However, the key to a successful implementation is a strong vision of the requirements of the project for document control, and reporting and how the tools available to the user will scale with project size. It cannot be understated that if the initial implementation is not planned or performed well by the user, recovery is difficult. Pros The support and willingness of the Glaass team to implement improvements, provide advice, and engage with issues is fantastic. The flexibility of the program is both one of its greatest strengths and weaknesses. If the goals and requirements for the project EDMS are clearly identified at the start of the project and implemented well, document control will be easy. The user is free to define what they require, the contents of modules and cases, however they are also free to fail based on those inputs. Cons The permissions structure, admin tools, ability to easily get information and tasks into specific groups hands through workflows, manual field updates, and user ability to correct their mistakes are problems that I hope will be improved long term. Pros Contract administration of project where Glaass Pro has been implemented has benefited the overall QA document and record management and correspondence flow. Once ITPs are set up the release of hold points is easily tracked and conformance verified. Registers are automatically updated for e.g. lot conformance status, NCRs and reports can be generated customized through filters to suit project needs. Cons Initial set up and getting used to the software can seem a bit daunting at first, however it is very intuitive and Glaass provide good backup support and training. It was not existing mobile version and now it's available on the two biggest mobile apps stores for smartphone and tablet. I find it flexible and customisable, treatment of data is easy thanks to the "export" feature that allow to use the data in other softwares. Help-desk very realiable and able to understand quickly the requests from the clients: being an administrator in the current project I have the possibility and the duty of improve the ease of use of the tool for every member of the company. I can say that the support is very effective. Pros The interface (its menus and fields) is completely customisable, easy to implement and low in terms of harware demands: it can be easily used from the mobile. Cons There is no possibility to modify an open diary in order to change (or add) the status of one field without the need of reopening the case. The main upside is that you can pull back all data/info you are looking for (i.e. for a claim) after years with ease and recall what was ongoing, supporting it with analysis, pictures, correspondence and last but least old-style-site-diary. All this accessible and editable for you and your team at the same time. Cons I would say the Calendar is the least helpful feature so far, it would have a really positive impact if integrated with the Company´s one. Get a presentation to understand if it cover your needs. They are very happy to present their product and will answer all your questions. The Safety feature in GLAASS is an amazing tool to keep record and most important track and trace cases to get them closed in time. Working on a large-scale project with 22 sites the analytic feature has become very useful. It helps you with the full overview of the project and enables you to monitor the ohs performance of the whole project but also down to individual users, sites, subcontractors etc. Pros Amazing tool that enables teams to record, track and trace project information easily with minimum training required. A quick way to share information and an easy way to monitor and get cases closed. With GLAASS you're always up to date with latest revisions and the link function keeps you in the loop anytime, you´ll have all documents needed related to any specific case easily accessible.
