarity. The only consistent response I've received is to wait for 1-3 business days. I remain uncertain about why Payoneer is holding my funds for such an extended period, and I still have no timeline for the funds to be returned to the initiator. Review Source jorge T. With the help of Payoneer, I've been able to multiply my freelance earning 5x because PayPal is not available in my country so I was not able to take most of the international clients and tasks. Then I found Payoneer, it's well know and almost providing their services worldwide. Moreover, I use Payoneer to receive payments from Odesk, Fiverr and PPH with just a single click :) Now that Payoneer has collaborated with our local telecom service, Jazz, it has made my life even much easier, now I don't have to visit ATM everytime, I easily withdraw money from Payoneer to my JazzCash account and use it wherever I want.
