Before my one-year license expired, I downloaded the latest version and kept my license key. A year later, I decided to restart my tutorial business with a new domain. I installed the plugin, entered my valid license key—but it was rejected. I contacted support and was told I had to buy a new license because my old one was locked to my previous domain, which no longer exists. Unlike other plugins that let you transfer a license as long as it’s deactivated on the old site, Tutor LMS won’t allow this. Now I’m left with a dead license, a broken setup, and a stalled business. What looks like a one-year license is really a forced subscription—your site won't function unless you keep paying. It feels deceptive and unfair. I wouldn’t recommend Tutor LMS unless you’re okay with being locked in for good. Pros Tutor LMS seemed promising at first, but the restrictive license and lack of flexibility made it a disappointing choice.
