Pros

The flexibility and ease of use of 8x8 is a definite plus for those looking for a robust but easy to setup/maintain a hosted system. The call quality is consistently incredibly good.

Cons

I've only helped implement the system a few times and have not encountered any cons.

It has done its job. Can't say I love it but also can't dislike it. Functions well

Pros

I have not found a lot to be excited about with this product. While it does what it is supposed to, I have found it very frustrating to log in and change some of my settings (call forward etc).

Cons

Seems like every time I try to do something I need administration access. That may be on my end but it is annoying. I can't even log in via the app with out an admin key code so I do not use the app.

Overall, I'd recommend the process solely due to the great customer support. Once you get your ideal settings -- stick with them.

Pros

Easy to communicate with co-workers. Made it easy to work from home and take calls from my cell phone as opposed to desk phone.

Cons

Some hiccups with the UI and settings slow down the work process.

I would recommend them highly for businesses.

Pros

After much research we went with 8x8. Their customer support and ease of use was the deciding factor. After getting everything was imported I had 90 days of unlimited support. They helped me set up the call flows and explained all the terminology that you need to know when going digital.

Cons

We wanted to add out on music on hold. as I have different music for different lines, after much searching by both myself ans support it was determined that the system does not allow for this.

Pros

I like that it is virtual and does not require a physical phone, I also like that it works with any of the browsers I choose to use.

Cons

Pretty outdated as far as style, my software personally is very buggy, but could be related to my PC

We have been very happy with 8x8. We serve clients that use lots of other VoIP options and we get to see inside when we provide service...and what I see makes me like 8x8 even more. 8x8 has proven to be very reliable. The call quality is great and managing our settings is super simple. I have referred 8x8 to several of our customers that have also grown to love it.

Pros

Great call quality. Easy to use. Overall good value.

Cons

Can't upload your own custom voicemail greeting via the user portal. You have to send it though their customer service department, but it's usually pretty quick.

Overall my experience was very positive.

Pros

8x8 was useful for VOIP, voicemail, recording client calls, and chats with other employees. I used it as an employee of a small law firm and the chat function was especially useful to touch bases quickly.

Cons

After I started my own law firm, to keep my costs low I ended up going with other options. 8x8 is not the least expensive option for a business line, but it is a good paid option.

Pros

Before i started to use this app i haved a slow perfomance when i try to keeped in touch with my team becouse we live in diferent areas, but when we find this app, things change, now we can keep in touch all the time any moment, just like we were together. the software run on multiple plataforms so we dont have to adap to the software. The tools to integrate all the team members in one screen, i love it

Cons

the price is a little to hig for smalls bussines. Altough works in multiple plataforms, the perfomance tends to change depends on wich system you are, for example: In iOS system works great but in Android divices some times get bugged

### "Great product, awful customer service"

Pros

Relatively intuitive to use and good functionality.

Cons

When looking to upgrade our package we had huge issues, including 2 days with no phones. When trying to rectify this the customer support team were really difficult to contact and not very helpful.

Our company recently moved from an on-prem system to 8x8 as a full cloud based solution for phone services. We were able to move all our services, and port over all our numbers with no impact to our clients.

Pros

Flexibility and mobility of deployment anywhere. Single dashboard to report on usage per user or per line Compatible with our existing phones Mobile App

Cons

The PBX solution is very easy to use and convenient. The contact center while its easy to use it is managed through a web browser. This took a new learning curve for our staff to get used to and be able to properly use the system.

Pros

This software is very easy to use on my laptop of mobile phone. We collaborate a lot with international offices and 8x8 makes it really easy to call internationally from my phone or laptop. They also send voicemails directly to your email, which is a nice feature for people who work remotely.

Cons

Every once in a while it crashes and I have to restart the app. Also, sometimes it hangs when I try to shutdown my Mac so I have to force-quit to turn my laptop off.

### "Horrible Product"

It was terrible and they were more trouble then they were worth.

Pros

There was nothing I liked about this software.

Cons

Tons of issues with callers not being able to hear us but we could hear them, dropped calls, calls being forwarded to cell phones were of horrible sound quality so more often than not, we had to call the caller back directly from cell phone. The customer service is terrible. We were told that the issues we were having were with our phones and that they were too old. Replaced the phones through 8x8 only to have the same exact issue. Then told it was issue with router. Replaced the router and still had same issues. Canceling this service was an absolute nightmare! Beware! I had to escalate call to get to a supervisor to cancel- she ended up giving me her direct number and apologized for issues I was having with customer service to cancel.

It's been ok. Gets the job done. Has its issues, but not a bad platform overall.

Pros

User interface is fairly intuitive. It's really easy to use instant messaging, access voicemail, and find contacts. The instant messaging feature is probably the best tool 8x8 Virtual Office has to offer.

Cons

It's very buggy. There will be times where it says I have unread messages when my mailbox is clear. It also crashes on me a lot. These are annoying issues, but they could also be much worse.

Pros

\- The ability to fax electronically. Being able to have updates emailed in about received faxes come was helpful for my HR team and having faxes come in as .PDF's made them much more malleable with our paperless systems.

Cons

\- I have had numerous people comment on the horrible audio quality while talking over the mobile app (Android). - The limit of one account in the organization with the ability to fax was highly annoying. It limited the potential for the application in our use (Windows). - The GUI could have been organized more intuitively. It always seemed more complicated to change Forwarding settings than it needed to be to get the set up I needed (which was complex, but not the reason for the problems I was experiencing). (Windows and Android)

### "I'm a big fan of Virtual Office and here's why"

Pros

Virtual office provides so much value for my company. At first, I thought it may be out of my price range but once I started it up and tried it out, I realized it's a steal for everything they offer. Not only does the Virtual Contact Center work as a medium between the customer and whoever can get to the phones at that time, it frees up so much of the middle-man work and the cost I would be spending on someone to be a greeter can go to more lucrative programs. The Contact Center sure is valuable, but the real value comes from the Virtual meetings office software. I say this because my team does a lot of off-site work as well as hiring freelancers for shorter jobs. Being able to meet with a whole room of people in any country and time-zone is so valuable for my business!

Cons

Like I described in the top paragraph, I initially had doubts about the cost. These doubts were crushed when I saw all of the value that this product adds, however it could always be cheaper. The only other qualm I have is that it definitely seems to be more positioned to larger companies. I have a smaller business with fluctuating team sizes so Virtual Office isn't quite as agile as my team.

Used them for years and was positive. Seems like when we started having issues, we continued to have issues. They logged into our servers, etc, but nothing seemed to work. We changed from them, but they are a good reputable company.

Pros

Great features and started out very strong product for us. The features are great and I know many who use 8x8 and recommended to us. I've used to call from computer, phone, and desk phone, and nice product.

Cons

There is a big delay when using it over data. Also, there can be distorted sound while using the Virtual Office. We changed and went to landline but thinking about going back or to a similar VOIP provider.

### "Overall great software for big offices!"

Pros

8x8 was very useful in a big office where you do not know all employees extensions. You can easily call, transfer phone calls, listen to your voicemail from the software/app and even 'text' your coworkers

Cons

The design is pretty attractive and easy to use but the software encountered a lot of bug and internal issues that were very disturbing for daily users.

8x8 has made working from home much more seamless than it would otherwise have been. It's a fantastic replacement for a desk phone as it has much better features for meetings and also video calls.

Pros

Great for calls and meetings, I can be anywhere and receive calls on my office number. Ideal for mobile and home workers, all you need is a headset. Very reliable too.

Cons

Cons? I can't think of a single one! Features are great and it's easy to use.

The overall experience was poor. Sales was eager to give us a free proof of concept during the discovery phase. Their billing team eagerly started invoicing us when we were not even their customers. Sales stopped answer our questions. Support wasn't useful in resolving matters. The entire process looked chaotic. 8x8 could have had a great sales cycle and they could have had a great shot it but they blew their chances.

Pros

8x8's video conferencing system was really. Their system allowed the organizer of a video conferencing meet to see each participant's talk time, which can allow the organizer or facilitator to prompt for opinion and ask a frequent talker to give others a chance to speak. This was a unique and useful feature.

Cons

8x8's didn't have a great faxing solution for our needs. Their fax feature appeared to be bolted on to their unified platform and couldn't handle a large volume of faxes on a daily basis.

Reason for choosing 8x8 Work

We did NOT choose 8x8 due to poor experiences with their sales, billing and support. We went with RingCentral due to a polar opposite and positive experience with RingCentral. 8x8 has a good product but they need to shore up people skills and responsiveness to win more businesses.

Downside is it is a computer phone... So if your computer is down you cannot contact IT.

The experience was great, however, I would not recommend it if you spend long portions of your day on meetings or working on the field, since the equipment required to fully use this is not one you can carry in your pocket, nonetheless, it still provides lots of value to those who spend the biggest part of their day in an office.

Pros

My favorite part is the value it brings to all CRM platforms by adding a direct contact service, it allows for you to keep a more efficient workflow if you deal with customers or partners during a big portion of your day via phone.

Cons

I do not like that this platform is not mobile friendly, while working in the real estate industry you happen to deal with many customers on the field and it is hard to walk around with a computer just to have access to all the functionalities of this platform, this keeps you from being able to fulfill field work effectively.

8x8's account manager gives me the ability to easily set-up, change and perform general administrative functions for the phone system. All kinds of cool features - reporting, recording virtual faxing, ring groups etc...

Pros

Ease of changing membership of ring groups Virtual fax can route to up to 5 emails ease of conference call set-up

Cons

Skill of customer support reps. varies widely Pro bundle features cost too much for the value they add Would like to be able to record conference calls set up through conference bridge
