I have used several cloud storage providers over the years, including Dropbox, Sync.com, OneDrive, and Google Drive, and I intended to use Internxt as an additional layer of backup. Unfortunately, customer support has consistently been one of the weakest aspects of my experience with Internxt. On the few occasions I have needed assistance, responses have been very slow, brief, and often incomplete, requiring repeated follow-ups to get meaningful help. My latest experience has raised much more serious concerns. I recently logged into my account and discovered that my 10 TB lifetime plan had disappeared and my account had reverted to a free 1 GB account. I also lost access to the files I had stored there. I contacted support both through the online support system and by email. Despite the seriousness of the issue, it took almost a week to receive a meaningful response. I answered their questions and provided proof of my account and purchase, but more than 10 days after initially reporting the problem, I still did not have access to my 10 TB account or my files. Fortunately, Internxt was a secondary backup for me, not the only location where these files were stored. This experience has made me reconsider the appeal of lifetime cloud storage. A low one-time price is only valuable if you can depend on continued access to both your account and your data. I hope Internxt resolves the issue, and I am willing to update my review if they do. Until then, I would not recommend relying on Internxt as the primary or only storage location for important data. Pros The 10 TB lifetime deal was extremely attractive. Paying once for a large amount of cloud storage rather than another monthly or annual subscription seemed like excellent long-term value. It also gave me an additional off-site location for my data and added redundancy to my existing backup strategy. Cons Customer support has been extremely slow, frustrating, and almost arrogant, with brief and incomplete responses and long delays between communications. More importantly, my 10 TB lifetime account unexpectedly reverted to a free 1 GB account and I lost access to the files stored there. More than 10 days after reporting the issue and providing proof of my purchase, I still did not have my account restored after 13 days. This has created serious concerns for me about using the service for important data. The idea of paying once for a large amount of cloud storage instead of adding another recurring subscription was very attractive. I didn’t completely replace my other cloud services; I primarily added Internxt as a secondary backup and an additional layer of redundancy. In retrospect, the lifetime pricing was attractive, but reliability, functionality, and responsive support are ultimately much more important when choosing where to store your data. App is quirky and not very useful. Web interface, while better, is terrible. If you do sound or video development and think you can bring this into your ecosystem, you're wrong. After 18 months, I've only been able to upload 6TB, and I'm not interacting with it more than 1-2x per week. They try different approaches to stop you from using the service including ethically dubious emails, and now they've created a 10GB limit on the size of file one can upload. If you think you'll develop a full master and upload it for backup, think again. A 5-minute 4K vid in development takes up more than 10GB. You're back to the days of tape drives and having to chunk everything. Pros Good price for lifetime of storage (theoretically). Was a good service in theory. Theory isn't reality. Cons Severe throttling. Increasing restrictions. Inability to keep session alive during large uploads or downloads. Poor customer service. Expensive as one will end up abandoning the service, as this seems to be their plan from the beginning. On the surface, it looked like an incredible deal —a lifetime account with 20TB of storage from StackSocial at a price that seemed too good to pass up. With a coupon, I paid around $400 (I know, I should have known better). I did my homework, read the reviews, saw a mix of opinions, and thought maybe it was just a small startup finding its footing. Despite warnings from my coworkers and engineering friends (“It’ll probably be gone in a year — and so will your data”), I took the plunge. Unfortunately, almost everything the negative reviews said turned out to be true. Customer service doesn’t just need improvement — it’s nonexistent. When I reached out with questions and concerns, I got an automated reply promising a response within 24 hours. After three separate attempts, I never heard back… ever. After waiting nearly two weeks, I finally went through StackSocial to request a refund — and even that was a struggle. It took multiple follow-ups and was only resolved after I threatened to contact my credit card company. Ironically, after the refund finally went through, about a week later, I received a canned AI-generated email from Internxt suggesting that the features I wanted would require an additional recurring fee. For context, I was planning to back up my music collection for safekeeping — simple enough. My goal was to upload folders of albums, not individual files. But with Internxt, I couldn’t upload even a single album folder at once. I had to upload each MP3 file individually. At that rate, filling 20TB would have taken me about a hundred years. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this disappointed with a company. I truly wanted to support a new, privacy-focused cloud storage provider, but the lack of functionality, support, and transparency makes it impossible for me to recommend it. Pros The Idea. A lifetime drive of 20TB for $400. Ok, that would be a great solution if it worked, or if it was even possible. Ich fand die Idee eines Europäischen Cloud Speichers mit Zero Knowledge absolut unterstützenswert, weshalb ich mich trotz des noch Jungen Unternehmens entschied gleich 20TB Lifetime zu kaufen. Vorab möchte ich noch kurz Erwähnen das ich Fit am Computer bin und auch mit Unterschiedlichsten Cloud Speichern gearbeitet oder getestet habe. Leider fällt mein Fazit nach 6 Monaten INTERNXT nun leider doch sehr so Misserabel aus, das ich schon fast sagen möchte das hier Kunden gezielt um ihm Geld gebracht werden. Hier eine kurze Zusammenfassung -———————————————— Ich habe 2x neuere Macbooks und 1x Iphone das Aktuelle Betriebssysteme / Updates und auch immer das akutelleste Interxt Drive installiert hat. Leider habe bisher (ausser für Zahlreiche Tests) noch keinen Byte der Interxt Online Cloud benutzen können. Es fing alles nach dem Kauf mit einem Bug der Internxt Drive Software an, der nach 4Tage durch ein Update behoben sein sollte. Auf das Update wurde ich Schlussendlich über 1Monat wöchentlich vertöstet. Desweiteren wurde auch keines der Versprochenen Fehler bzw Funktionen behoben und bis heute schreibe ich Regelmässig mit dem Interxt Support und versuche zu einer lösung zu kommen. Hier ein kleiner Auszug von Fehlern die bis heute bestehen. - Daten nicht syncroniersiert werden zwischen den 2 Rechnern und Online - Von mir zum Test gelöschte Ordner trotzdem auf allen Rechnern bestehen bleiben oder sogar auf einmal wieder 10minuten später erscheinen - Internxt ohne jeglichen Grund alle Ordner und Bilder einen Ordner verschiebt mit einer komplett Kryptischen benenneung (100Stellen aus Zahlen und Buchstaben) - Beim Versuch Online „Ordner“ oder „Dateien“ zu löschen wird mir ein Fehler angezeigt. Alle diese Fehler wurden per Screenshot und sogar per ScreenVideo mehrfach an den Support gesendet welcher mich immer weiter nur vertröstet und nichts unternimmt. Auch mein Wunsch der Rückerstattung des Beitrages wegen Nichteinhaltung der Versprochenen Leistung, wird ständig mit der Begründung abgelehnt das die 30Tage Rückgabefrist überschritten seien. Das diese 30Tage verstrichen weil ich durch den Support hingehalten oder das die Cloud nicht funktioniert, wird vom Support komplett abgelehnt. Deshalb werde ich weiterhin auf jeder möglichen Plattform meine Erfahrungen verbreiten, um andere davor zu schützen dieser Masche von INTERNXT nicht in Falle zu tappen.
