Pros
I like the e-file feature and the fact I knew the program as well as I did.
I like the ease of using and they always update to whats new in the industry, The app and chat were game changers.
With tax slayer I am able to manage clients with ease and collect my service fees.
The software is easy to use, the price of the software is amazing we like that we can upload our existing clients into the data base. All an all it's a great product.
Cons
Support got worse and worse each year. When I got a new server in 2019, I realized just how much of an issue installing old version on a new computer was given how they redid the program in 2014.
They have to be gotten from support. The error rate is extremely high in the software and they are slow to fix errors and do not fix many of them.
I did finally leave and this year when I got a new server and tried installing I had even more problems than before and I only installed from 2016 forward.
After entering all of the deductions, it indicated that the adjusted gross was the same as the gross costing me thousands. They will not return my money, even though the program failed.

Cons: the tech error. at time it woud not collect signatures and returns belost in the cloud if they didint use the newest verison. many clients didnt know to use the new app and not previous year

Overall: Our overall experience with the software is great it has cut alot of unnecessary time for us we are definitely going to continue to use the software

Cons: There is nothing we find bad about the software it works great it's easy to use. It makes preparing taxes so easy
"I would never use again"
Overall: The error rate was too high to effectively run my business and keep the software. I had to go to another company. Support got worse and worse each year. When I got a new server in 2019, I realized just how much of an issue installing old version on a new computer was given how they redid the program in 2014. It took almost a month for me to get the software going in 2019. I work many hours on it and got such a sour taste in my mouth as a result I started looking at other software. I did finally leave and this year when I got a new server and tried installing I had even more problems than before and I only installed from 2016 forward. Taxslayer refused to help me on those years I paid for since I am not a current user for 2023. I told them I paid over a $1,000 for this software each of those years and they said they would not help me at all.

Cons: They only support 3 years of software and if your computer dies trying to install old software on a new computer is very difficult and you get no help from TaxSlayer. Once you leave no help on older years that you paid for. There are codes you need and if you do not get them in the year of purchase, you cannot get them after 3 years so those returns cannot be installed without them. They have to be gotten from support. The error rate is extremely high in the software and they are slow to fix errors and do not fix many of them.
"Amazing Tax Software"
Overall: My overall experience has been excellent.
Pros: I love everything about Tax Slayer Pro! The best thing is how quickly you can prepare the return as well as accurately. No extra boxes or scripts to read. Just taxes! My company has been using this software for over 4 years, and I don't see a change in the foreseeable future.
Cons: I can honestly say there isn't anything that I find to be a con with them.
"Best and easy to use software"
Overall: With tax slayer I am able to manage clients with ease and collect my service fees.
Pros: TSP is easy to use and on the eyes. You basically cant make a mistake with this unless you are being very careless.
Cons: I have no cons to add here. I have everything I need with TSP
