single sign-on is key

Pros

We have a standard setup, but you can also add additional products on your home screen. This allows a single sign on for our primary portal, the community, e-mail, LMS, directory, etc.

Cons

Resetting your password is a pain, mostly because of the number of steps you have to go through to get to the right screen. It's not intuitive, and if you're in any of your sub-programs, you have to remember to go all the way back to the top login level.

We have our communities on Jive. They are ok but I feel they could refine some features. We have a robust community and it manages it well.

Pros

Relatively easy to use. Good layout and easy to customize.

Cons

Some features seem like they can be refined. If I'm reading posts it's hard to see which ones I've read.

### "Quirky and not intuitive user interface"

Cons

Clunky, quirky, user interface navigation is really not intuitive. Hard to download files, hard to move a file, elements are named differently so a "folder" is a "category" and you can not nest them. "Move" does not move a file in a space only to other spaces. Most users try it then quit due to high learning curve and quirkiness.

### "Great For Connection With Other Co-Workers, But Has Its Faults"

Jive is a great tool for social collaboration. I love using it to communicate with other co-workers in the organization. However, it has its faults. It is not great for managing documents, and I wish there was a way to force co-workers to subscribe to the space.

Pros

Jive can be customized to just about any look and feel you want in order to engage your audience. I like the tagging and categorization features, as well as the rotating carousel widget to feature important spaces or content.

Cons

It is rather easy for there to be too much content, and it's not always easy to find and update out-of-date content.

I am CEO (owner) of a creative solutions development and process management company. Our primary phone service is hand held. JIVE provides continuity in our professional communications providing consistent client communication 24 x 7.

Pros

Quick and easy contract (service) purchase and install. Reasonable pricing cost. Multiple phone equipment options (purchased separately with Jive) for multiple office locations. Desktop equipment is excellent with perfect connectivity and sound quality. Any questions we have raised are answered professionally and quickly.

Cons

It seems odd to have desktop phones after 100 percent service via individual hand held phones. JIVE, however, solves that issue.

Pros

The file sharing and types of file you can upload is good, for example pdf files can be viewed directly in the page without downloading it, the control of groups and content it can be created per section and security for it is good.

Cons

The mobile app is not friendly, comparing it with other major players there are lots of missing features, is not easy to use sometimes. I did not like it very much.

Pros

Basic functionality is acceptable. Weekly digest a good feature if it works.

Cons

Customer support horrendous!! You are forced to enter a support ticket , whereby some tech decides if they think your issue is critical or not then you hear back from a rep a week later and they offer to schedule an appointment to discuss your issue a week later.

Pros

Enabled use away from the office and made it easy to be able to call between staff members. Forwarding phones at click of a button

Cons

Reporting features werent fantastic on call duration and to what numbers.. The remote phone feature worked great sometimes and not on others

Search wasn't useful, hard to find info in it. Interface is a little confusing and could be frustrating.

Pros

Jive is a very good intranet solution. It has a lot of customizations and options for LDAP and advanced user sync. This makes auto provisioning on new users based on AD/SSO easy. The customization options gives you high level of flexibility. The tiles provided are good

Cons

The extensions and plugins needs to improve. Tile customization in vanilla is very less. The complicated architecture of the product makes it difficult to configure. Limited access to company administrators on the hosted and cloud models

I love Jive as its functionality is extensive. It's highly customisable, able to make it look really good from a creative perspective and is easy to use (if you are a social platform person - if you're an email only person, you'll struggle). Good analytics too. We use it extensively for our own business and it has virtually eliminated the need for internal emails. And, we use if for keeping connected with our customers and providing them with information and guidance. I personally love Jive and deeply passionate about its use.

I enjoy using Jive at my company. I find all the functionalities and features to be very welcoming, easy to use, and not cumbersome. Also, I feel if there is something we want to do, it is possible. There is not a lot of limitations, which makes it a great fit for my company. Also enjoy the ability to use social tools inside the program. Makes it quite appealing to millenials!

The UX needed a little bit of revamping. I prefer my apps to be stupid simple. I felt this app was a little more smarter than I wanted.
