March 29, 2018 5.0 Pros Excellent customer support, my computer was hacked and someone accessed my payoneer and transferred funds to their account, I was frustrated, contacted the support they assured me they will manage to refund the payment, after several verification process after few weeks funds were restored, thank you!! As a freelance worker in a third world country I can't count the amount of times I had to ask for someone to help me with it. With Payoneer it's as simple as a 3 step process. Cons I think that the only problem with Payoneer (and it's a general consensus) is the customer service. If something happens to your account you might have a tough time figuring it out with Payoneer. Heads up! Cons It's security is great but can be annoying at times because I'm usually made to sign in again when i use it on the web, I find it's user interface a bit outdated and could do with some aesthetic innovations. October 21, 2021 1.0 After working with them for more than a decade and sending very large sums of money through their systems, they decided they needed to verify my company information for us to continue to use them. Fine, that took more than a week to do, and while verification was happening the "pay" button mysteriously disappeared from my account, and now after another week that has still not been resolved. I ultimately ended up creating an account with Western Union, and was able to send the money I needed to send, for less fees in about 8 hours. (including all the verification needed for an account sending money for the first time). Pros When it works, it's fairly simple and straight forward to use. Cons When it doesn't work, getting support is absolutely impossible. The don't read context, or even seem to understand the problem. Trying to get support from Payoneer is a Kafkaesque experience that will take weeks and might never go anywhere. Reason for choosing Payoneer I fell into Payoneer and used them for years because I never needed to access support, so didn't know how bad it was. It offers a MasterCard that we can swap on any ATM that supports MasterCard which allows us to spend Payoneer's balance without withdrawing to our local bank account. Pros The best thing that I like about Payoneer is easy to use and has the fastest transaction speed. We can accept payment from different vendors and affiliate partners in a matter of seconds. It also supports Payoneer to local bank transfers with a competitive exchange rate. It also seems more and more people are starting to use Payoneer which should be good for everyone involved. Pros I originally started using Payoneer because a client used it for all of its payments to different service providers. For freelancers, it can be very beneficial to have a variety of options to receive payments from. I could not recommend a single payment service to any freelancer for this reason, the best option is to accept payments from all services that are not troublesome, and for me using Payoneer has never brought problems. The maintenance fee (which means no transfer fee) is reasonable and the payments are usually processed within 24 hours Cons The customer service from Payoneer is helpful but their office hours are somewhat restricted, which can lead to some anxiety on your first uses, if you don't plan ahead to send or receive your payment with a little buffer time Review Source Adnan Z. It was an excellent replacement for Fiverr freelancing especially because it had lower transaction fees. Cons The only downside I found was the duration of the transactions which was around 2 days compared to PayPal which would transfer within 1 day. They tend to have to escalate things a lot and that means a longer waiting time for me to get my issues resolved.
