### "Frustrating but it works"

Overall I was pretty frustrated with it, but I have since figured out a loophole system to make sure it is working every morning.

Pros

Easy to take phone calls anywhere, anytime.

Cons

Every morning when I open my computer to use the application, I first must quit 8x8, re-open it and check for updates. If I don't, my calls will not work properly and nobody will be able to hear me on the other line.

### "Lack of MMS was a deal breaker"

We were not thrilled with our current provider and decided to try 8X8 after the sales person has courted us for a while. We quickly realized that the lack of MMS was a deal breaker and informed the sales person that we would not be moving forward. We didn't get a reply, but assumed no news was good news. A few months later our credit card started being charged. A few hours on the phone later, we are assured that everything has been taken care or, that our account was canceled and we would be getting a refund. Several days later our card was charged again, followed by an email stating that we would be charged a cancellation fee. Replying to that email us in touch with a person in the cancellation department who had no clue about what had transpired earlier. I sent her all the documentation including the email we have sent the sales person asking for our service to be canceled thinking that was the end of it. After a few days I sent another email to make sure everything has been resolved which has gone unanswered. Several days later we got another email stating that the cancellation is taking place, and our credit card would be charged. I tried replying to that email as it stated to do so if it was in error only to get an auto reply stating that I reached an email address in error. I resorted to getting a new credit card and hopefully this is the last we'll hear from them. Will not be using them if they are the last VOIP provider on the planet.

Pros

Did not try most things as MMS is a must feature for us.

Cons

Lack of MMS. Lack of communication. Dishonesty.

### "Lots of Spam calls"

Overall experience is good but I think still has to catchup with other products in the maret.

Pros

Good lightweight application works seamlessly on both Apple iPhone and windows laptop along with VOIP.

Cons

Lots of spam calls everyday. Not sure how to get rid of them. I generally keep on mute mode to avoid the incoming calls.

It's just a good virtual phone option - similar to RingCentral.

Pros

This works well as a virtual phone that I can use as a remote employee and not need to have a full desk phone on my desk. It also syncs with bluetooth headsets so you can use it for that too.

Cons

I may not have learned everything yet but when the App is closed. It doesn't show that you have a call so someone called me and I didn't realize that it was closed so I missed it. Hopefully it's just a setting adjustment though.

Pros

I loved having the app on my phone and my pc so that incoming calls could be answered anywhere, without having to share my mobile phone number.

Cons

Some of the menus in the phone itself were a bit complicated. Also the app on the pc didn't always work. It seemed like some of the features were disabled even though they were included in our service.

### "Very glitchy"

We use this to replace our physical phone lines, but unfortunately it was a terrible experience company wide. This is constantly crashing and has terrible sound quality. I have never once completed a call without the other end asking me to dial back in from my cell phone instead.

Pros

It has a convenient app, which allows you to make global phone calls. It has a text chat and phone services option, allowing you to communicate in different formats.

Cons

The sound quality is horrible. I constantly get complaints that there is tons of background noise (while I am in a soundproof booth alone) or that I sound like I am under water/in a tunnel/have a mouth full of marbles which is hardly acceptable in general, never mind in a business setting. the constant crashing and necessary reboots I could look past and chalk it up to my computer, but the sound quality is a company wide issue.

### "Mobile App is very Glitchy"

Pros

We use 8x8 for our office and we typically don't experience issues with our in office phones. The service is pretty reliable for in office phones.

Cons

The mobile app is SO glitchy. There is a large delay from when a call is received in office versus when it starts ringing from the mobile app. It causes a lot of our calls to be missed. Sometimes, the app won't open fully in order for us to hit the answer button. It will freeze a lot and requires a lot of forcing close and reopening the app so it will function properly.

Use this every day to make and track my calls made. Currently in a sales role where the number of calls made it tracked and used to measure performance. There have been many times when 8x8 doesn't accurately depict what was actually done. Also, I get their idea to make it sleek and simple, but there isn't enough info on the home page you help you easily navigate.

Pros

Gets the job done I suppose.

Cons

Takes significant time to figure out use, been using it for 6+ months and still trying to figure aspects of it out. Not intuitive.

Cons

Hard to distinguish 8x8 incoming calls from standard direct dials to my phone. Software has jot replaced getting calls as I had hoped.

### "program freezes often"

Team members are able to accept/transfer calls. Having the queue system helps with work flow.

Pros

The UI is fairly easy to navigate. Also, the reporting and monitoring features come in handy for data collection and analysis.

Cons

The program freezes quite frequently. Team members are forced to restart the program on an almost daily basis, which ends up wasting a fair amount of time.

Pros

I did a lot of research on virtual offices before going with 8x8. From what I could find they provided everything we needed a reasonable price. Us going with them probably had more to do with the lack of viable options for small businesses then 8x8 but we are happy.

Cons

The set up was not the most fun like most of this software and it is okay from an ease of use standpoint but could definitely use some improvement.

As a manager for an inbound tech support call center, 8x8 did a decent job accomplishing most of what we needed. It allowed us to answer calls, manage queue schedules and priorities, etc. The agent interface was easy to use, but the admin interface was fairly difficult and required some sort of a programming background to make full use of it. The biggest problem with 8x8 is its lack of features such as: automated reporting and live metric dashboards. Also, the email client was difficult to use and was very glitchy sometimes resulting in losing emails. The customer service was also below par. Most of the times that I called in, the agent on the other side, did not know the answer and took way too much time to get back to me (if they did). In a span of 6 months, I was assigned 3 different customer success managers making it confusing on who my go-to person was. We eventually stopped using 8x8 and went with a newer competitor that was in front of the pack in terms of features and quality.

Pros

It's a cloud solution allowing you to employ remote call center agents

Cons

The worst part was the lack of support especially when things were down. Most of my agents used the word 'hate' when it came to the email interface.

Pros

I love the idea of it; you can block numbers, make calls from a remote location, etc. And the conference call setup is really great, love being able to set something up for a one-time or on-going basis and I can access it from any phone, anywhere.

Cons

It resets itself whenever a software update occurs. So all the blocked numbers are lost. Also, people who don't use the features like making and receiving calls using your office number from your desk phone, cell phone, computer or tablet, video conferencing, etc. often don't remember how to do it and subsequently just don't use the software at all.

I like that I can easily use 8x8 Virtual Office from my cell phone when I am working from home. It is easy to download and use the app.

Cons

I do not like that 8x8 has so many glitches. Sometimes our whle department can't use the phone. Also it does not notify us when our mailbox is getting too full to take messages.

it connected to our phones and made it easy to talk and chat with coworkers. Could click on coworker's name just to call them.

Cons

It seemed like it worked well for the most part. Every now and again it would crash and we wouldn't be able to access our phones or chat.

Pros

It's an all in one solution. I love I can get my phone calls, VM's messages, etc. all in one place...

Cons

Nothing, it's amazing how they take so much technology and have it all work seamlessly together. Makes it easy for me to be reached.

Pros

Full featured. Great sound quality on laptop mic and speakers. Appears to inbound and outbound parties that you are at your desk. Same phone number with an internet connection.

Cons

A little on the finicky side. Little things like password/username requirements, and occasionally challenging configuration.

Pros

For the most part, it seems to do the job as intended. It allows me to make/receive business phone calls from my cell phone, receive voicemails, etc.

Cons

I think the integration between platforms could be improved (i.e. between the phone and the phone app and the PC app). I found the app very difficult to set up, especially things like call forwarding. And I think the app signs you out frequently and unless you go into the app you don't know that, so you think you're signed in and ready to receive calls but you're really signed out. I've missed calls for this reason.

Works well for enterprise environments. Many features with low overhead. Easy to navigate menus and easy to manager settings.

Cons

Can be sketchy when cloud servers go down. Find that support for this product is sometimes difficult. Frequent updates can cause more issues than they fix.

### "Not Recommended if you want Salesforce Integration"

We purchased 8x8 to be used by our sales team and track call activity in Salesforce. The Salesforce plugin never worked well. Some times it logged calls other times it didn't. Technical support was exceptionally unhelpful. They just suggested reinstalling the Salesforce integration again and again. We couldn't cancel fast enough.

Pros

The basic telephony worked fine. Nothing else to like.

Cons

The Salesforce integration is a piece of sh\*\*. The admin interface is primitive.
