### "One service instead of many."

Key differentiator for me is that it allows unification of service and abilities. I can be just as productive ( maybe more so ) at home or in the field as I am in the office with the 8x8 app! Also, being able to text from my work number has been a big differentiator and a key capability for some of my customers!

Pros

Allows for easy integration and is device agnostic.

Cons

Sometimes gets confused on phones after software updates.

### "Terrible for business"

We have used this service for over a year with over 150 users accounts. It has been terrible and unreliable, leadership has been unresponsive to requests to removes our many documented issues.

Pros

Seemless service, and that is it, but that is only when it works, which is 1 out of 10 times. very buggy.

Cons

It never works, and I mean never...app's are buggy, clients and customers do not care for s/w download to join a conference, its a large and clunky file.

Pros

\- Easy to use online interface. - Can make changes to the phone system via web portal - updates deploy immediately. - A lot of good features for the price.

Cons

\- Terrible customer service; if you have to call, you'll most likely get a support rep from overseas. - The Android app has major problems, it seems every update gets worse not better and they don't seem to really care that it doesn't work properly.

Pros

To start with vendor, we have used 8x8 since 2007 and they have always been helpful in sales and, occasionally, technical support. The product is reliable, performs well and is fairly priced. When we have experienced a problem, it has almost always been our fault and 8x8 has helped fix it promptly. I spend a lot of time in the UK and the Virtual Office by 8x8 helps keep me in touch with our US headquarters and clients in both countries - and saves me a fortune on cell phone charges. I no longer worry about call duration, or if a call is costing more than it is worth to our business.

Cons

I can't think of a response to this question.

### "Great for Phone"

It's a great platform for streamlining communication between clients and having visibility across multiple platforms.

Pros

I liked that I didn't really have to set anything up. My voicemails came directly to my email so I could retrieve them and listen to them quickly. This helped a lot when my company went to WFH during the pandemic as I wasn't in the office to receive phone calls. This made it easy to continue to receive them while I was away.

Cons

I really didn't use the landline phone that much as most clients connected with me over email but didn't have any issues when they did. Again, it was really helpful to be able to use the system remotely when my company had us all working from home.

Would love for the app to be optimized.

Pros

Really like the convenience of being able to take my office phone with me where ever I am. Useful in that aspect.

Cons

The app is very buggy. It goes offline after each call and if you don't restart the app, the next call that comes in will freeze on the screen. I've also noticed that the calls that come through on the app are delayed. The phone will ring twice in the office before my cell phone rings which causes a lot of missed calls if I'm not able to answer right away. Especially if the app doesn't respond quick enough.

### "8x8's inability to get our service running"

When I signed up for 8x8 my company was in the process of moving all of their employees to one centralized office. As soon as we signed our lease I began signing up for services such as 8x8. Initially, I really liked 8x8. Their reviews were solid, my account manager was friendly and I thought I'd made the right choice. Unfortunately, when it came time to set up all of our phones, I felt mislead. I was told it would take approximately 10 minutes to get each phone up and running. It's been about a month now and our phones still cannot receive incoming calls. 8x8 has diagnosed the problem as an systematic malfunction with our (and all) Gateway router. I am dissatisfied because we had subscribed to 8x8 before we chose our router. If I knew this, we might have purchased a different router. I believe we'll be able to solve this issue once we've picked the IT company we'd like to outsource this to but this problem is going to end up costing countless dollars and man-hours. I feel like it was avoidable.

Price, domestic customer service, features.

Cons

Lack of transparency about their systems limitation.

Pros

I found that this is nice when working in an office setting. Transferring and tracking calls while working in an office at at home has been easy and reliable. I like that the fax, phone, and messaging are all located in a place where I can see the icons and if they need my attention.

Cons

I wish there way a way for me to take notes in the phone call management screen.

Get tool and easy to use anywhere you are or need to be.

Pros

I like it because when I log in it pops up and I don’t have to log in each time. As well I can get access of it on my phone anywhere

Cons

The update is not the best but it doesn’t lag in call and easy to share screen. Or I have to continue to pair my headset each time I log in is not fun.

Pros

Virtual Office by 8x8 definitely delivers a lot of value in the product as well as resources outside of the the system alone. This includes an 8x8 academy that teaches basic users all the way to admins how to set up and run the platform so there's never a question. This was a brilliant move on their part as i'm sure it cuts down on all of the smaller businesses like me going to contact their support team for help.

Cons

I didn't have this system for long because I felt like I was nickel and dimed the whole way through it. While they have every service I would need in a traditional PBX, and at a much cheaper price than a traditional price, I've found other SaaS offer pretty much the same product at a better value for the small team I have. I've noticed a couple of other services I've tried are fairly plug-in-play, meaning quick and easy setup with straightforward prompts to get you going in no time. With a service this large and comprehensive, I don't blame them for this, but it wasn't necessarily a fit for my team's needs.

It is very simple to use, all the functions are understandable. Is an accessible service, you can login from anywhere there is internet.

Cons

There is a lot of service down time, sometimes it takes a while for the software work again.

Easy to set up and use via computer with wifi. Makes clear international and local calls via wifi, you can also receive calls directly if program is open.

Cons

If your wifi signal is not strong the calls with drop, have good headphones with a clear microphone. You will only see calls coming in if you have the program open.

The call quality is usually pretty bad. Hard to set up. Had a lot of trouble activating. Fine once you get passed all that. Dont really have anything I like about this software. It has always been hard to use and I must use it for my work.

We were able to all work remotely on some days and 8x8 allowed us to do that. We had ease of access to everyone.

Cons

We would have a lot of voicemail issues. It was very hard for our office to access individual extensions. It was a very long learning curve with this product.

can only be logged in to one mobile device at a time. Can't easily switch from cell to tablet without logging in again.

Pros

The company is great to work with. I never had an issue getting my sales rep or being put in contact with a tech when I needed one. The product is pretty easy to use and once you get it set up works great. Also, in my 3 years of using it there was never any downtime.

Cons

The product is coming along with new innovations, but it feels like its way too expensive. There are a lot of great features, but everything costs just that much more to put in place. Also, it worked great with the Netsuite integration.

Customer service is off-shore and usually takes a day or two to solve the issue. However, they have been able to to correct every weird mishap, every time.

Pros

Our monthly costs have dropped dramatically with VoIP service through 8x8. The sound quality blows analog lines out of the water as well. They run promotions from time to time that give you an easy way to get brand new Polycom Phones at low or no cost.

Cons

They have transitioned to a new web platform with the X2/X5/X7 plans which gets you a different management portal than Virtual Office Classic. It is still rather buggy which is not something you want in a phone system. Weird error messages will appear, sometimes it takes several times for a feature change to implement. If they are able to improve it, I can see it being an excellent product.
