One central communication platform for all reservations. A lot less need for personal Excel files, and less risk of error that cost the company money.

Pros

During my time using Nitro for Incoming Tour Operators, I found it to be an indispensable tool that significantly streamlined our operations and enhanced our efficiency. The feature that stood out the most to me was its user-friendly interface. The automation of routine tasks was a game-changer, allowing us to focus more on providing personalized experiences for our clients rather than getting bogged down with administrative work.

Cons

Currently, there are a lot of developments from suppliers. It will be important to be able to keep up with integrations to create easy and competitive quotes.

### "Great experience with Nitro"

It has been excellent. There is little we do that it isn't able to cope with and our staff have embraced it fully.

Pros

We had spent a long time investigating software options for our business (ad-hoc, highly customised, group touring) and found little that suited our requirements, until we came across Nitro. It has proved to be a highly flexible, intuitive and user-friendly option for all aspects of group operations, from quotations to operations and (individual group) accounting. It has saved us time, standardised our procedures, and generally improved our accuracy and efficiency. We have also appreciated the Nitro team's flexibility in addressing any issues that have arisen and improvements we have suggested - they have been great to deal with.

Cons

It would be great if their internal email system for bookings could be integrated with Outlook. Sometimes staff find it easier to just send a regular email (which defeats the object somewhat).

Our overall experience with Nitro has been a very positive one. The system has made our work more efficient and our operations more smooth.

Pros

Nitro has been an extremely helpful tool to create, change and organise group and FIT packages for our clients replacing our manual and outdated quotation tools of Excel, word and pdfs. Through preloaded services and prices, creating quotes has become a much quicker and easier task and we have had much less errors in our pricing. We can be precise and concise with our offering to our clients. All offers are being locked for editing once sent, making it easy to follow the process of potential changes througout sometimes a succesion quotations while the package is built to the client's wishes.Nitro is user-friendly in regards to customising your database and prices, as well as in booking, confirming, amending or cancelling services.Being able to access Nitro from anywhere due to it being a web based system is a huge bonus when the office is closed and access to paperwork and emails is limited.We have found Nitro especially useful for tour series with multiple arrival dates where pre-booking services is essential. Also creating vouchers is easy with the bonus of being able to add extra information to it when needed.Nitro has been very helpful in developing the system to suit the clients' needs.

Cons

Nitro can be a bit sluggish when it comes to formatting email offers and creating itineraries and also when doing invoices. You can only download anything in pdf format meaning that when you have made changes, you will need to remember to download a new document onto your server.We have not found Nitro too useful for our FIT bookings so far as it is lacking features such as extracting transfer manifests and flight and ferry info and adding additional info for our clients. I am sure with more time to work on some test bookings within Nitro, a lot of these things could be overcome by us.The client invoice feature does need some getting used to and probably requires some further development in regards to late cancellations, and credit notes. We have however used it more and more during the season and it is extremely helpful despite some of its limitations. We have not yet used the supplier invoice side yet to register invoices and mark them as paid through Nitro.It would be helpful to be able to link services when booking the same supplier in a project, e.g. coach services required throughout a week. Currently, you either have to make multiple bookings or send a manual booking request and include the whole itinerary.

### "Life changer - work twice less, produce and earn twice more"

It's as simple as that - before NITRO, our quotes were made in excel. Contract rates and price conditions were extracted manually from our analog data base. Offers were written in word. To complete a standard 7 day all inclusive package tour, it took a good producer between 2-3 hours. In case the offer was accepted, it took additional 4-5 hours to make all bookings, save the and update the quotation. Give and take 8 hours for one ad-hoc group. Now, using NITRO, this process takes max. 2-3 hours.

Pros

Easy to use. Even for producers age 50+

Cons

Difficult to implement some financial / bookkeeping functions

We hope that long-term solutions will be found for our bigger issues, but in the meantime, the system is fully usable. Overall, the platform will be a great help to us once we have completed the learning process.

Pros

The system is an excellent tool for transitioning the office to a paperless workflow. With Nitro, all our know-how can be brought together in one place. It replaces traditional contact lists, and we can record all important information about our suppliers, which is very valuable for us as a tour operator. We are still learning to use the system, but in the long run it will save us a lot of time. Thanks to Nitro, the creation of vouchers and itineraries is already much faster. The deadlines and notifications are very useful, and when it comes to suppliers’ invoices, it’s a great help that the system automatically calculates the correct invoice amount. This feature is especially valuable for verifying invoices. It is also a great advantage that we can manually edit any entry, allowing us to easily correct possible mistakes.

Cons

One challenge is that some suppliers are still afraid to click on the link in our emails. We hope they will get used to it soon so we can communicate fully through Nitro. At the moment, this feature is missing from partner communication. Since partners’ replies do not appear in Nitro, messages can become less organized and some information may get lost. The text editor has limited options; a format painter and spell checker would be very useful. It would also help if we could edit templates more freely. In invoicing, it’s a pity that invoices cannot be edited afterward. They can be saved as an outline, but then editing must start from the beginning. Vouchers and invoices are available only in English, and translations sometimes get mixed up. Our biggest problem is that the system cannot yet handle optional services. When we want to suggest an alternative service in an offer, it would be important to include how much extra it costs or how much cheaper the alternative is.

### "Simple to use and constantly improving"

We’re a startup, and in the first few months we managed everything in Excel sheets. That worked for a while, but as the number of bookings and requests grew, it became hard to stay on top of everything. We were worried about missing deadlines, forgetting things, or making errors in the calculations. Nitro helped us get more organised. The reminders make it easy to stay on top of things, and we don’t have to worry about missing anything. We used a different system in a previous job, and now that we’ve chosen Nitro for our own company, we’re glad we did. They actually listen to what we need and are working on making the system better, not just saying they will.

Pros

Nitro is easy to use, and most of the system is pretty self-explanatory. Adding suppliers and agents takes no time. One of the biggest plus points is their customer service, they’re quick to respond, super helpful with training, and open to feedback. It’s also great to have a clear overview of all our bookings, requests, and especially deadlines, nothing gets forgotten.

Cons

There are still a few things missing. When we started, invoices couldn’t include VAT, which is important for us. They’re working on it, but it’s still not where we need it to be, so we end up creating invoices in another system, which means double work. We also use an itinerary creator for our offers, and while Nitro does have an export function, the integration doesn’t work properly, so we’re doing things twice. Reporting is another area that could use improvement, with some functions missing.

We see great potential to expand our cooperation further with new features, and we look forward to exploring new solutions together.

Pros

What we like most about Nitro for Incoming Tour Operators is its simplicity and clear specialization for the DMC business. Unlike many other systems that try to be “all-in-one” but often fall short, Nitro keeps the focus exactly where it should be – on the needs of incoming tour operators.

Cons

We would have liked to see more automatic connectivity with other systems, such as channel managers and a CRM that could also function offline. That said, these are more “wish list” features rather than major drawbacks, as overall the platform performs very well.

The system works perfectly for our team. It is very easy to use and new team members can use it independently after short training. We moved to the system after working with spreadsheets and it completely transformed the way we work - work is done much faster, there are way fewer mistakes and missed deadlines, it helps us to keep better track of suppliers and negotiate us better deals with suppliers. Software has enough functions that we even use it as a simple CRM tool. Nitro is also great for quotations, the prices are very accurate, we spend on average 40% less time on quotations then before and Nitro has some very effective budget monitoring functions which helped us to increase profitability of our tours. Highly recommended.

Pros

\- very easy to populate the data and make adjustments (for example move and adjust rates to 1 year forward) - software has many CRM related functions - excellent customer support - easy to book ad hoc groups as well as series (for restaurants, attractions and hotels) and stay on top of deadlines - great value for any small and mid-size company - can be used in different ways which will allow you for relatively flexible use -

Cons

\- sometimes there might be several clicks required(system ask for several confirmations, which in a way is very good)

I can genuinely say in one word "Easy". As we get more familiar with Nitro we find areas that can be improved but we see the Nitro team rolling out improvements all the time.

Pros

Real people from our industry, who understand our questions, design the program and answer the phone/email.

Cons

We used the downtime of covid to transition our business from office-based, paper-based and manual records of bookings to Nitro. We had no experience with cloud-based operating systems. Trying to pick the right one was the hardest thing for us. Once we picked it the next challenge was to bring staff along while (also facilitating remote working). With no income stream during covid this was a difficult decision to invest time and money - but one we are now VERY glad we made.

Because they ticked every box for our company and they appeared to us to be the most straightforward for our staff to use. Getting staff to buy into new systems is the hardest thing in my experience, it really wasn't a problem with Nitro.

Pros

Creating Itineraries is now faster and the actual Itineraries look a lot more professional now. Being able to send them as a link and a pdf is also a feature which is very useful.

Cons

Not being able to link with Sage and lack of some specific Report, which Nitro are working on to be fair!

It has been good and happy to use Nitro

Pros

Easy to use and make changes. You can do almost everything, create a package, quote for groups, FIT or incentive groups. Also it is easy to make the booking and follow up. Overall it is a great program to handle huge amount of both sales and bookings.

Cons

It can still be improved with child quote, itinerary design. It could have been better with project follow up.

It's very flexible and can meet various needs. You are in control of costs at every step of the itinerary creation

Cons

in case of commission to be paid to 3rd parties, the value should be included in the total of costs+mark-up, so to get immediately the real revenue

Not a problem, just the translations to the Czech language is a little time consuming. With Nitro, our offers look very professional and working with the projects is very easy and helpful.

Pros

We finally have an overview of the projects and are not afraid that important information will be forgotten. All colleagues can create, view and check projects even from home.

Cons

We aren't yet in a position, where we really need to change anything in Nitro. We are getting familiar with the program yet.
