Developer Computer Software Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Very useful, does exactly what it says" August 23, 2019 5.0 I sync my personal calendar to my work calendar, so it prevents people I work from scheduling time with me when I'm not available due to personal obligations. Before SyncThemCalendars, I would have to create an extra event in my work calendar for each personal event that happen to intersect with work hours. Now I don't have to think about it. Thanks STC! Pros \- Easy to set up - It does exactly what it says - Set and forget. I did it once and never had to mess with it again. Cons I wish there was a way to distinguish between "organic" events, and events that were synced, so I'd know what comes from what calendar. But even without this, it's still god damn useful. " March 3, 2020 4.0 Fantastic Pros We have several gmail accounts with different clients and booking meetings used to be a chore- I either had to update everything on each calendar separately (time wasting) or risk being double booked. This software automated that for me in a way that was better than IFTT and Zapier. Cons Really not a whole lot to it, but there are occasional bugs. Wish that there were a little more enterprise/business account management options. November 16, 2022 4.0 Pros SyncThemCalendars is a service that silently makes scheduling and managing my calendars easier every single day. After initial setup (see cons) it automatically copies events from one calendar to another like clockwork. This ensures that I never get 'double booked' into a meeting when I have something scheduled on different calendars. Cons The setup is clunky and a bit frustrating. Initially, during setup, I experienced a few errors that were hard to understand and required assistance from customer support. With support, we resolved the issues, and they haven't reappeared. The biggest con with this software is the price and functionality.I think it is expensive for basic syncing functionality - but I haven't found an alternative so I will continue to subscribe. Functionality is fairly limited, but the functionality it does have is incredibly reliable. Product development seems fairly slow, so I would not count on new features being added regularly. CTO Computer Software Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Sync's my personal and work calendar exactly as I needed" March 2, 2020 5.0 Pros This software is simple, there is only a single dashboard page, but that is all that is needed. The software syncs between a number of different calendars with the only limitation being 5 syncs in one account. A two-way sync can be done if you set up a separate sync in both directions. It also makes it simple to decide which event fields to sync from each calendar and I use the colors so that it is quick to tell which calendar the synced even came from. Cons This software works great, insomuch as that I didn't need to make any changes to the configuration for a really long time. The downside to that was I could no longer remember the website URL where I needed to go to edit the settings. Switched from [Google Cloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/268690/Google-Cloud-Platform/) I tried doing this sync using custom code in a Google Apps Script, but it was a lot of work and I still didn't have it working perfectly. I can add something to either of my calendars and feel confident it will appear on the other. Pros As a consultant (prior to my current role) I had a business calendar, a personal calendar, and often one or more calendars for clients. Now I'm down to 2 (personal and business), thankfully, but keeping the two calendars in sync is still a huge headache and can often trip me up. SyncThemCalendars fully erases this issue, making me a more productive and efficient professional. Cons Hmm. Nothing I didn't like. I mostly set it and forget it. But I don't spend much time confirming all is well. I'd certainly recommend if your use case justifies it. Reasonable price, easy setup and a utility cloud service that if needed it is great there is a solid paid option out there! Pros I use this for simply keeping thee of my team members personal and professional calendars in sync. Just a simple straight across 2-way sync. I appreciated the quick response and helpful spirit that the developer gave when I ran into a snag upon setup (a snag I created in a sense by not setting it up best the first time around). Cons I just noticed that one my my events are not syncing correctly today. I'll have to reach out to support and ask what happened to that one event of today. The rest seem to be fine. The event seemed to sync but the title of the event did not transfer correctly. The fact that I can't easily sync my calendars natively was a bit upsetting to me, but I understand. This app did exactly what I wanted without having to write my own synchronization application, making it totally worth it's price. Cons Nothing in particular. The one thing I would like is access to an independent review of the software, or some form of audit that can be used to alleviate concerns by corporate users who may not be comfortable with this application having access to their internal calendars (for GSuite users). Before I had to manually copy events between calendars to keep from being double booked. Now it just happens automatically and I have no more meeting conflicts. Pros I am a member of several organizations that use different calendars. I searched it for years for a solution to sync my calendars. This is the only solution I have found that works and it beats all expectations. The sync is accurate and fast - usually within a few seconds. Cons If you have an excessive amount of calendars beyond the default number allowed costs can start to add up quickly, but the price is not unreasonable. Pros Not only can you sync calendars together, which is handy enough, but you can transform data at the same time. So you could show the title of the event, but not the location or the details, for instance, or you could just rename all appointments "Private Appointment". I use this for ensuring my team can access my personal calendar on my work calendar, but with only the details I want specified. I also use it for availability so tools like calendly.com work properly. Cons It doesn't always work 100%, but I'd say 99%. I use it for blocking off availability, so this isn't a big deal at all for me. I would also love more transformation abilities such as the ability to prefix something not just rename it. If it could work kind of like Zapier Formatting options, that would be awesome (maybe not that powerful!) Partner Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Only way to manage multiple calendars" November 14, 2022 5.0 Pros I got SyncThemCalendars (STC) when I was working at a fund and was managing projects (and emails / calendars) across multiple companies. STC is the best and only option I've found for getting all necessary info on one calendar, to be used with something like Calendly so you can make sure you're not overbooking between projects.I'd highly recommend to consultants, fund managers, or people managing side projects in addition to their core work. Cons There is nothing I don't like about SyncThemCalendars. It just works, so I don't have to think about it. Magic. Pros The syncing is flawless and gives me good control over how I want events to show up across multiple calendars. Cons It's limited to only Google-based calendars. It'd be so lovely to sync one-way-sync iCal feeds and multi-way sync to Office 365. This has limited it's usefulness to friends or colleagues.Also, I wish the syncing rules were just easier to do bi-directional sync as a single step.
