Art Center Canvas is a partner in our success. Pros This software is easy to use on the outward facing side for our students/customers who register for our classes; this has helped us secure additional income. Software has easily handled days with very high volume of sales. All of our annual registration launch days with Art Center Canvas have been successful. We have a fairly complicated product with many add-ons so we have appreciated and utilized their customization. Presentation of our classes is clear and has an attractive styling/design. Client records track both program registrations and donations which is ideal for development staff. Affordable pricing. New staff can quickly pick up how to use this software; no need to fly to a training center for a week of training. Art Center Canvas continues to add new features and functionality like gift certificates. Staff have always been friendly and willing to help. Cons Can't think of anything; certainly no software is 100% perfect so we simply submit work orders for items that need adjustment. Over that time ACC has added features and functionality that responded to our growing needs to reach our community of students, artists and ceramic enthusiasts. Our ability to provide input on new features and suggest improvements to streamline our operations has helped us to scale our operations with our growth. In 2018, we made the decision to improve our online shopping of ceramic artwork from nearly 150 artists across the U.S. We shopped around for software that could effectively process online gallery sales. ACC and their support team was our best option. We trust ACC's level of support and responsiveness to our center's needs. It was a major project with considerable team work among our web developers, ACC and staff. We are proud of our online showcase of the art and craft of clay with the seamless online processing from ACC. Pros I like having all of the data and account history in one place. We have multiple programs and enter point to our organization and it is great to see how individuals are interacting with our organization and easy to track. Cons The software has a few glitches when using a Mac computer but is continually improving. Cons I wish I could drill down to the transactions from the reports. Oregon Society of Artists is unique in the way it handles class and workshop registrations, exhibit entries, and instructor compensation, so it has been necessary for the software to be adapted to our needs by discovering/implementing many "unique-to-us" business rules. There have been moments along the way that were frustrating for us and for ACC's people, but ultimately we've found ACC staff and developers to be good partners who are responsive to our needs and willing to find solutions that really work for us. Pros Art Center Canvas (ACC) successfully addresses the complex needs of Oregon Society of Artists, with the most significant impact being the enormous reduction of daily staff hours spent on registrations for classes and workshops and entries for exhibits. Cons Depending upon a user's level of experience or comfort learning/navigating within new software, some may find the interface to be non-intuitive. In our office we've found that the learning curve can be quite steep for some key users. We are a 93-year-old regional arts nonprofit going through what is most likely the most critical growth period in our history.
