I use this with different projects and I could able to save those various different endpoints as collections. also syncing with drive account is very important when we moving with different platforms and different computers. This is very useful application. Pros This software is easy to use and fast responding tool. This tool can use to check various kinds of API request types. It's very easy to use and takes the complexity out of the process. Cons In order to use Postman you need to understand a certain amount about how HTTP protocol works. I would still recommend it to any software developer or test automation engineer, even though there are some minor UX flaws. Pros It has many features and configuration options that enables you testing your API. You can create test suites and quickly share them with colleagues. It is cross-platform and free. Cons User experience in some cases is not ideal and it takes some time to achieve what you need. But the learning curve is steep, so after a while it shouldn't be a problem. Review Source Leonardo D. I use it every day at work and I am able to receive and update the collections very easily between my work colleagues. Pros It is very reliable. There is an option to choose a theme and change its interface. I like how easily you can organize your collection and choose the environment. To import and export using collections using URL is also very positive. Cons The support to graphQL is still in beta phase. It came in really handy and helpful. Cons I think they should consider a use case for product managers and operations team so that some bit of work can be done here on Postman only. It's not just something that you just stumble upon. I've started using Postman to help my work and understanding of the APIs that the LMS that I work for integrates with. APIs are a huge learning curve in general, and understanding who to leverage Postman is taking some time. As far as I know, it's the standard in the industry and the interface is very intuitive if you know what things refer to. Cons So far, none. I'm working to understand more about APIs in general and the ways in which they can help admins of our LMS reduce some of the time it takes them to carry out different tasks. Ignoring Postman's lack of ability to create and view tabs of data, I found the app to be solid. Pros The ease in getting started compared to most alternatives. The UI is thoughtfully designed. Cons The difficulty in seeing two tabs side by side. The testing suite having issues and not being as great as writing unit tests in comparison. Some hangs when selecting or making calls to the API. Pros 1) Postman is one of the best collaboration platform for API development with easy setup for any REST service environment. 2) Can easily import cURL code to setup a new request for any REST service. 3) Can easily set headers and different type of credentials needed like Basic Auth, Bearer token etc for any REST API testing. Cons 1) Sometimes have issues with https enabled REST APIs that needs SSL certificate validation. However, this may be resolved with additional settings and has a workaround by disabling SSL certs validation off from settings. I can do rapid backend development, test in postman, setup API calls, supplemented with the ENV setup, call parameters and then pass this collection to a team-mate with the click of a button. Cons I dont like that sometimes there are conflicts between different versions of the endpoints or documents and its hard to keep track of it, better UI can be done i feel like. It allows us to have great test coverage, run the tests and know quickly if anything has broken. We also use Postman for batch jobs. Pros Postman is easy to use for a novice. Allows us to have great test coverage of all aspects of our product and can setup batch jobs to run as well. Cons If there were multiple users in at a time changing the same collection and tests we did experience unexpected behaviour. Pros The best thing for me is the usability of it, you can easily save and organize your requests in packages and have quick access to everything. Cons Until now I haven't found anything significant, I would say that the browser extension could be a bit better since it is quite simpler when compared to the desktop version...this is quite expected.
