### "Fast and efficient time series database"

September 10, 2024

5.0

However, the initial setup and learning the ins and outs of the system can be a bit challenging, but it’s definitely worth it once you’re up and running.

Pros

I really like how fast and efficient InfluxDB is for handling time-series data. It’s perfect for tracking metrics and events, and querying the data feels quick and easy.

Cons

The only thing that bothers me is the steep learning curve. It takes some time to get used to the query language and set up everything properly.

Pros

I quickly set up a dashboard to monitor server metrics and got real-time insights.

Cons

I struggled to find clear instructions on setting up advanced queries.

### "InfluxDB - Review from an educational point of view"

September 1, 2023

4.0

Good as a Time Series database. Ideal to teach students the link between programming, database and visualisations.

Pros

InfluxDB 2.0 is easy in use and understandable for students. Influx is making it possible to store all the data of sensors, energy systems,... easily from software (Python, Node-Red) to visualisation. It is also possible to make visualisations in Influx, but we are using Influx mainly as Timeseries database. Very usefull when working with energy data sets that are time related.

Cons

We where struggling in the past when Influx 1.0 went to Influx 2.0. A lot of our research projects had a complete different data structure. So it was a big adjustment. But now when using 2.0. It is better and Influx database became also a lot user friendly then in the past.

Reason for choosing InfluxDB

Easy in use, structured, good Time series database.

### "Easy time series storage and analysis"

November 24, 2023

5.0

I got it to handle a lot of metrics without any issues, the integration with Grafana is nice.

Pros

The query language is nice and easy to use

Cons

I personally don't like much the ingestion API, so I resorted to use Telegraf with Statsd input.

### "Perfect for Time-Series Database! "

June 9, 2023

4.0

Docker-based implementation on EC2 has been convenient and moving DB to EKS really improved our DB replication and stability.

Pros

Scalability and High-performance are some of the outstanding features of influxdb, we did a stress test of multiple hundreds of IoT clients and scaled effortlessly.

Cons

yet another DB with its own language for implementation, text-based searching is not really well implemented and lacks data replication

### "Low-code proof of concept for IoT projects"

February 22, 2023

5.0

Pros

The ease with which you can connect data from Node red to Influx DB and visualize it with Grafana is seamless and easy to use. It is a perfect platform to create a database for IoT projects and it can handle a lot of data queries without crashing.

Cons

It takes a bit of time to get the hang of the flux queries and to convert queries to Flux.
