I have used this service for about 5 years now, and it makes running a golf outing a breeze. Cons I can't really find a con. I have tried running golf outings without GolfStatus, and there is no way I would go back to the old way. Every team member I've ever worked with has been accommodating, friendly, and proactive. I can't say enough good things about our experience. We can't wait to team together again next year. Pros The staff is incredibly helpful, not only in creating your tournament site but also in educating our team on how to best use the software. We've used GolfStatus two years in a row at our charity golf fundraiser, and we couldn't be happier. Totaling scores and breaking flights at the end of the day is nothing more than clicking a button. Not to mention, the tools within the software for scorecards, golf cart signs, alpha lists, etc. make life easier for our organization and the golf course staff as well. GolfStatus is a true blessing to our organization! Cons My only recommendation would be to overhaul the registration pages that our team captains and sponsors see when purchasing their packages. Jon was assigned to me and was always available. He was always re-assuring me that we are in good shape and kept it upbeat and positive even when I was losing my mind. Response time before and after the tournament was great. Use of the emergency number helped. Pros I love having control over the teams and making changes right away. There are so much more that I see we can do but I didn't dive into it but will surely be more into the system next year. Loved being able to print the lists as soon as making changes. I'll probably utilize the sign options more. Cons I can't really say what I didn't like about it. We had a little hiccup, but it was more user error not being familiar with the system. I was thankful my new employer was already established with GolfStatus and had used them for the last two tournaments, so GolfStatus was also familiar with our organization. It made this "unfamiliar" world of golf for me easier to navigate! Pros This was my first time organizing a golf tournament. I am not a golfer and even though I have managed countless events, this one felt intimidating to me. Jon from GolfStatus reached out to introduce himself to me and offer a tutorial of the platform which was super helpful and was very timely in responses to any questions I had throughout the months leading up to our tournament. The site was very intuitive and user friendly. The day after the tournament he sent an email asking how it went and offered to schedule a post-event debrief call, which we did. I learned about a feature that we didn't use this year but look forward to incorporating it into next years tournament. The ability to run and manage your event smoothly and efficiently helps us focus on fundraising. GolfStatus is the best event management software we've used. Previously, we've looked at other golf tournament management software and did most of it by hand. It's helped us be able to improve our tournament much more quickly. We don't plan on leaving any time soon. Pros We've used GolfStatus for 4 years now. We're able to quickly register, adjust, and finalize our teams on the fly as matters arise. As a client you felt as though you were his only client in the way that he took care of your needs. The platform is amazing and user friendly. We received many comments about how professional our website looked. I love the idea of the additional fundraising options through the website and we definitely took advantage of them. I speak so highly of this company and have recommend it to many. Pros I love that GolfStatus provides a low cost or no cost solution for nonprofits. The customer service was AMAZING! I loved that I didn't have to build out the website myself, I was able to provide my rep with the data and he made it beautiful. I really like having access to the data at my fingertips. This is my second tournament and last year the course maintain the registration, this year I was able to see every registration and sponsorship instamatically as they came in which was a big plus. The software program made running the golf tournament and fundraiser efficiently. The customer support team/mechanism was top notch. Very responsive. Pros Easy to use and understand. Backend functions are thorough and easy to use as well. Customized forms make printing fast and easy. Having all of the tournament data available remotely is a big timesaver and very convenient. The customer support was phenomenal. Cons The inability to separate/identify each sponsorship package, and general donation. September 14, 2022 5.0 GolfStatus is a great addition to our tournament fundraising model. The software is easy for us to use and easy for golfers to use. It allows me, as coordinator of the event, to have ALL the information in one place - finances, golfers, handicaps, sponsors, logos, hole assignments, etc. Additionally...the level of customer service support is unmatched. I have a customer support associate assigned to me, and I can email him at any time. He always answers my questions quickly and thoroughly, even providing video of how a feature works when needed. I'm very pleased with this product and plan to use it as long as we are doing golf tournaments! Pros What I love most about GolfStatus is the customer support, along with the ability to easily register our golfers and showcase our sponsors. Cons There are just a few minor things I would like to see updated - displaying the Technology Sponsor a little differently and some options for doing a "custom" attendee report, but overall I love this software. The registration website and processing gateway made it very streamlined and simple for our players. It was much easier to manage! Cons While we loved using Golf Status and it was great, there were some features we wished were more comprehensive. The program and the staff were amazing! Pros GolfStatus is an excellent program to assist novice golfers and novice event planners to create successful golf tournaments. I am not a golfer at all and I found this software very easy to use, functional and a one-stop management program for our 1st golf tournament. Cons There were a few features that were a bit tricky to navigate at first. (Registering golfers on their behalf, connecting sponsors with designated sponsorship level). I contacted our rep and he assisted us by giving details and tutorials for the task and all in a very timely manner. All of the issues that we may have had were rectified very quickly and other features that were tricky to navigate have all been fixed in the new version to be released in a month or so. Reason for choosing GolfStatus Being a charity, the fact that the program was free for all government registered charities made it very attractive. After using the program, I can say without a doubt that it was such an amazing program. Sometimes, you pay for what you get - this was certainly not the case with this program.
