It is very user friendly and I was able to set up our account fairly quickly. Reviewing time off balances is easy and the integration with Google Workspace for calendar and apps makes it very easy to access. We are a small team so we pay for more users than we are using, but the cost is still worth removing the admin burden from our staff. I would definitley reccommend this software as it is so user friendly and easy to undertand and use. Pros Very user friendly and easy to use. I like having the oprion of usin different versions of what calender I perfer to use. Cons When you purchase the lower cost version you can't use the hourly add on unless you pay extra. It makes payroll tracking a lot easier when we can easily click on each user. Pros It's very easy to use. Both for the user and the administrator. I also really like the fact that emails can be sent to let everyone know who will be out for the week. Cons I would like to be able to customize hours for employees. Not everyone works an 8 hour day, so to be able to adjust for different hours would be great. The reason we chose this product is because it integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365 and helps our management team manage employee leaves straight from the software we use everyday. Human Resources Consumer Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Thankful that we found Vacation Tracker" December 20, 2023 5.0 Overall, we are happy with the product for the cost, the UI, and the ease of use. The VT team is nice and pretty easy to work with but the actual process of merging our data was a nightmare. I wish there was an easier way - honestly we were ready to pay VT for this service because our tiny team didn't have enough hours in the day to do it ourselves. We ended up outsourcing this task to another team with more bandwidth. I'd just suggest that VT include this as part of the pricing to onboard with the platform. Pros The simplicity of the platform and the ease of setting it up was great. We also love the Slack integration - this was huge for our global company. Cons The merging of data was excruciating. It was NOT an easy process and required many hours to get the data exactly perfect for VT to be able to merge. This was really really difficult for our small HR team as we were in the midst of a hiring surge and nobody had the capacity to do this incredibly time consuming data gathering. The report from our old PTO tracker did not work for the needs of VT so someone had to go through a years worth of PTO/Sick Time, etc. for 50+ employees one by one. This is a big deal since we all spend most of our day with Slack open, so not having to worry about another app or website is nice. We also love the ability to create custom types of time off, since our company has many different categories of time off that all have different allotments. Cons My only complaint would be that I wish the Vacation Tracker website was a little bit more robust. Sometimes I find it a little TOO simple. However, I think it's a double edged sword because I really do love the simplicity of its layout. " April 22, 2024 5.0 Pros Vacation Tracker is simple to use, and whenever we had an issue, customer service was INCREDIBLE about addressing our issues quickly. Cons I wish the plans were more customizable. For example, our team needs the "Time Off in Lieu" feature for about half our staff (6 people). Unfortunately, we would have to upgrade all the way to Pro in order to get this feature. We'd be willing to pay a little bit more for just this one feature, but if we have to go all the way to pro, we can forgo the upgrade and work around this one issue. It offers great visibility and accountability for leave taken. They are always updating it and the support has been very responsive. Pros Vacation Tracker has excellent integration with Slack and Google Calendar, with most leave requests and approvals done through Slack. The support team is extremely responsive and has been able to quickly solve any questions or issues we had with the app. The app itself is very easy to navigate and mostly self-explanatory. The leave policies, locations and approval flow are quite customisable and extremely user friendly. The leave accrual functionality has been a fantastic addition, and allowances can be adjusted by individual.
