I suggest to anyone who wants to make it easier to collect documents from customers. Pros Pipefile is awesome! It has streamlined collection of client documents for our law firm, using just a cell phone. People find the software very easy to use, and the customization is excellent. This has helped us so much vs. the old days of making our customers scan documents on a scanner or at Office Depot, which created more delays in our process. Pipefile is effective, simple to use and fairly priced. Cons Could be a bit more intuitive to use, but you get it after 1 or 2 tries. Review Source RR Roger R. Pros We are attorneys and have been using Pipefile for 6 months. This platform is easy to use and categorizes items we need to collect from our clients. It has been a complete game changer for our office!! Pros I don't even know where to begin! Pipefile has become an essential part of our day to day operations at the law office that I work at. Customer support has been nothing short of amazing. The ease of use for our clients has been a game changer. I no longer get emails or phone calls because a document is too big or won't attach to an email has stopped. It no longer takes me days to review and organize Discovery responses. Once the clients are done submitting the documents that are requested, I can easily download all of the documents and it is already organized! Cons AI feature is confusing and doesn't always give me what I'm looking for. I wish it would take the document that I uploaded and create a line for each document request instead of grouping similar document requests together. Review Source HH Henry H. Pros I like the ease of use and the flexibility of the software. The consumers like how easy it to use and that is important to me too. Cons Sometimes it is difficult to get a live person on the phone. However, the issues are resolved quickly. It seems a bit simple, and could be a tad bit more ‘professional’. However, I'm trying to find an alternative, since I have multiple offices and work from home occasionally, and I really find the "Authorize New Device" message/email very annoying. It actually makes me cringe when I have to do it on a computer that is not using a VPN service and is not "new". Pros I like being able to create custom templates and being able to modify them as needed before sending them off. I also like that the service automatically reminds the recipient periodically. Cons I heard that their mobile app does not function properly and requires the user to hit "N/A" before moving forward. This causes the checklist to be "completed" even though no documents were attached via the mobile app. I have brought this issue up with Pipefile, but the problem is still there. Also, I have two office locations in Houston. Pipefile does not allow me to log into the system without verifying a "new device" any time that I am at my 2nd office or at home. I turn off my VPN so I'm not sure why this safety feature keeps asking me to authorize my use via email. Personally, I really hate this, because it creates problems when I'm trying to sign in on my mobile device or a different computer. It creates an unnecessary burden and an extra email that I wish I didn't have to go through. If you have a busy work/life, it would be nice to have an alternative service that would get rid of this annoyance. Lastly, I noticed that some recipients are sending very poor images since they are able to upload photos from their phone. So when I ask for a document that is very long, the recipients would sometimes send me phone taken photos of each page. This is really messy. Before Pipefile, clients would have had to send the document as a PDF via email, mail them, or bring them in for our office to sign. Also, if photos are attached, a person would have to use a color printer to print the images due to shadowing issues. Reason for choosing Pipefile Availability. Review Source JC Jeri C. August 4, 2023 5.0 Prior to using Pipefile - I used DropBox. The old interface was confusing. My less computer-savvy customers would often give up, and risk emailing sensitive documents, or try and fax items to me. Pipefile is beautifully simple, straightforward and intuitive. My customers have remarked about how much easier it is to use. And Pipefile literally replaces a full time employee, whose job used to be chasing down and organizing paperwork Now my assistant helps me chase down new business! Pros The simplicity. Pipefile is about document gathering, and communication. That's it. It doesn't try, or pretend to be an overly complex LOS all-in-one system with features that you neither understand - nor need. It does one thing - and it does it better than anyone I've seen on the market. I have a few clients that are not computer savy and can't use it, but they can't use basic email and have other people help them. Those clients send me hundreds of emails with attachments and clog up my email for important immediate business needs. Pros when downloading files from clients, they are already in folders labeled appropriately. This is an awesome feature. Cons I need to learn how to use for forms and checklists. It "gamifies" document collection in a way that motivates customers and provides them clear feedback about how they're progressing. It also allows you to inject your firm's personality into the communications and provide encouragement, explanations, and support - all automatically and evergreen. Cons There's nothing about it I don't like, but I see the possibilities for the future, like embedding explanatory videos, featuring a "help" button that might connect to a live chat, consumers want to use this and that's what makes it great. Owner Law Practice Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Pipefile helps me organize my client document requests" November 19, 2020 5.0 Pipefile helps my bankuptcy law practice be more efficient in requesting documents from clients. Pros Before I started using Pipefile, I would ask clients to upload their documents to a cloud folder. As a result, the files would be disorganized and oftentimes, there would be multiple documents included in one PDF that I would have to then review and disassemble using Adobe Acrobat. Also, the document filenames often were not helpful in letting me know what the files contained. So, the reason I switched to Pipefile was because it allows me to send out document requests in an orderly fashion. The document requests now go out as a checklist of items and the uploads are automatically sorted into folders that I have pre-named, so everything is organized. Furthermore, I can reject document uploads that are not correct and send the request back to the client with an explanation of the defect (e.g., the scan is too blurry to read) Cons There is no help documentation. To be fair, Pipefile is pretty intuitive, there is a demo on YouTube, and the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is highly responsive (like sometimes within minutes) to my email questions, but Pipefile really needs help documentation like a knowledgebase. It is amazing how much time we were spending following up on document requests or the clients thinking they provided everything on our previous list system with check boxes. This takes away the need to make followup calls, which usually turns into talking about more than the documents we need. Our office staff loves it. I have already referred to others and cannot say enough about how much I love it. Pros I needed a secure system to collect documents which includes sensitive information. The secure links that we provided to our clients before were difficult to use for our clients and they disappeared after a short time. Our clients are telling us it is very easy to use. We added a link in the signature line of our emails for our clients to open and drop documents, easier than Drop Box. We are happy that it is HIPAA Complient. Cons We don't have any cons. Anytime we have a question about the software or ask if it can be used a certain way, the staff at Pipefile immediately emails back with a new button or instructions. Ease of use being the biggest reason why. Pros I love pipefile for the simple fact that it's the easiest to use platform for my clients that I have found. I love that they don't have to create an account. I also love that setting up an upload link for them is super simple. Cons 19.99 a month seems a little pricey.
