Overall, MaidCentral has been a good move for my business. It has helped my team work smarter, use data better, and think about growth in a new way. The biggest challenges have been the learning curve, mobile app limits, walkthrough flow, and a few bugs. Even with that, I still feel positive about the software and would not go back to our old system.

Pros

We switched from Jobber to Maidcentral and I would not consider going back. This software is a game changer to my business. This software and the MC team classes has helped my team and myself think about how to run the business differently. This is my seventh year in business and MC has helped us get away from bad operating habits. This is why the value for money is worth it to me. Jobber was a lot cheaper, but there are hidden fees that you can't even see, and at least paystri/card point allows us to pass credit card surcharges onto our clients whereas with Jobber we didn't even get an option. I look forward to what the future has in store for Busted Knuckles Cleaning. I was surviving for 6 years now it's time to scale. Reports: The reports and dashboard help manage the business with data and logic and make decisions faster. The scheduling is fairly easy. We can glance at team status and routing which helps us stay on top of our day.

Cons

Learning curve, especially during onboarding because the system has a lot in it. As an owner, I would have liked a detailed action plan for before go-live, during the transition, and after launch. That would have helped ease my anxiety and made the process feel clearer. Mobile app limitation, there is not an office only app. There is only a technician app. This is not feasible for walkthroughs. Walkthroughs are part of our system flow and there doesn't seem to be a system or flow pattern for the walkthrough process. I understand there is an update coming at the end of March 2026. I hope this addressed that issue. Bugs, there are some issues like the sales tax cross over for multiple city sales tax issues from MC to QB.

Didn't offer the support/conferences like Maid Central did. Maid Central is for professional, high end cleaning companies. ZenMaid feels more like solo cleaners.

Onboarding was top-tier. Making such a big change is intimidating, but our MC specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\] , was highly equipped, capable, professional, and personable. If he didn't know the answer to a question, which was rare, he sought the answer quickly. Maid Central's payroll calculating and sales tax reporting processing through Quickbooks alone have saved HOURS per week in admin time. Our team loves the made-for-maid services features, including client details - making their experience a more informed one - which increases their confidence and competency. Although we're looking forward to the soon-coming modernization, we're happy with our decision to switch to MC from Jobber and would do it again. If we were a larger team, this could have been a bumpier move, so I am glad we didn't delay and can only scale faster from here now that we're using the right tool.

Pros

Client scheduling, Route management, and payroll processing were our priorities - and are solved in Maid Central. We're saving so much time with the functions Maid Central automates and calculates! We've tried several other CRM's, most recently spending several years on Jobber, trying to make it work - but these gaps were pain points that are now solved. The onboarding 1:1 customer support provided by \[sensitive content hidden\] was invaluable.

Cons

Maid Central's user experience with desktop site mapping feels disjointed in a few key areas, requiring quite a bit of site-map memorization. For example, different schedule and calendar types are split under various tabs/headers (Employee/Customer/Reports). A single dropdown with all available schedule views would be ideal. Lack of access to admin functions from mobile devices required a workaround and equipment purchase for in-field management which feels behind the times. Hopefully, updates to the mobile experience is a soon-coming priority as more and more of us work remotely and desire/require flexibility and freedom from a fixed desktop computer.

We recently switched to MaidCentral, and it has been one of the best business decisions we've made. Our old software had become a major bottleneck in our operation. Since moving to MaidCentral, we've streamlined our invoicing, credit card processing, timesheets, and many of the daily administrative tasks that used to take hours every week. The amount of time we've saved has been incredible. The system is extremely organized and has made managing our schedules much easier. We now schedule over \*\*600 cleaning jobs per month\*\*, and MaidCentral has given us the tools to keep everything running smoothly. What has impressed us the most, though, is the onboarding and customer support. It has been, without question, the best customer service experience we've ever had with any software company. The implementation team was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. Yes, MaidCentral costs more than some other platforms, but the increased efficiency more than offsets the additional cost. The time savings alone have reduced labor hours in the office, improved accuracy, and ultimately saved us money. If you're a cleaning company considering making the switch, I highly recommend MaidCentral. It's a premium product with premium support, and it's been well worth the investment for our business.

Invoicing, credit cards, timesheets, and automated emails save hours and keep us organized. Being able to create tickets for future job reminders.

Cons

One feature I miss from our previous software is the ability to view every employee's schedule for the entire week on a single screen. Being able to scroll through the week and see everyone's availability made it much faster to identify scheduling opportunities and solve conflicts. With MaidCentral, we're learning to rely more on the Master Schedule. While it's different from what we're accustomed to, I think it's mostly a matter of retraining our scheduling process. As we become more familiar with the system, I expect it will help us become even more efficient.

Sara was amazing during the on-boarding process. There was a lot to learn in a short period but overall the process was smooth. Any question I had was answered almost immediately. Night and day compared to my last CRM.

Pros

Everything. Absolutely everything. This software does so much more than I could have ever imagined. Weve been live for 3 weeks now and were already seeing higher sales.

Cons

If I had to say there was a con it would be the price. But it is cheaper than other CRMs that do less and they dont bill per user like the others.

While Jobber and HCP are great, MaidCentral is designed for maid services. The way Jobber and HCP billed also turned me off. We would have at least 4 accounts we would have to pay monthly for for people that don't bring in money. That would be a big pill to swallow.

Because of this, we’ve been able to increase our revenue without increasing our workload – we’re making more money while doing the same amount of work. ### "Maid Central Totally Simplified our Cleaning Business"

Overall Maid Central has helped me know how my business is doing a lot easier than before, since they have numerous reports I can pull.

Pros

It has totally simplified the way we run our business. We no longer have to type invoices, it automatically creates invoices for us at the push of a button and charges any credit cards we have on file, and sends paid invoice to the clients. This has significantly streamlined the Residential Cleaning part of our business. We still have some Commercial and Construction Cleaning clients that pay by check, but it still makes their invoices and sends to them at a push of a button. Scheduling jobs is easier also... and my favorite feature is the "Master Schedule" which is set up in a unique way that helps us understand exactly what recurring openings we still need to fill. And because we can color code by zipcodes we make some super efficient schedules now. It also collects our payroll information and then we just print a spreadsheet each week and enter the numbers staight into our payroll provider. Easy. :)

Cons

Would really like it if the app was as good as the webversion... hopefully that is coming soon. Other than that, I really can't think of anything else I would change.

I think it is going to be good for my business. Once I got over my resistance to change, things went well and I enjoy using it. I think Maid Central has a good approach: 8 training sessions, weekly 1:1 sessions with your success coach, and a Friday Q & A. The 1:1 sessions with my Success Coach were the most beneficial to me in the process.

Pros

I like being able to have the technicians involved. They like it better than filling out manual route logs. I like the Quoting/booking system. On the Job Scheduler, I like the ease of moving customers/teams/times around. My Success Coach, \[sensitive content hidden\] , was excellent. She was knowledgeable, patient, and had a great approach to teaching.

Cons

Too much customer involvement. There are times I don't want them to know what time we are getting to their house or how long we have spent there. It's pricey.

Pros

Very valuable platform, which eliminated many costs of different platforms of the past. Onboarding is excellent. The features are all designed for the cleaning industry. Very intuitive to use. We enjoy it.

There is no gift card option. My understanding is that this feature will come soon. This is the only thing.

### "A Full Orbed, Professional Program For Managing Your Cleaning Company"

Overall our experience has been very positive. I feel like there might be some ways to make things a bit more user friendly in the interfacing, and in the onboarding process. Still, MC is replacing several programs for us, and is doing more automated heavy lifting than before. It allowed us to trim out an extra position in our office staff when COVID tightened our budget, without making us feel the crunch of a missing dispatcher.

Pros

Being able to have my teams' daily job status, reviews, routing and more at a glance is incredibly valuable. MC makes it incredibly easy to keep a pulse on what's going on in the field without having to track teams down through phone calls. It also makes it incredibly easy to sort out potential routing issues ahead of time at a quick glance. And, of course, the customer service is incredible, with the team often getting back to us within an hour or so in the chat window. Our teams were able to learn to use the team facing side very quickly.

Cons

Getting started is a bit complex, especially if you are battling long term bad habits in the way information was kept before. And, while the customer service is ace, and there are loads of videos and help documents available, it can be difficult to tech out some problems that may crop up. For example, we still seem to be having issues with automated service reminders, even though we have followed all of the steps in the documentation. Some aspects of the UI are not immediately intuitive, which can be especially difficult to explain to others when you are the token millennial in the office. Spanish modes would be INCREDIBLY helpful, as I know we are not the only cleaning company with a large segment of people with English as their second language.

Very positive. Help is almost always available. I know the team works hard and smart to make MaidCentral the best software for the maid service industry.

Pros

Great features: quoting tool online and in-house; scheduling is a breeze; I have never seen anything like their master schedule which shows four-week blocks to easily see where you have a recurring opening. Sending client reminders is super easy via text or email or both. Customer feedback via scorecards helps to track quality. Our cleaning professionals love the app. No more going to the wrong address. Quality has improved due to the well -designed work order. One of the things we love the most is the reports. You can pretty much find any number you want. Many of the reports are customizable. Best is weekly meetings to discuss the software and continuous improvement/refinement.

Cons

Because the software is so robust it takes awhile to learn everything. When I switched to MaidCentral I looked at many other companies and nothing came close to MaidCentral.

I absolutely love MaidCentral. All the automations it provides and how easy it is for our employees to use is extremely useful. No more printing route sheets or directions to homes.

Pros

I love all the reports that the software has easily available and the automations such as email reminders and on the way texts.

Loading long reports does sometimes can take a while.

Pros

It’s growing as I grow! My field staff find it very user friendly. Overall it does save my office staff time with their day to day tasks.

Cons

The price! I find it is very expensive since we’re the ones helping to develop this software. It’s hard to keep up with the week to week changes.

The system has so much information so it will take time to learn everything but each day I find a solution to a problem or a new feature to help maintain our business.

Pros

The amount of information available from scheduling, customer & employee portals, payments, invoicing etc. The system will allow us to be more efficient and focus more ways to be more profitable. The training and onboarding coaches we're great. The system has so much information and set up that it takes a lot to get up and running.

Cons

For us the payroll was a challenge only because we had to switch pay structure which in turn increased our payroll costs. I don't think that's reflective of MC. They we're so good at making adjustments to help us stay compliant in our state.

Their onboarding process is unmatched. You will get the same rep to help train you twice a week and will stay with you as long as you need to get everything up and running. Having the same person who knows and manages your account is such a blessing!

Pros

It has a report for everything and is very customizable. It has a big learning curve, but once you make it everything runs very well. It also comes preloaded with all sorts of templates and pre-written material that is fantastic!

Ajia has totally transformed our approach to consistency (she’s like a consistency guru), while Gregg keeps us on track day-to-day, helping us fine-tune every new insight we pick up. Yodit? She’s our go-to for anything complex and always has a smile to go with it. Victoria, the walking encyclopedia, was essential in getting us set up from the start, and \[sensitive content hidden\] keeps us on point with data and reports—he’s all business with no bones about it. \[sensitive content hidden\] tells it like it is, and Tom? Well, he’s just hilarious and adds some much-needed humor to the mix. The best part? My experience with MaidCentral couldn't have been better!

Pros

Aside from having a ton of data and reports available, what I've enjoyed the most is the support available. MaidCentral has so many support avenues available. Its clear that the MaidCentral team actually cares about the success of our business with the numerous tools and support channels available.

Cons

I would love to have an app for the owner/office staff which would also send push notifications for alerts/tickets/texts.

With Jobber it seemed that there were no opportunities for suggestions or improvements. The online booking tool was also essentially useless for a cleaning business and that was a deal breaker for me.

### "Best available software for house cleaning businesses"

Maid Central has allowed us to automate so many things that used to take hours of admin time per week for our 35-employee cleaning service. So much that we have been able to eliminate 1 full-time and one part-time administrative role. Most of the time savings for us has been in customer and employee scheduling and payroll processing. We have also seen customer feedback increase 10x and it’s much more useful now than before (we used to use a Google form and a spreadsheet to collect feedback), because Maid Central automatically assigns the feedback from a service visit to the appropriate technician(s) and customer files. Customers love the customer portal, where they can see upcoming service visits and request changes. And since customers can update their own payment information we have seen our accounts receivable balance decrease considerably. Field technicians love the Technician portal, and the data that is collected from our field technicians using the program has allowed us to effectively increase our bill rate without losing any customers. As I said in the “cons” section here, with so many features to set up, this software can be intimidating at first, particularly for those with smaller businesses. But if you are looking to SCALE your house cleaning business, and care about having high-quality data to drive your decision-making, Maid Central is worth a serious look. I’ve used two other systems and trialed three others, and none come close to doing what Maid Central can.

Pros

The overall structure of the product and the underlying operational logic is superior, and comes from the developers’ decades of experience operating one of the most successful house cleaning services in the country. Intuitive user interface and powerful automation functionality.

Cons

Because this is such a fully featured business automation software developed with scale and growth in mind, on-boarding can be intimidating for first-time users, but the Maid Central team is working on ways to simplify some feature sets for new users.

Superior overall structure, logic, functionality, usable automation and usable features. A common issue with software is they sell on features, but when features are difficult to use they lack the value promised. With Maid Central, features are seamlessly integrated into the user experience.

### "Why to invest in Maid Central?"

Now that I feel more comfortable I am looking forward to the event in October to get with other users and ask more questions to under more of the layers.

Pros

Game changer, has given me freedom from the day to day operations of running a maid service. An amazing tool to understand if you are running a profitable business. After jumping in with both feet and making the commitment to using more of the features it was exciting to see how it works.

Cons

It was a lot of time to set up, I wish they could "dummy it down", they have great customer service, always get an answer fast. Looking forward to more features to be added, but from the many other software programs I have tried and I have tried them all, I am all in on this one.
