### "A great solution for resource planning & profitability analysis in a 55+ person development studio "

Overall, we've been very happy with the service we received and with the product itself. It provides great visibility into our resourcing, which helps with planning and hiring as we grow our business. We use a different tool for time tracking and look forward to testing their API to be able to import this data.

Pros

Very intuitive and easy to begin using. The ui is modern, and it took us very little time to get up and running.

Cons

It's a bit confusing to know exactly what impacts the reporting metrics, but that is partly just us learning the software, vs. a shortcoming in the product. It would help if the support documentation was more detailed so can look up more things ourselves.

### "Awesome tool, with a great support team"

Our studio greatly appreciated the care the GlassFactory team took to allow our team to design, create and ultimately implement new processes and procedures. Through every step of the process, their team assisted and answered all of our questions, with a smile!

Pros

The look and feel of the tool were fun to use. I appreciated the ease of which we could see the project detail laid out. As well as how simple it was to add or remove users to project streams. The clear visibility of time booked to work, as well as showing when teams are overworked was also pivotal. I also really appreciated the reporting sections, as these took the data I currently run manually and calculated a running tally -- DAILY!

Cons

Ultimately, we ended up not going with GlassFactory, largely due to the fact that the way we track our project work didn't directly line up with how GlassFactory was setup. We wanted to have more ability to run multi-nationally and had a large list of features that were not on the list.

### "A Tool Build for Agency that never made it out of MVP"

I wanted to like this product. The original team behind it seemed to have such great vision, but after about a year of using it, it became clear that this was tailored to specific set of users (probably a big agency) and not us. We eventually switched back to Harvest based on it's familiarity, better user interfaces, better desktop/mobile apps and the fact that we could better enter subcontractor invoices as expenses against budgets (which wasnt perfect but at least related these costs against our total budget).

Pros

The vision for this product was great. We loved that you could integrate time tracking and scheduling in a way that directly aligned with the way agencies work. We use Quickbooks to invoice, and there was a pretty good integration though we didnt actually use the GF templates.

Cons

So many bugs early on. This really soured us on our migration from Harvest as we were never able to resolve data discrepencies even after engaging the GF team. This meant that our historical veiw was incomplete Also, we expected a way to account for sub-contracting on a non-fixed basis (basically, using contractors but not a single freelancer). There was no way to properly account for this which was a key feature we expected. Lastly, time entry was cumbersome. The desktop app never worked, there was no mobile app, and the UI for time entry overall was sluggish.

Pros

does what i need it to do. a simple time tracking platform for the every day employee.

Cons

\- sometimes seems to be slow to sync up with changes made - the way to find the exact time bucket isn't as intuitive as it can be (hidden behind drop downs)

Pros

Organization of data is logical and clear. The tool does a great job of allowing for setup and management of the right pieces of information. Reporting options and export options are good.

Cons

API has some limitations that aren't yet addressed, looking to be able to do more input/transfer of data directly from other systems.

### "Good product with room to grow"

This solves my resourcing needs, but not my project planning needs. If it did both it would likely be used in all digital design and development agencies ww.

Pros

Its easy to manage team resourcing for big teams of people across multiple projects.

Cons

I would like to be able to export plan reports and include activities. Drag and drop feature for resource time booking would be very useful.

### "Slow, clunky, bad usability"

It's better than what we had but it's far from perfect

Pros

It's better than what we had before, but that was awful

Cons

It's really slow, the interface is confusing, the time report vs Time sheet functionality is not clear. The new Timesheet screen is way worse than the old one. The view of what's incoming per team is very hard to navigate to, the menus on the left hand side are badly organised and in need of reworking.

\- Easy to log time and associate your time with projects that you're working on - Entering PTO is super clear - Able to easily create projects to put time against

Cons

\- Since I use the software weekly I don't have many negatives!
