Pros

8x8 was referred to me by our IT person and the switch went great. The team that connected us and got everything set up was really good at everything they did. Maybe a little more training would have helped. There price is great however since I always had to reach out to my IT to work within the interface I can't say much money was saved.

Cons

This software is so extremely packed with different items to choose from and to maneuver around within the system to make any changes is definitely challenging. I wanted to simply forward to phones one weekend which should be an easy process but it involved so many steps that I had to get our IT involved which in turn cost us money of course.

I would recommend this software. The softphone is functional and integrates well whether at the office or working from home.

Pros

I enjoy the fact that the company directory lives in 8x8. I am able to type the first few letters of a colleagues name and the rest is populated for me.

Cons

The app can be somewhat buggy. There are times when the app becomes unstable and takes some time get back to functional.

7 out of 10. For the cost and ease of use it is fine.

Pros

Once you get used to the menu's it is pretty easy. Updates fast and I have had no real problems. The only problems is I have had configuration errors and that was because I wasn't looking at all the menus.

Cons

Not everything is set in the extensions. You have to look at all of the menus for user configuration. You might set a user profile but a old person is still showing up on the phone. Go check the User profiles and get the end user to reboot the phone. We have had some problems with conference phones. Getting support to update the firmware has generally fixed the issues.

Pros

Very versatile platform and features that are just perfect for a start-up or existing business. I've used the mobile app overseas without any issues and I'd highly recommend them.

Cons

sometimes (and it did happen) the phones that we've ordered failed within several months but they were replaced promptly. It's worth to invest in a better phone.

I like that it has allowed everyone in our company to be connected and is very useful with doing phone transfers.

That there aren't too many features to help manage the average office life besides connecting everyone.

My overall experience with 8x8 is not great. The phones look nice, but thats really about all.

Pros

We switched to 8x8 about 6 months ago. So far, I have not noticed anything great about it. It does what its supposed to do for the most part.

Cons

Terrible quality for seemingly no reason. Setting up a new phone is a real task when you have centers in other cities/states.

The 8x8 application is a software freezes at times and sometimes gets stuck at an awkward size where you have to close the app and restart

We switched to 8x8 almost 3 years ago and it has been an amazing solution for our ever growing company.

Cons

I honestly do not have anything negative to say about 8x8. If there was one thing I could comment on it would be the price of their phones. Some of their competitors offer the phones for free when you add an additional line.

They have plenty of options within the X series line to meet almost any requirement. Their sales staff will answer any questions you may have.

Pros

8x8 provides a complete VoIP solution that is feature reach and customizable for any business need.

Cons

8x8 support is non-existent. They never return calls and take days/weeks before they reply to open support tickets. Even then the support is very weak.

Best VOIP phone system, free e fax, call record, meeting, etc. We use this daily in our dealership where we receive 50+ inbound phone calls per day to 4 phone lines.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to install, the Customer Service reps are Great! It is priced competitively compared to most of the competition.

Cons

During the initial set up there were a few bucks during the installation that we did on a weekend. Unfortunately, there were not customer support reps to help on a Sunday. Not sure if that has changed, but when else would you install a new phone system!??

I enjoyed using this in the office and liked how it would integrate with my salesforce to have one place to use

Pros

I liked the fact that the interface is able to have it's own window, which makes it easy to see all of your text messages and phone calls, and rolodex

Cons

The one thing that bothered me was how much it crashed. I feel like a lot of times, it would crash when I needed it to work, and then I would have to sign back in. I also hated how you'd have to change your password so many times

It's pretty sad when the call center you contact for service can't get in touch with your account rep or his supervisor for over a week.

Pros

Decent service for internet calling. Web application is fairly easy to navigate unless you're looking for customer service or tech support.

Cons

Customer service/tech support department don't communicate with each other and so one doesn't know what the other is doing or has done. Sales Rep/Account Manager is very, very hard to get in touch with but that is who I am always directed to call...

Pros

I help to set this up for my partners work. I’ve had to help run it from our home to connect to workflows at the office when he is Sada lightin I help to set this up for my partners work. I actually haven’t had to access customer service at all.

Cons

I actually don’t have any cons. And I have nothing to report from their office as a con. I don’t for see any problems at the moment, maybe it’s because that we run a small office of less than 30 people…?

We are a small, mostly mobile company, so the ability to be seen as a cohesive unit is a great value proposition for us. Be warned to know when your anniversary date on your contract is, they will roll it over without warning and you cannot change it until the anniversary date.

Pros

The option for our associates to work from anywhere and seem to the client like they are at the office is key and is one of the BEST features about this software.

Cons

The setup is relatively easy, but the costs associated are not easily communicated to the business.

Product is a very easy to use product that helps when taking calls and getting faxes, as well as sending a co worker a message.

Cons

The only con is sometimes because its internet based it takes a few minutes to first load in the mornings.

Great calling app with a lot of features. Connection is generally good if you have LTE or fibre optic wifi.

Cons

Drop calls if connection isn’t strong. Also wish you could text pictures in the app for the cell phone.

Very easy migration and porting of numbers from other previous providers.

Pros

Very easy to use, their app is phenomenal. Pricing can't be beat. Easy set up guide to re-provision our existing phones to 8x8.

Cons

None that I have found in the six plus months since we've made the switch over to 8x8. Couldn't be happier!

I think it is a very intuitive app that allows you to bring your business anywhere. A ton of features differentiate this app from others like it. Definitely something I would recommend to others

Pros

Being able to park your calls on your phone to conference lines, or any other lines was a key feature personally.

Cons

Working better with new IOS updates on the iPhone.

For VOIP and calling, 8x8 works as advertised. Nothing that stands out from the competitors. Works just fine.

Pros

This is a solid VOIP option with capabilities of video conferencing as well. I have found 8x8 works well on desktop and phone app without too many issues.

Cons

The 3rd party integrations for 8x8 and other softwares need more work. They did not work as seamlessly as I hoped.

The app is suitable for different business sizes. Works great on both: mobile and desktop.

Pros

It has a variety of useful features: record of voice mail messages, send voice messages through email, answer the phone through the app. And it is easy to install, easy to use.

Cons

I have not found any significant cons during the use of the app. Couple times I had a problem with people who called me in. They told me they could not hear me. But it never happened again.

Not great. We will be switching once our contract is up.

Pros

I do like the ability to be able to access your phones remotely. I occasionally work from home and it is helpful to be able to transfer the phones to my cell.

Cons

We have had so many issues with our office lines and customer service has not been able to resolve the issue after multiple calls and hours of time spent on the phone with them.

This is the best tool which allows the voice calling from IP which can be customized based on countrywide. We can setup this in any country and get the calling voice from any country we need.

Cons

It's the best I have seen till now and only pricing can be a but lower.

We changed phone providers due to a dissatisfaction with poor support resources and difficulty with learning and understanding the admin portal.

Pros

8x8 was at least minimally functional while we maintained a physical office. It worked with our physical phones and were able to take and receive calls.

Cons

The worst aspect of 8x8 Virtual Office was dealing with their support. The poorly written support articles were difficult to navigate and talking with their representatives was often frustrating due to outsourced support staff, a lack of dedicated account managers, and long wait times. Escalating through their support hierarchy was nearly impossible.
