Cons

Not being able to make payment on Proposals after they have expired. But not a big deal.

has been a great addition for our company. It has made receiving catering orders incredibly user friendly for both the business and the customers. If any issue ever arises (which is rarely), the customer service response is almost immediate and always able to help resolve the issue.

Pros

The whole site is incredibly user friendly! Tutorials were barely needed to start using the site for catering orders.

Cons

I can't think of a con with . Everything works very well.

The delivery options are hard for us as they don't work with our third party courier well.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] are so quick to help and always have easy solutions to any problem, and are also very open to customers suggesting updates/new features.

Cons

The only feature I have ever wanted that wasn't able to provide was a way to close future months/large blocks of time on the calendar, but this is a highly specific need for our business! They are always as accommodating as they can be.

I love the is not Square. Square had a lot of limitations that didn't work for our catering company. At first HoneyCart didn't seem like a viable option because it didn't calculate sales tax based on delivery location as our state requires. When we met with them to discuss, they committed to adding that feature in time for our launch. Greatly appreciate their thoughtful approach and ingenuity.

Pros

It's easy to populate. Appreciate the flexibility for scheduling open/close hours and days. The customer service support is outstanding. \[sensitive content hidden\] are readily available for questions and open to ideas on how to improve the product.

Cons

Our wish list for improvements includes: - multiple images for products- gift cards- more customization for the appearance of the store front header- prioritized display of specialty menus (Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving) without customer having to chose a date

Love working with an independently owned company. They were willing to adapt for us.

At the beginning of covid, I lost all of my staff. I knew when things started again, I would need help in the office, but not be able to afford a full-time admin as we rebuild. My customers have expressed a desire to have immediate access to paperwork. We manually wrote up menus and invoices for them. Now they can create an order on their own and have instant gratification, or wait for me to do it with less turn-around time.

Pros

Ease of use, time-saving, educational video tutorials, EXCELLENT Customer Service, Ongoing development of new useful features, ability to compete with EZCater with the Amazon Gift Card Feature, rewards program...there is not much I don't love about this program. I have saved so much in labor costs, and \[Sensitive Content \] has been fantastic to work with. My customers love the program because they can log in and see their account history and pull past invoices for their accounting needs.

Cons

calendar-See previous comments. I really wish the program would allow me to charge different tax rates for different delivery addressess. I am required to pay the tax rate of the delivery address and they vary making taxes complicated.

Pros

has made my life so much easier. It's perfect for caterers who need to grow and need to have a simple online menu for their guests. The dashboard is easy to use as well. 5 out of 5. I also love that the \[sensitive content hidden\] take our recommendations and needs into consideration. With honeycart, we have been able to ramp up our catering and streamline our operations.

Cons

could use features that allow modifiers to have descriptors. Maybe an info icon that will describe what that modifier means. Once an order is confirmed, I wish there was the ability to change the name on the order.

Once an order is created, you can't change the Name of the person that placed the order. BUT, you can change the name of the Person receiving the order (i.e under the Delivery Address). Very good! My business model is different than most. The team at has been tweaking and streamlining the system to make it as easy as possible on my end while keeping the customer experience front of mind.

Pros

has made my life so much easier. My business is unique in that my family meals are delivered two days a week and the cutoff for ordering is Sunday at 11pm. \[sensitive content hidden\] worked to make the system work for my business. It’s been wonderful having the orders come in without hiccups

Cons

All fixed but sometimes I would ask a question and the answers were as if I was in the tech world. It’s not my strength.

is easy to use and was easy to deploy for our large team. The training required was minimal and the software works well for our use case.

Cons

still feels "bare-bones" at times. More advanced features like financial reporting, customized production reports/invoices, branding options, and design sometimes feel limited compared to the competition.

Pros

This software makes it very easy to obtain orders. I is the first thing I do everyday: Find new orders, review upcoming orders for the next day/ week / month. Advise other stores of impending orders.

Cons

Not much! Compared to my previous software, this is a breeze! Most of the improvements I think may be needed are there: you just have to work with admin to implement them.

The minute I found out about , I WANTED IT!   We were using ezCater on our website and receiving 30 orders a month from them. 90% of our business was repeat orders and half of them still went through ezCater. Outside of ezCater, we were spending too much time going back and forth via email for every order. Customers always had to wait for me to email or text them back... On top of feeling overwhelmed from wearing too many hats in the business, it killed me knowing we had to share our profits with ezCater even though it was OUR FOOD customers loved, and all they did was process the order. Now I’m spending less time processing orders, and customers love how easy it is to place an order. No more back and forth via email. They simply go to our website, browse the menu and place their order-- I receive, confirm and print. DONE!  I love how I can make instant changes and updates to my menus without having to email someone to do it and waiting for days. I’m 100% in charge of my menu, my prices and order volume.  But the BEST part is... now we get to keep all the profits from our return business! HoneyCart really is the best investment you can make. The cost can be made back in as little as one order. So no more needing to give up any commission to third parties for EACH order. 

Pros

I love that I'm in control 100% of the time.

Cons

At first I found it difficult to place an order (when running a test order) because I couldn't scroll properly through the menu. However, that issue was quickly fixed and I can now scroll through my menu easily.

Overall we like how quickly we were able to get the system up and running. It was also great that we were able to customize the system to work for the way that we needed to pivot our business during the pandemic.

Pros

We like that the customer interface has a similar layout to other online ordering platforms that customers may be used to using.

Cons

The only thing that I can think of is the fact that the system requires that our customers select a time for pick up and a time for serving. This can cause a bit of confusion internally when two times are listed on the reports. Also, the reports that we have to use for production are a bit cumbersome for the kitchen to use.

Only used a few months so far, the biggest change is that is a more efficient way to accepting catering order on the website from our customers directly , instead of taking long phone calls. Save time for both sides.
