### "Vacation Tracker is decent, but could be much better."

Pros

I like that it's way more convenient than using spreadsheets to keep track of people's days off.

Cons

Creating teams/departments is a bit complicated. Also, it lacks flexibility - it doesn't matter when an employee has started, the app doesn't calculate the actual vacation days. E.g. if someone starts in September, they shouldn't have the same amount of paid days off as employees who've started in January.

Pros

Easy to request and approve vacations. Slack integration. Vacation days tracking

Cons

Accrual only on advanced plan. As a seed stage startup, we cannot spend on a more advanced plan right now. So I have to separately figure out how to track accrual and that's a pain

We’re super happy with the app, as it has made leave monitoring super easy, and everyone is aware of planned vacations on time which makes things a lot easier.

Pros

It really helps monitor absences across multiple locations + really easy to use! Slack bot is by far our most used feature, as it makes booking leaves super fast.

Cons

No complaints! Their customer support is great, and they respond quickly to any inquiries we have.

I have had a great experience using this tracker. It offered an easy solution for our employee who could not use our traditional time off tracking system.

Pros

The set up was simple and straight forward. The system can be customized and updated easily. Support was quick and explained how to make changes in a simple way.

Cons

I wish the time off would appear in hours instead of days.

I've been very happy with Vacation Tracker. IT beats using a spreadsheet for PTO and the CS team has always been supe responsive and super helpful!

Pros

I like the ease of use, and how easy it is to get help when something is going wrong!

Cons

No Cons so far. It wasn't syncing with my connected product Slack, but that's been fixed

Vacation Tracker has been very helpful in keeping track of the time off ....and supervisors knowing who had requested time off and who is off this week.

Pros

The vacation tracker is easy for the people to input their vacation days.

Cons

Not able to automatically add sick days and have them counted.

We already used Slack and it was integrated with Slack.

Pros

How easy is to request, edit or cancel a leave. That it can be requested via chat, using my cell phone or website.

Cons

That I cannot enter specific times. The times are already set up by the app.

Pros

That we are able to track our vacation and time off requests from all over the world, in Slack easily. The setup is also pretty straightforward and easy to understand and implement.

So much easier than previous system, which had everyone place their holidays in a spreadsheet and then update a shared calendar with who was taking time off.

Pros

It's so much easier to book holidays. I can see how much time I have left available, and when booking can also see who else from my team has booked that time off.

Nothing - I've not seen any issues yet.

This was implemented within a couple of hours and we've been very happy that we solved this problem since.

Pros

It's absolutely great that this works as an "add-on" within Slack. The entire process of asking time-off is handled in a very simple way. And our team can keep track of how many days they have left.

Cons

Not for now. It does exactly what we want at a fair price.

Ease of implementing the software. The integration with Google is key for us.

No accrual system. We have to go back in and manually upgrade each employees vacation each year.
