September 6, 2022 5.0 EH Manager is an extremely versatile product at a very affordable price. Pros This product does it all. EH Manager generates licensing documents and inspection reports for multiple programs from one cloud-based database. Multiple inspectors can update information in the database and it can be reviewed in real time by other staff members. Cons Some parts of my jurisdiction have poor cellular service. Connecting to the cloud-based database is difficult in those locations. Reason for choosing EH Manager This product was designed an tested by an environmental health professional. The program contained all the elements I was looking for. Plus it was extremely affordable compared to the other options I was looking at. Pros I love that everything we need for an establishment is in one service. Cons I wish there would be more options for multiple payments. Pros EH Manager is extremely easy to use both as a desktop program and on a mobile device in the field. It is laid out so you can easily move from one data entry screen to another. It is very user friendly. The program designer has been very receptive to adding new features and expanding on existing capabilities as ideas have come up. Cons I have been using the program for close to 2 years now and have not found anything negative with the program. Reason for choosing EH Manager Cost, ease of use and program flexibility. Data from our old database was uploaded into the new software, which made for little to no down time at all. Tech support has been excellent. A great choice for a single user managing both licensing and inspections. Pros The licensing database is extremely user friendly and my favorite part of the software. It combines licensing and inspection data into one program, which saves significant staff time and has increased efficiency. Has lead to better record keeping overall for our program, as there are sections within the software to store additional data. I like having the choice to either print reports out in the field or to automatically email these reports to the property owner/manager. Pros easy to write and store reports. iphone and ipad use is very well developed. Easy to use tools for capturing data for food, lodging, swimming pool, other types inspections. Amazon server is cheap to host the application when on a reserved instance subscription (like $12 month). Cons nothing. works great... keep on upgrading and improving the tool. It is very convenient to search what is due by county or individual. Overall, I think the software is easy to use. Cons The feature that I like least about this software is adding orders. Sometimes it is hard to find orders when a key word doesn't pull it up or it isn't bookmarked. I wish you could see a list of all of the orders and what they are without having to click through them all. Or possibly being able to make your own bookmarks would help. Pros This software is very easy to learn and use. I really enjoy the mobile feature. So nice to be able to do inspections on the phone/iPad and to look up licensing/contact information in the field. Report writing and data entry takes a fraction of the time in comparison to previous software systems I have used. EH manager has been an asset for our agency and allows for information to be shared seamlessly among our group. Cons I have not experienced anything negative thus far.
