Pros
I like the easy hotkey and quick search and how fast it is. I like the templates, and look forward to seeing new ones. I wish there were more content packs and templates to choose from.
It works very well and all the people who use it are very satisfied and happy. We found some minor bugs, already reported, and the Typedesk team seems very reactive working on them for resolving.
Keyboard shortcuts for all the important use of the product makes it lightning fast and efficient. Fast and friendly support and a real willingness to listen and build a truly useful product.
I really like the ease of use TypeDesk, and its easy accessibility when sending repetitive and routine responses...it's a great tool.
Cons
The biggest missing piece is the lack of a mobile version. Cherry would be if it's synced for the responses.
AFAIK) there's no built-in action to check for software updates. Unable to Export responses.
Perhaps the trial limited collaboration, but, for these two reasons, I decided not to move forward with the product for our team.
Formatting disappeared when I pasted prefab into the app.

"Responding just got boosted! "
Pros: I really like how easy it was to put it to use. It's working great and helps a lot in my day to day work.
Cons: The biggest missing piece is the lack of a mobile version. Cherry would be if it's synced for the responses.Additionally I'd love to see some more abilities to create conditions and have spintax work to make responses more variable.
"Typedesk my favourite text expander with potential"
Overall: Overall typedesk delivers what we need and we hope the mentioned functionalities will be added in the future.
Pros: Typedesk is easy and fast to setup and integrates seamlessly into your work setup. It is easy to to use (hotkeys) and has a good feel and modern design. The possibility to add an api key is very useful and is used by our team. Furthermore it is exactly what we need.
Cons: As we are an organization that depends on a lot of texts, typedesk delivers, but is missing out on core functionalities. - nested folders (We have a lot of texts of different topics) - limited copy paste history (5) (My important copies are always older) - More logic (If variable = "happy" than add this text) (We don't have a use for the current logic) - Shared folders without manually assigning people to them. (A lot of work when a new folder is created)
"Not great, especially if you need support"
Overall: For one user, it works ok - syncing edits from the desktop version to your online version takes ages and often is not working.
Pros: We can create unlimited custom email templates
Cons: Syncing of edits is not working if you have several users. Software too often "not responding." No support if things don't work.
"TypeDesk makes good on support and it rocks!"
Overall: Easy to have the text blocks I use all day long and with a shortcut the whole text goes in with NO TYPOS!!
Pros: Easy to create shortcuts which makes it easy to remember what the text block was.
Cons: I had trouble getting my license key registered but once I asked for help it was taking my key and everything is working great.
"Such a timesaver"
Overall: I think its a great tool and for the price it cost its incredibly valuable, time saving and great value
Pros: It allows me to use canned responses and speed through my support jobs
Cons: The interface is easy to use and very straightforward saving me time and effort
"A good option for email template sharing within teams"
Overall: We need to have a consistent voice across the team, plus ensure we aren't constantly reinventing the wheel by rewriting the same emails. Typedesk looks to be a great solution for our needs.
Pros: Simple and intuitive to set up email templates and share them with the rest of the team. Really like the ability to add custom placeholders into templates - prevents emails going out with {insert value here} errors. Search function is good so it's easy to find the right template.
Cons: I would like the ability to add sub-folders for easier organisation of templates.
"Must have prodctivity tool"
Overall: Now that I am finally making use of this app, it is on my essential apps for writing emails and quotes.
Pros: It's super easy to use and very fast. You can be up and running in less than 20 minutes - seriously.
Cons: I wish it was there were more keyboard shortcuts.
"Save time and send consistent texts"
Overall: I'm happy as I save a lot of time and energy. In fact I started to use it to save time but I noticed it's even more important to save mental energy and to have consistent texts (the best version of a text)
Pros: i could very easily set up quite a number of the best version of standard texts I use.
Cons: i still cannot set some variables that could be very useful
"Great timesaver!"
Pros: Canned Responses with "Another response".
Cons: 1. No Pause program button. 2. No "run commands" option.
"Typedesk 100% Time Saver "
Pros: Saves a ton of time. Ensures my team answered questions just the way I would and the same way each time.
Cons: None - It is a great product. I would recommend it.
"Great productivity tool!"
Pros: Easy to use. Saves a lot of time. Free plan available.
Cons: Nothing so far.
"Flexible features in typedesk"
Overall: Typedesk helps me recover lost time every day... my team can share templates to have consistent messaging to customers! I wish I had found this tool years ago... it is fantastic!
Pros: Typedesk saves me so much time! Creating a template is easy to do... these shortcuts save so much time, and I'm finding new ways every week to continue optimizing my time by fine tuning my templates. The new features provide easy ways to create multiple results from a single template.
Cons: There is very little that is missing from typedesk - I would love a mobile app - even if I couldn't create templates - if I could use existing templates that would be so helpful!!! We do so much on our phones now.

"big time saver"
Overall: It simplifies my work immensely. Since I write a lot of emails, I can put them together with the small building blocks. Or even prepare and insert completely finished e-mail.
Pros: In the beginning I had to learn to find the right abbreviations for me and also to learn them. But that happens very quickly and can be changed very easily.
Cons: Sometimes it does not respond. And I do not understand why. Then I restart TypDesk. And in the app icon occasionally a black dot appears that I can't interpret?
"Awesome Product"
Overall: Easy to use, very understandable, good value for money, game and time saver.
Pros: I like the Shortcodes, that I can create my Templates and use them for example on my Mail Accounts, and for Web Design if I want to inject some HTML or Code instead of using Emmet or searching for the Code again
Cons: Nothing Actually, I like that they are till improving, so no Cons to say about it.
"Thank you! Nice app."
Overall: Great and smooth using from the first day.
Pros: It is easy to use and saves time. Possibility to set up your preset answers.
Cons: When you check variables in the other docs, sometimes the text doesn't appear in the place where it should appear.
"Fantastic Canned Response App"
Overall: Using TypeDesk ensures that our responses are professional and accurate every time. We don't have to worry about typos or wasting valuable time manually responding to emails.
Pros: As busy professionals we use Typedesk to stay in touch with clients and respond quickly to inquiries.
Cons: Doesn't have a mobile app. Competitors have integrated with ios/android keyboards to offer canned responses on mobile
"Great Product and help us lot and we dont need to type more now"
Overall: 5 start ou of 5 star
Pros: Every thing good Just press short cut and magic happen
Cons: not find any bug till. This is great toll which works at our We use same with whats appwith support boards with mails with chatand many more places
"Saves me SO much time"
Overall: I was going to put on a VA to pick up some of the slack for me with responding to emails or sending regular emails (which I used to have an email template that I'd copy & paste, then edit), but I found I could save a bunch of my time using canned responses. I took the time to set up templates for several frequent emails, statements, etc., and I've saved myself sooo much time. It's the next best thing to complete automation. I've set variables where it's necessary and I'll type out a full email now within seconds. I love it.
Pros: Within Typedesk, I've created several folders for responses depending on what I'm needing to type. Sometimes I need to type up an email, sometimes it's a line of text I use often, sometimes it's a connection request on LinkedIn - all of these can have shortcuts (or you simply copy directly from the app), and variables for each personalised section. I like that you can include images (including GIFs) and not just text as well. As far as I can tell, the app isn't resource heavy on my PC.
Cons: I wish I had more options for font customisation. It's not a big deal because I can simply change the font, but it's one more thing that takes time unnecessarily. This only matters if you're using Typedesk in emails or documents (which is what I use it for mostly). It also sometimes leaves the shortcut marker. For example, if my shortcut is: "/renewalemail", it sometimes leaves the forward slash instead of replacing the full text with the templated text I'm inserting. It doesn't happen often, but it does sometimes happen which is a bit annoying.
"Impressive software & team"
Overall: well, we keep finding new ways to use Typedesk. It started with the obviously canned email responses, especially for the Write for Us several emails we get every day. recently we've implemented it with social media posts, especially YouTube videos descriptions, and this is where Dynamic data comes in handy. I've also saved some "responses" that are basically code snippets that we constantly use.
Pros: * Creating canned responses and easily accessing them with a shortcut * replying to multiple emails of the same request, is now easy, and we only have to polish the reply once * dynamic input makes it very flexible, i.e. reply with Name, or Select (product)..etc. * (pro plan) has Teams feature, which is a big plus if you have a team working with. * Lastly, I like the fact that the team has been pushing updates and improvements regularly
Cons: * (AFAIK) there's no built-in action to check for software updates * unable to Export responses
"Good single user prefab app"
Overall: As a former Textexpander user (but who wants to pay that much per user seat), I was looking for a replacement for my Customer Success team. I wanted it to be collaborative between team members (multiple users with admin privileges to add/edit prefabs), be able to hold a plethora of prefabs, contain gifs and images as well as links. I look at quite a few options compared to Typedesk and Typedesk seemed to have an easy trial and interface to try it out. I would say Typedesk does not meet my criteria. Based on what I need for the team, a non-negotiable is adding images (not merely links to the images) in the prefab itself and having users collaborate. Perhaps the trial limited collaboration, but, for these two reasons, I decided not to move forward with the product for our team. However, if I was a single user, this would partly fit my needs, but again, I need to have images and gifs inside of the prefab (not just links to them).
Pros: -Easy to store my prefabs -trial was easy to start -user interface seemed simple -customers support was proactive in their reach out, I just ran out of time in my workday to provide sufficient feedback to them as they were reaching out
Cons: -formatting disappeared when I pasted prefab into the app -it's supposed to be collaborative between team members, but when I shared it with a team member, they had read only access. -can't insert gifs or images into prefabs; this would be incredibly helpful for customer support. it actually makes the product impossible for me to say yes to without this feature alone.

"Where have you been all my life?"
Overall: Fast, Capable, and SUCH a god-send time saving tool...
Pros: Anyone running a Customer Experience, Customer Service, Customer Support desk/team, etc needs to be using TypeDesk. While it has not been around a long time, it sure is already quite powerful and more features are added regularly. Keyboard shortcuts for all the important use of the product makes it lightning fast and efficient!!! Fast and friendly support and a real willingness to listen and build a truly useful product!
Cons: So far, very few bugs, and very few negative things to say. The one feature that is not quite there yet is being worked on and will be updated in the next two weeks so even less to consider as Cons very soon...

"TypeDesk - Help is just a click away"
Overall: Customer Support is a vital aspect in modern day business. Customers often expects prompt responses with details and solution to their issues. Typedesk is just the answer for your customer support team. With growing business, number of customer incidents increase and with limited budget, one can employ not too many support associates. Using typedesk and canned responses, not only keep your customers happy but grow your business as well.
Pros: It organize your canned responses very neatly and effectively with the power of customization. Application is very smooth and occupies very less space as compare to other apps. Current age is all about the response time and if your customer observes an unexpected delay, they will move to some other vendors. With typedesk, your business grows as your customer remains happy with the prompt support you can offer and provide.
Cons: Nothing much to add here. As a user, I just love typedesk
"A handy tool for those who send a ton of emails"
Overall: Great customer support whenever a few initial onboarding and basic usage questions arose...definitely recommended!
Pros: I really like the ease of use TypeDesk, and its easy accessibility when sending repetitive and routine responses...it's a great tool!
Cons: The only cumbersome aspect is having to re-login each time on boot-up, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience the tool provides.

"Typedesk saves me hours a week"
Overall: Just plain awesome
Pros: Before Typedesk I had a wiki that I used for my templates. Mostly I used the templates for my mails, social media and random info. Every time I had to copy and paste and then read the whole text and adjust it as needed. And now? I answer a few questions and the whole text is ready to go! Typedesk is saving hours a week :-)
Cons: There is absolutely nothing I don't like about Typedesk! Of course a few things I would love to be added in the future, but it's already on the roadmap :-)
"Awesome!"
Overall: I didn't think it was very useful for my small business but I tried it and within a day I purchased a code! It is so awesome and helpfull. Saves me loads of time and I no longer make the mistake of putting someone elses name in an email when copying the text. I use it to put in my brand color codes everywhere when needed, fast reply's and so much more. Really love it.
Pros: I use it everywhere. I like that is just so easy to set up and to work with. And when I miss some responses I just add them really quick. Love it! Makes everything so much faster.
Cons: I would like it to be used on my phone. That way I have the flexibility to work from anywhere and have a consistant response. Also, I use Calibri light in my mail and I am not able to when using Typedesk, so I would like to use Calibri Light :)
