Pros I appreciate the ability to price compare and look up products within the site. I think the search engine does a decent job at finding what I am looking for. Cons Having to change the vendor in order to mark an item as ordered if it wasn't ordered through Quartzy is a pain. I would like that to be a lot easier. I also don't like that when I click on a item to send me to the link it sometimes changes the link that the employee sent me and it sends me somewhere else. Pros Easy to search, catalog, update existing items, and stay organized as a lab. Overall very useful. Cons The most prominent search bar is always shop instead of being whatever tab your under (like supply, order, etc). Adding orders from outside the quartzy shopping eco system is clunky. Items ordered through quartzy often have broken links for reorders. Pros I can find just about all of the things I need to order for my team. The request approval process is seemless as well so our finance department can easily keep track of our spending. Cons I think adding multiple different items to one PO can be challenging at times. Once one item has been requested, it seems like to add another item, you need to know the specific catalog number because the search by keyword isn't always inclusive of all search results. They are very responsive and communicate at a great level about orders and any issues that arise. It's awesome to have most of our purchases in a centralized location and be able to compare prices. We are routinely finding equivalent products for 30+% less than the big wholesalers like fisher and VWR Cons Not all vendors are part of the network. I highly recommend Quartzy. Pros It is much nicer to order all my products from one source. The discounts on supplies received through Quartzy are otherwise unmatched. Cons I do not like how long things take to ship and that the shipping information is often incorrect.
