### "The Visual Components program brought us the opportunity to offer our clients a view of the product in real life."

May 29, 2024

5.0

Your program is top notch, very clear and intuitive. It significantly contributes to the successful completion of our business activities. We rate your program as very beneficial.

Pros

We also use virtual reality for this, which we have installed in a special presentation room.

Cons

When displaying roller conveyors, the image shakes (there are multiple identical elements together). It doesn't look good in front of the customer.

### "Integration of VC "

May 29, 2024

5.0

We are yet to get a positive outcome from the ongoing integration. We are still far from getting a fruitful outcome to sell the integrated suite

Pros

It is possible to do almost all robotic tasks without getting an answer NO

Cons

The robot initiation and steps of automation and also calibration is the most difficult part.

### "Spot on software for robot simulation and OLP "

May 30, 2024

4.0

Pros

We do a lot of research and education related to welding robots and other industrial robot applications. Simulation models can be built quickly and when we need to utilize offline programming different robot brands can be handled fluently. Creating welds and similar process paths with OLP is fast!

Cons

As a research and educational organisation it sometimes feels that response time to our cases differs from manufacturing industry. Also we got a few different kind of licenses and handling those has been confusing trough years.

### "Good feedback"

May 30, 2024

4.0

Pros

A strong reactivity to solve problems and the wish of developping new things.

Cons

When you have a training with VC, it's very simple to use but when you're alone with an another logic of programming and you want to be very precise, it's a little bit complicate.

### "Very nice modeling and simulation tool"

May 29, 2024

4.0

Pros

We use the tool to simulate new machines and their integration into production. It's also very nice to have it as a digital twin when using Kuka robots.

Cons

From time to time the software may crash and needs to be restarted

### "Depends what you need ;)"

May 29, 2024

4.0

Pros

Physics engine. We started using Visual Components with no physics, and introducing this feature was a great improvement. Ease of modification of existing components and creation of new ones, thanks to Python scripting.

Cons

Python 2.7 - very old and not supported version. No clear plan to upgrade to 3.xx. Raycast very computationally intensive, causing poor performance when many sensors used.

good, but some educational content gets out of date real fast

Pros

Easy to Use, The interface is super user-friendly with a huge Component Library: It comes with a massive library of pre-built components and models. It's a fantastic tool for learning and training. Students and newbies can get hands-on experience with virtual manufacturing processes and automation. Strong Community and Support also facilitates the learning

Cons

That you constantly need to update the license server when new realaeses comes out.

### "A Swedish review of Visual Components"

October 15, 2021

5.0

Very positive

Pros

The versatility of the software has been a pleasant surprise. It has a lot of functionality and you can program pretty much anything in Python. There is also a vibrant community that has made great addons.

Cons

Sometimes the CAD import requires some additional work, it often help to go through CAD softwares, but that takes a bit more time.

### "Getting to grips"

April 29, 2024

5.0

So far I'm happy with it and with more practice (and using it more often) I think it will be incredibly useful for our bidding process.

Pros

\- Easy to assemble initial layout of conveyor system - Extensive library of parts

Cons

\- Definitions of elements of the processing unclear to someone who is a beginner, e.g. 'container' for a conveyor capacity - Mouse inputs are slightly different to Solidworks so switching between them can be confusing

### "Strong DELFOI user and supporter"

August 10, 2023

5.0

Great, cant waiting for the upgrades and enhancements to come through. Always looking forward to new functionality.

Pros

The whole product is such a valuable addition to our digital manufacturing capability, allowing us to support our partners and member companies in the quest to improve and enhance their manufacturing capabilities.

Cons

The software needs to be used constantly to maintain proficiency. More online video examples of functionality. More online training videos.

### "Hopeful learner "

July 19, 2022

4.0

Excellent for the study and learning of virtual factory concept and 3D simulation of production lines. It's a virtual learning factory tool to enhance the knowledge of production systems and their analysis.

Pros

It's easy to use as the connection and simulation features are plug and play, quite many tutorial available for learning purpose.

Cons

Integration with some production planning and control software such as ERP software.

### "One of the best Virtual Engineering tools"

October 25, 2021

5.0

Pros

Good graphics capabilities, ease of use, huge components library

Cons

Manual operations (humans) can be improved: e.g. timings studies, ergonomics, etc. Moret PLC drivers/communication protocols can be added. DES features can be improved

### "Does less than we hoped"

August 20, 2019

2.0

Pros

Easily drop in Solidworks models and get a true sense of the layout vs. 2D AutoCAD. We purchased VR goggles so the user can be "dropped into" the cell to feel it out. We attended a training and it really helped us get up and going.

Cons

Animating the cell takes more time invested than the reward reaped from seeing it animated. The data we need is better gathered from a 2D simulation vs. a 3D so that it is more accurate/exact. Also the female operator wears heels, has an inch of midriff showing, and a large chest - it is weird.

### "Visual Components a great piece of software for evaluating factory improvements."

October 20, 2021

5.0

Was good to know about the software, but we really needed more specialist knowledge to make the most out of the investment.

Pros

Great integration with 3D modeling software and overall easy to use to get up and running.

Cons

To really get the most out of this software you really need to be using it every day as the number of variables and options are almost endless!

Reason for choosing Visual Components

Not Applicable

### "Regarding DES using VC"

July 19, 2022

4.0

Overall experience is good. But I feel the software could improve in terms of features that helps in simulation optimization of production flow

Pros

The 3D Visualization of manufacturing components are very realistic. Easy plug and play options with good library

Cons

Simulation analysis or optimization analysis is quite hard. No direct options.
