"BestStart Review of GapMaps"
Overall: GapMaps have been very supportive in providing solutions and ideas that could assist us to use the software in more beneficial ways. Only a phone call away, if I need assistants there is someone prepared to help.
Pros: I like that the system is easy to use and assists our New Development team in making informed decisions about our Business growth opportunities. We can easily plot our Childcare Centres and competitors throughout New Zealand and get a great understanding of the demographics surrounding them.
Cons: The system is primarily reliant on statistical data of which NZ has had problems with, this has meant that the data available is relatively out dated.

"The only tool you need"
Overall: A pleasure to use a software that is rich with multiple layers of data allowing one to quickly ascertain all aspects of a site. There is no Gap Analysis tool better on the market.
Pros: The ability to very quickly identify gaps in the market when assessing development opportunities.
Cons: That you cannot select all when choosing categories of businesses. Traffic data would be super helpful also which is not very comprehensive however is essential to get deeper richer data when assessing potential development sites.

Overall: Really pleased with the ease of use of the software and speed with which any issues or queries are resolved.
Pros: GapMaps is intuitive with a logical flow and visually appealing. No need to read a manual ! Service levels are very high with issues resolved quickly and a responsive Account Manager.
Cons: Occasionally takes a bit longer to process large changes software itself. Times-out with inactivity meaning I need to log back in.

Overall: GapMaps was initially being considered as our solution to assist our school authorities in planning their way to build new schools. We ended up not only saving time and thousands of dollars to keep people informed and justified where to build a school to fill the needs, but also managed to use it for another purpose showing school authorities where their existing students located as well to lessen our burden creating this for them one after another because the other tool we used has a limited scalability with its cost.
Pros: Working with GapMaps team has been a wonderful experience and give you the confidence that the already great tool keeps improving from time to time as the team is dynamic, knowledgeable, approachable and open minded.
Cons: It's probably because I'm not good enough at working with the tool but I don't seem to find a way to build a profile based on an existing profile so we can efficiently build new profiles based on existing ones.

Pros: Ability to adapt quickly to enable new layers to be added that drive immediate outcomes for projects. Exceptional customer service that has partnered with us on numerous occasions to enhance datasets and provide information quickly.

"Makes it easy to visualise data"
Overall: GapMaps helps us to visualise complex customer sales data and allows us to easily identify opportunities. The support team has been fantastic in helping us scope and then build exactly what we needed and is always open to feedback
Pros: - The ability to maintain a live map of our current sites - Ability to scrape census data and combine with our own customer sales data to produce a visual heat map of our 'hot spots' - The support team is FANTASTIC! They are continuously exceeding expectations and delivering over and above!
Cons: - Some limitations with data scraping (but I understand improvements are in scope) - Occasionally it refreshes and you lose your current view
