### "My View of Christian Video Accessibility and Quality"

July 2, 2019

5.0

The benefits are numerous, but I think the quality of what I download and the ease at which I can do this, would have to be the most important to me. My fear is that each year the price will go up. If that happens, then at some point I will have to stop using this site, and find one that is more affordable.

Pros

What I like most about the Safe Share site is the ease I have at downloading any video I need for my Religion Classes. I am a Catholic School Teacher of 3rd Graders. I begin each of Religion classes with Christian Music Video. But I also download clips from Religion Movies that correspond with my Religion Lesson. Once I have downloaded the video I have easy access to import these videos in each of my Religion lessons. I don't have to worry about the students seeing inappropriate content. By downloading these ahead of time I don't risk that ever happening.

Cons

I don't like that fact that I have to pay for this service. As a Catholic School Teacher I pay for this site out of my own pocket, because I don't work for a school that has money to spend to things like this. But, because of the importance of this in my Religion lessons, I spend my own money each month to assure that I show quality videos.

### "Great for educators"

June 21, 2019

5.0

I have been using safeshare.tv for years. This is the first year I had to purchase it. I asked my parent-teacher organation to cover the cost. As a third grade teacher, I want to avoid unseemly, uninvited, distracting advertisements from popping up while showing video clips to my students in class or sharing them to be viewed at home. Safeshare.tv is an excellent resource to ensure my students' safety and innocence.

Pros

I love safeshare.tv because I can share videos with my students without all of the pop-ups, advertisement, and links to other distracting (and sometimes inappropriate) enticements that are on the Youtube.com site.

Cons

Safeshare.tv just started charging for their services the past academic school year. Prior to that, it had been a free service. I feel that, as an educator, the price is pretty steep. I would not have been able to cover the cost if my local parent-teacher organization hadn't agreed to cover the cost this year. I don't know if they will continue to be so generous in the future. I feel you should look into the cost for educators. Furthermore, I was very disappointed that, even after upgrading to the paid plan, all of my previous videos had to be redone. I had links embedded in power point and other education media as well as my classroom website. I had to go in and update every single one of my links manually. What a pain! I felt this was poor customer service and thanks for long-time customers. You should look into ways to remedy that if you want to retain customers.

### "Using SafeShare.tv and E-Learning"

July 3, 2019

5.0

My experience has been excellent. It has been a game changer as an educator. I no longer have to panic or feel hesitant on using video links. Prior to using SafeShare.tv, I was always worried about things popping up such as ads. Now, I can use more technology for

Pros

The best thing is that it removes all ads and distractions for educational purposes. My students are not distracted by other links and I, as an educator, do not have to worry about other content or pop up ads being displayed.

Cons

Honestly, I have not had any dislikes on this software. I have shared it out with my team of teachers as well as other educators and administrators in my same field.

Reason for choosing SafeShare.tv

We chose SafeShare.tv because of its ease of use and quality. Other comparisons sometimes would not find a link and said our link was unusable but I have not run into this problem with SafeShare.tv It has always been able to take our links and convert to an educational friendly one. I wish I could give it more than 10 stars.

### "Safeshare makes using videos worry free"

June 19, 2019

5.0

Overall, I love safe share. I used the free version for a year or so and then decided to subscribe. It is an investment in my teaching that is worth it! I would recommend it to a teacher who wants to incorporate more video clips into teaching without the worry.

Pros

Safeshare makes it very easy to download YouTube videos and create videos where you do not have to worry about what pops up at the end or ads in the middle. I like how I can save my safe views for easy access at another time. Whether you pay so you can have unlimited safe share videos or use the limited free version, it is a great product and I am very quick to recommend it to my colleagues.

Cons

I wish I could organize my safe shares by subject without having to create playlists. I like to upload links to the videos in Google Classroom and I do;t always want my students to watch the entire playlist. I also wish I could use safe share for TeacherTube and other things.

### "Great way to be safe!"

July 7, 2019

5.0

SafeShare has allowed me to help my students be more engaged in learning through the use of educational videos that are easily saved, cut, and accessed throughout the school day.

Pros

SafeShare allows you to share Youtube and other videos with children without inappropriate adds popping up. I use a lot of short videos to help with transitions in my first grade classroom. Through the use of SafeShare, I am able to put safe links in a document that allow me to quickly pull up these videos. When you create a link, it is saved on you dashboard so that you can access it later. I also like that I am able to quickly cut the beginning and ending off of the videos if they contain advertisements or information that I do not need.

Cons

I am only allowed to save 20 SafeShare videos. This means that I have to delete the ones I am not currently using to make room for the ones that I need.

### "Protect Your Students and Yourself."

July 1, 2019

5.0

I have found it very helpful to have safeshare as a classroom tool. It removes ad banners and sometimes shocking material from the side panels. National Standards for music require teaching the Star Spangled Banner, I am able to share the version that I like through safeshare with the media dept. I personally I like a sign language interpretation. I have had other teachers want to use it in class as part of a lesson, easy share.

Pros

\-share videos for lessons to my students without embarrassing and inappropriate material. -save the SafeShare links in .pptx's smartboard, and use them year after year -quality will be exactly like the original link imported -you can share your link with other teachers working in teams i.e. I share safeshare links with our school media room to share on announcements to reinforce school-wide concepts.

Cons

\-inputing the video's can be more time consuming than clicking a link in google for youtube. (\*consider a add-on in google chrome.) -login to the site -there have been periods of time where because of security features on my school computer I am unable to access safeshare (\*download availability, storage off of site) -not all people on a team use it -students get excited when they see the YouTube logo and watching a video on safeshare they don't recognize the brand

### "Great for the classroom"

June 25, 2019

4.0

Overall, I am very pleased. I use safeshare almost daily and have recommended it to several colleagues. Customer service has been exceptional. I had a billing issue that was resolved quickly and fairly.

Pros

I am an elementary school teacher and this software has been so helpful. I am able to use YouTube content without worry of inappropriate commercials popping up or extra content being visible that may not be something I would want my students to see.

Cons

It can be confusing to use at first (especially if you have little computer knowledge). While I can use it just fine, when trying to convince my colleagues to use it, too, it’s confusing. I would also like to see an option to maybe categorize the videos (like these are all for science, these math, etc.). I know you can make a playlist with this, but I think this would make it easier.

### "Safe Way to Watch YouTube Videos! "

September 20, 2020

5.0

Safeshare.tv has solved problems for educators in the way we are able to share YouTube or Vimeo. The playlist option makes it easy for educators to build playlist based on content and easy to organize them.

Pros

I use SafeShare.tv on a daily basis in my classroom to ensure that no inappropriate ads or videos pop up. While Youtube has a plethora of great videos and resources, I do not trust that it will keep inappropriate content from popping up. It is very easy to copy and paste a link into Safeshare.tv. You can create playlist and circles to share with other contacts.

Cons

There is a free subscription but it's limited to making two playlists and 20 safeview videos. The cost is less than $5.00 per month to access the premium plans, however, there are other free resources that can be used daily with no limit.

### "Awesome!"

June 25, 2019

5.0

Pros

I love that I can use this in my classroom. Nowadays, teachers have to get educational videos for classroom use off of YouTube. I hate putting up a YouTube streamed video for my students to watch because I am always nervous about the ads that will pop up that are inappropriate. I love that I am put the link right into SafeShare and feel good about what I am showing my students. I also love that it saves all of my videos. I used SafeSahre mainly this year to show math songs and it was a great feature to be able to go back into the saved videos to replay old favorites.

Cons

The only thing I would change is being able to have more than 20 free videos, however, I also understand that this company needs to also receive compensation for their awesome product!

### "SafeShare saved me!"

June 19, 2019

5.0

I used to use YouTube and I would have to sit at my desk to close out ads or to play the next video I wanted my students to see. Teaching a special education class of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten makes it hard to sit at the desk. Using SafeShare.tv has allowed me to click on my play list and then join my students in sing-a-longs. I will definitely continue to use SafeShare.tv.

Pros

The pro of this software is that it takes out the ads and leaves me free to be with my students. I can add my videos to a play list and walk away and let the videos play.

Cons

As an educator who cannot afford to pay out of my own pocket, I use the free program. This program limits me to only 20 videos. I wish that educators who are using it as a single use could get 50 free videos.

### "A Must-Have for Educators"

July 2, 2019

5.0

SafeShare has allowed me to share quality children's books with children. YouTube is full of videos that feature people reading to children. So many children do not have books in their homes or are just not read to in the home environment. The QR code feature in SafeShare brings countless books into children's homes! It has really been a game-changer.

Pros

I love that SafeShare allows me to protect my students from inappropriate visual and audio content on YouTube. As a teacher, I value being able to easily adjust the beginning and end points of the content I wish to share with children. YouTube can be a slippery slope for young children to navigate. SafeShare is the filter that keeps my young students on-task when they are online.

Cons

I can honestly say that there is nothing I don't like about this software.

### "SafeShare is great, however...."

June 27, 2019

5.0

Pros

I love that the product takes a regular link to something like a Youtube video intended to be shown to a class of 7 year- olds and will make sure that no inappropriate language, pictures, etc. pop-up during it. It is like having an insurance policy that gives you peace of mind that you are covered in that area.

Cons

Cost---it used to be a free product for teachers and now we have to pay after so many uses. I wish there was a way that your company could get a grant or donation from a corporation that would help cover these costs for teachers. As you see, the county does not pay for this for us (even though we would get in trouble if inappropriate things popped up!) and we have so many things we pay for out of pocket as it is.

### "Unanswered Questions"

July 9, 2019

5.0

One of the few sites I have found to remove the sidebar and ads from YouTube videos which is an absolute must for teachers and students.

Pros

Removal of ads during viewing in the educational setting.

Cons

I am uncertain of a few things that I would like to be aware of and have questions about. 1. Are my QR codes still viewable by others if I stop my subscription? 2. Many Youtube video creators make money from their ads. Teachers have a high ethical and moral line they don't like to cross. When using Safeshare, how does that affect the video creators when we remove the ads through Safeshare? Are we cheating them out of what is rightfully theirs? 3. Do end users have to have an account to view the QR codes or does the QR creator only have to have the account to create the QR code? Hope that makes sense. Then back to question 1. What happens if at some point my subscription stops? Do my QR codes stop working?

Reason for choosing SafeShare.tv

I had already been using it and many of my QR codes were made with SafeShare. I like the fact that you can grab the QR code directly from the site without the extra steps which saves time.

### "Great product until filter was added"

June 26, 2019

4.0

Great product until the filter was added; I was constantly not allowed to post my videos because of "sensitive material" in my videos. There was never anything even remotely close to sensitive material and I wasn't able to post announcements through SafeShare that day. Very frustrating and happened frequently near the end of the school year. Will most likely not renew because of this issue.

Pros

Ease of use Had been great for "safe" streaming of campus video announcements (without the junk of YouTube) - (until I started having problems with the filter this year)

Cons

Customer support - not being able to get immediate help and speak to a person directly; I was responsible for posting daily announcements and didn't have time to wait/hope for a possible solution. And then have to play email tag over several days to find the right solution. A direct email address or phone number should be available when customers have problems with the product.

### "Good Product Terrible Support"

January 13, 2022

3.0

Pros

The software is easy to use and allows me to safely show YouTube videos.

Cons

The big con I have is with their support. The only way to contact them is through their support ticket feature under Support and they are extremely slow to respond. We purchased the Premium to not be restricted on the number of saves. I attempted to add some staff to my team, but kept getting the message that they were on another team. They logged in and showed to be on the free version and there was no where they could remove themselves from a team. Support closed my original ticket as resolved when the issue was not resolved.

Reason for choosing SafeShare.tv

Ease of use, but since we renewed our Premium license we have had issues and support has been very slow to respond.

### "A Classroom Must"

June 25, 2019

5.0

Safeshare is something that I rely heavily on in my classroom. It has changed my teaching style to be more in touch with my students.

Pros

I would organize my daily links for classroom viewing. For each class, I would play, pause, discuss in the same fluid way with no fumbling for links to pull up and work, and the assurance that there would be no commercial interruptions. Plus the freedom to use a portion of the video and not the whole thing was marvelous!

Cons

If I wanted the same link to play at the beginning of the lesson and at the end of the lesson, I would have to create two safeshares instead of being able to use it twice. That was the biggest problem when I was editing the safeshare down to a certain clip.

### "Great classroom resource! "

June 25, 2019

5.0

Safehare has been immensely helpful to me as an elementary school teacher. It allows my class to view videos without worry about autoplaying another video, random ads popping up, or inappropriate language or content. It's wonderful to be able to tell my kids that they can pick any video without having to veto their choices, as I know everything on SafeShare is appropriate for my youngsters!

Pros

The process of transferring a video is simple and easy, and the user interface is likewise intuitive and easy to navigate. SafeShare's focus on providing safe content is clear, and it filtered out several videos as inappropriate due to mild (but still offensive to some) language that I hadn't caught in my preview.

Cons

Some possible improvements include making it possible to copy over only a small portion of a video (especially helpful for longer videos that we just want a snippet of, or videos that have inappropriate content in an area we don't plan to watch). Another idea is to make a way to file videos (for example, I could save videos in a "Science" "Social Studies" or "Math" folder) to keep clutter down.

### "safeshare tv use in my classroom"

July 26, 2019

4.0

I had a good experience with safeshare. I used it in my classroom often. It saved me from the paranoia of my students hearing something unnecessary in my classroom. Often times commercials aren't inappropriate but shift the focus from what I want the video to be about to the commercials that they see and hear. Also it saves the time from having to look for the video because I have already loaded it and I can use it again and again for different classes.

Pros

I don't have to worry about my students seeing or hearing advertisements in videos that I want to use and share that are coming from the internet. I teach elementary school and it saves me feel like I am providing a safe classroom.

Cons

I wish I had more safeshares available. I did not like the most recent changes that were made I thought it was more difficult to navigate and it took me more time to load the videos I wanted to use. Also I had to delete videos that I had already used to make way for new ones. I often use the same videos from year to year and forget what version of something I liked or where to find it. It would be nice if could stay on there.

### "Safe Share is GREAT for educators!"

July 2, 2019

5.0

This is a great program for teaching classes and has been so useful! It helps protect our kids from extra stuff the internet can send our way.

Pros

SO GRATEFUL that there is a way to share a YouTube video with my 5th grade classroom with out distracting or embarassing commercials. I also love that you can cut or crop a video to make it just right for a lesson. It is also great that the video stops by itself and does not go on to another video. That way I don't have to be standing right by my computer and can continue teaching. This is a great product.

Cons

Of course I would like to have the ability to store more videos in the free version. (I think the limit is 16 or so???) I often have to delete and the add videos through the year. Of course, I understand that there have to be some perks for the paid version, so it makes sense.

### "A Must for the Classroom"

February 25, 2021

4.0

SafeShare has been an invaluable resource for my classroom. The peace of mind it affords me is amazing.

Pros

Safe Share is a must for every classroom. Particularly, younger classrooms. As a teacher, I want to be able to play engaging \*short\* clips and videos to get my class engaged and excited about the content. I do not, however, want to have to worry about the ads that may pop up when I press play. Safeshare makes it possible to not have to worry! No ads, and safe viewing! A win!

Cons

Unfortunately, there is a cap as to how many 'safe videos' you can have saved to your account. However, I didn't use this feature often enough for it to be a big issue.

### "SafeShare is great for history teachers!"

July 3, 2019

5.0

SafeShare is great for teachers! I have a premium subscription and I have encouraged several of my colleagues in my school to use SafeShare. I recommend SafeShare to ALL educators.

Pros

As a history teacher, I refer to video clips for much of my lessons to enhance the content being taught. YouTube has a plethora of material, and SafeShare makes it easier for me to take this material and make it part of my lessons. I am able to find the history clip that I need, get rid of the ads, and adjust the video to make it applicable to my lesson. The students find this very helpful! Some of my students have created their own SafeShare accounts to use when presenting information in projects.

Cons

My only con is that some of the video clips that I need are deemed "inappropriate" by SafeShare because of the battle content. Videos that I use are on materials such as the American Revolution and Civil War. In the past, I've had to find another video on YouTube or email SafeShare directly to get access to the video.

### "SafeShare"

July 2, 2019

3.0

Overall, SafeShare has enhanced lessons for my students because it allows me to use technology, a platform with which they are very familiar.

Pros

I love converting YouTube videos that I use for instruction into safe formats so there is no risk of something inappropriate popping up during a lesson. I love getting 20 free SafeShares as well.

Cons

I didn’t like that the videos generated an automatic description every time. Sometimes the descriptions would exceed the character limit, which did not allow the SafeShare to be created which added an extra step for me. I also had trouble loading the site frequently, which interrupted the flow of my lessons.

### "Great resource for safe viewing!"

June 24, 2019

5.0

I have shared this site with many teachers who thank me for keeping their students focused and safe. It’s a great asset and safeguard.

Pros

It allows me to upload videos safely from YouTube without all the ads or additional recommended videos that come with a direct link to YouTube. I can time it specifically for a set of minutes and it helps children stay safe and focused on one video.

Cons

I wish there wasn’t a limit to the amount of videos I can upload for free. I work at a technology driven district and videos are a daily part of my instruction. Removing the limit would allow me to save and refer to videos from unit of curriculum to another.

### "Great way to collect and organize YouTube videos for teaching"

July 17, 2019

5.0

YouTube videos can be great attention-getters and visual aides for lessons I teach in the classroom. However, sometimes playing directly from YouTube results in inappropriate ads popping up, or an unwanted video autoplaying. SafeShare solves that problem, and gives you tools to organize the videos you want to show.

Pros

I like that SafeShare provides a way to show YouTube videos without exposing students to ads and autoplay videos that may show something you do not want them to see. The videos play without any ads popping up and when they are over, it just stops. You can also organize videos into folders and playlists. It's free for up to 20 videos, but you have to pay to keep more. It's worth it, to me, for the peace of mind, and ease of use in lessons.

Cons

It was confusing when I was first trying to play videos. You don't just double click the video you want to play--you have to click it to select, then click the triangle icon on the side menu to play. It is a little cumbersome. I wish it was still free.
