The recent Spanish VAT registration process went smoothly: I was kept informed about the progress, my questions were answered promptly and clearly, the registration was successfully completed, and the VAT number was validated in VIES. I would like to specifically thank Althea, my Registration Assistant at Hellotax, for her excellent work and support throughout the process. Overall, based on more than nine years of working with Hellotax, I am satisfied with the service and would recommend it, particularly to businesses selling on Amazon using the FBA model. Pros My company has been a client of Hellotax (formerly FBA Hero) since spring 2017. I particularly appreciate the reliable support with VAT registrations, ongoing reporting and communication with tax authorities. This applies not only to routine matters but also to situations where complications arise and lengthy correspondence with tax authorities is required. Hellotax promised first-class support – unfortunately, this promise has not been fulfilled. By now, I am so desperate that I am considering seeking legal assistance. Working with the ticket system is extremely frustrating: every follow-up question seems to take me right back to the starting point, without any real progress being made. The current situation with the Polish tax office is particularly stressful. Due to a goods transfer to Poland, I am now facing significant trouble because Hellotax is apparently unable to submit my documents correctly or clearly explain where the problem lies. Since my Polish language skills are limited, I rely on clear and reliable support – but that is precisely what I am not receiving. Despite the high costs, practically nothing works. From my point of view, I am left with no choice but to give one star. The entire process has been a complete disaster. If you have the option to switch to another provider, do yourself a favor and choose a better service provider. Pros Very expensive. Poor performance. Unfortunately, I paid for a year. Every day I get a different reason from a different staff person with an excuse for not filing my VAT. Pros I so regret that I signed up with Hello Tax. It's been more than a month and they have yet to do anything. I get contradictory emails from their staff- one tells me they're all set with access to the VAT Gateway and then another email comes telling me they have no access. i no longer believe anything they tell me. Pros Convenient software (web client). You need to set everything up once, and then everything happens automatically. Each reporting period, you receive a notification about how much and where to pay. They know how to turn the paid import VAT into a tax deduction. All you need to do is fill out an excel file according to their template and upload it to the web client. Lightning fast support, with answers detailed and really to the point. For this kind of software, this is extremely important, IMHO. Cons Not much to say, but maybe my case is too simple. I set everything up once and haven't touched anything since - I check in once a month to see how much to pay in taxes.
