We have nothing but fantastic things to say about GolfStatus and all of the staff we have had the privilege of working with. Overall, they make sure you are taken care of and feel like a top priority to them. I cannot recommend them enough!

Pros

4 key points for us about this software: 1) The customer service is on point for GolfStatus. I think any question we have had has been answered within a 10 minute window and the staff has went above and beyond to make sure we understand things and are taken care of. 2) The appearance of the website: the interface is clean and direct. It's pretty simple to understand for users (and once you get the hang of it, the back end is pretty good as well!) 3) Setting things up: This is made easy for almost anyone to do. We love the features! 4) Payment: The site being tied to Stripe has made our lives so much easier! I cannot begin to talk about how many hours the website has saved us as a team in organizing the event.

Cons

There really are no big cons we can think of. If I was nitpicking it all, I would say there are some reports that could be easier to pull / run for the event -but that's really nitpicking at it.

It was great--the team at golf status is incredibly responsive and helpful! Again, I think if you’re looking for a quick, easy, and inexpensive golf tournament management software you’re in the right place.

Pros

I think its an easy registration software when you have a specific event like a golf tournament with 4 players on a team and holes etc.

Cons

Unfortunately, it was marketed to us as something that could be customized depending on our needs, and that was not entirely true due to the technological constraints on the software to be JUST for golf tournaments.

Perfection! Every team member I've ever worked with has been accommodating, friendly, and proactive. I can't say enough good things about our experience. We can't wait to team together again next year.

Pros

The staff is incredibly helpful, not only in creating your tournament site but also in educating our team on how to best use the software. We've used GolfStatus two years in a row at our charity golf fundraiser, and we couldn't be happier. Totaling scores and breaking flights at the end of the day is nothing more than clicking a button. Not to mention, the tools within the software for scorecards, golf cart signs, alpha lists, etc. make life easier for our organization and the golf course staff as well. GolfStatus is a true blessing to our organization!

Cons

My only recommendation would be to overhaul the registration pages that our team captains and sponsors see when purchasing their packages. It works. There's no complaint there, but it isn't graphically pleasing to the eye. For such amazing software, it lacks a modern look.

There are so many things I really love and appreciate about GolfStatus! - Anytime I had a question or needed anything \[sensitive content hidden\] was quick to answer and help me out. - The website is easy to navigate for both hosts and players/sponsors - I have gotten great value out of the webinars hosted by GolfStatus that I have attended. The format they use is unparalleled! - The added bonuses and connection to Dormie Stay and Play packages added great value to our event.

Cons

I can't think of anything. I look forward to using the program again because there were a lot of resources on the website that I did not get to use this year due to time.

Great customer service. Jon was assigned to me and was always available. He was always re-assuring me that we are in good shape and kept it upbeat and positive even when I was losing my mind. Response time before and after the tournament was great. Use of the emergency number helped.

Pros

I love having control over the teams and making changes right away. There are so much more that I see we can do but I didn't dive into it but will surely be more into the system next year. Loved being able to print the lists as soon as making changes. I'll probably utilize the sign options more.

Cons

I can't really say what I didn't like about it. We had a little hiccup, but it was more user error not being familiar with the system. Came up with a game plan for next year so we won't have that hiccup.

It was very good! I was thankful my new employer was already established with GolfStatus and had used them for the last two tournaments, so GolfStatus was also familiar with our organization. It made this "unfamiliar" world of golf for me easier to navigate!

Pros

This was my first time organizing a golf tournament. I am not a golfer and even though I have managed countless events, this one felt intimidating to me. Jon from GolfStatus reached out to introduce himself to me and offer a tutorial of the platform which was super helpful and was very timely in responses to any questions I had throughout the months leading up to our tournament. The site was very intuitive and user friendly. The day after the tournament he sent an email asking how it went and offered to schedule a post-event debrief call, which we did. I learned about a feature that we didn't use this year but look forward to incorporating it into next years tournament.

Cons

I don't have anything to compare this platform to, so I don't have anything that I didn't like about it! :)

Overall experience was top-notch! The customer support as an admin was very hands-on as we prepped for our first event using GS. I loved that printouts were available already on how to use the app for scorekeeping. It made it easy for us to "sell" our participants on using the app over a paper scorecard.

Pros

I like that it's a one-stop shop with respect to scorekeeping and registration. Some sponsored items were easily ordered with GS's help, but I would appreciate even more involvement in this aspect of event planning. One of the major headaches I experience is ordering sponsored items off of 3rd party sites, proofing artwork, ensuring timely production and delivery, fronting the money, and requesting reimbursement from the sponsor. Lots of coordination! I appreciated the experience we had with GS and our pin flag sponsor, for example. Once the sponsorship slot was filled, all that was needed was the logo and payment to cover the expense. GS took care of the rest (thank you!).

Cons

As a person crunching the numbers and keeping tabs on all of our donors/contributions, it would be helpful if there was a download that has a comprehensive list of all participants (regardless of their classification) to see how are proceeds were derived from. Even having 1 tab on a download contain contact names, email addresses, package(s) purchased, and purchase amounts would have saved me some time grabbing information from different sources.

BPT is more of a means to collect sales on an event. As far as I know, it doesn't have the capabilities of interacting with participants other than accepting credit card payments. GS has 2 functions in my eyes -- a merchant processing platform and a scoring platform.

Our reps have always been extremely helpful and responsive, no matter if our tournament is the next day, or a year out. It's always very comforting knowing we have them there to help.

Pros

I like the ease of use with golf status and that they make it a seamless transition each year for us by building out the page for us, we just make small adjustments based on what we've changed on our end. I like that our customers seem to have a fairly easy time getting their information loaded in.

Cons

For some reason this year, the website feature was not working for our sponsors. Whenever they would try to add their website, it would say that it was not a URL so I would then get a phone call and I'd have to tell them to just not add a website and I would then add it later. I also don't like that I can't prioritize packages by reordering them on my own. They're instead automatically ordered by price so then sometimes it's confusing because certain things should naturally go together/next to each other.

Overall, I think GolfStatus is reasonably easy to use, at a reasonable price. The customer service is first rate. I wish I could get more entrants to use GolfStatus, but I still have businesses that prefer to mail checks and golfers that prefer using checks or PayPal.

Pros

1\. The staff are quick to respond. This is very important to us. There were some errors with the registration info, and they fixed the errors within minutes. 2. Golfers and sponsors who like to register online find the site easy to use. 3. Once you get the hang of it, the design and implementation are easy to use. And it gets better each year. I like that you can do a lot of the work yourself.

Cons

1\. The Stripe electronic payment system has been a hassle every year, so we have GolfStatus mail us a check.

### "Golf Outing Management"

Our golf outing is an annual fundraiser for the boys' and girls' basketball programs at our high school. We typically have a full field for our golf outing, but it's not a fundraiser that's designed to raise tens of thousands of dollars. However, you never would have known that in dealing with GolfStatus. They treated us as if we were running the most prestigious golf outing in the world. We are very happy that we chose to use GolfStatus for our golf outing. Not only did it make publicizing and running our golf outing much easier, but GolfStatus's customer service and support were outstanding. They took the time to do an online demo while we were considering using the product. Once we decided to go with them, they created the website for us and then scheduled an online training session to teach us how to use and edit it. The week before the outing, they scheduled an online meeting with us in order to finalize any last-minute details and prepare us for what to do on the day of the outing. During the outing, their customer service was always available to answer any questions that we had. That was very impressive, especially considering that our outing was on a weekend. We couldn't be happier with our choice to use GolfStatus. We will use them again next year, and we would highly recommend them to anyone else who organizes and runs a golf outing.

Pros

The software made running our golf outing so much easier. We used GolfStatus in order to publicize our golf outing as well as to register golfers and donors online. Those were huge benefits for us as in the past we had to collect paper registration forms from each golfer and sponsor, and all payments had to be in the form of cash or check. It also greatly sped up the registration table on the day of our golf outing since all of our golfers had already registered and paid online beforehand. For the last several years, we've had a full field for our golf outing, and the waiting list was a nice feature because golfers could see who was already registered and know when the field was getting close to being full. This allowed us to have our field finalized much earlier than normal. The on-course scoring and skins tracking were game-changers for us as well. It saved us a tremendous amount of time at the end of the outing since we didn't have to sit down and figure out the golf outing winners and skins winners. The skins tracker was a fun feature for the golfers because they could see what skins were still available in real-time during the outing.

Cons

There really isn't much not to like. We are a nonprofit organization, so there was no cost for us to use the software, which was a huge benefit. If we could change anything, it would be to have an easier to way correct a team's scorecard while the golf outing was taking place. We had a team who mistakenly submitted their scorecard after the first hole, and it wasn't very easy to simply allow them back into the outing. To GolfStatus's credit, however, their customer service was online and helped walk us through how to get them back in the outing. It would also be nice if they had a built-in app for sponsors to resize their logos so that they fit the size requirements of the GolfStatus app. It wasn't difficult for us to do it using the software that GolfStatus recommended, but it did take some time as we had to do it for most of the sponsors since most didn't have the technology to resize their logos. Those were relatively minor hassles, however. The benefits of the GolfStatus app far outweigh any negatives.

The biggest problem GolfStatus solved was automating the registration and payment process. It helped make that a lot less manual and alleviate the stress of chasing payments. It also made the event a lot more professional in my opinion.

Pros

The best features of the website were being able to register and pay online easily and be able to track teams, sponsorships, etc. I really liked the reports that were easy to generate such as scorecards, cart signs, player lists and more that saved me time on the back end. It was a nice feature to have the ability to pass on processing fees to participants so it does not take away from money for the fundraiser. I also cannot say enough about the customer service. Every time I had a question my account manager (Paul) promptly got back to me and was very helpful. In our post-event follow up, I shared by feedback and ideas to enhance the website further and it seemed like a lot of my ideas were already in the works so GolfStatus is constantly looking to improve and add new features such as invoicing, easier logo uploading, etc. that will make this an even better product in the future.

Cons

I wish there was a section I could add notes such as "paid by check, comping tee-sign, etc." I think some of the challenges for me was that there were still a good amount of people that wanted to pay check so I had to manage two systems (GolfStatus and a Google spreadsheet) which was time consuming. With the ability to send invoices in the future, hopefully that will be solved. I would like to see a tab where you are able to manage tee-signs in the future (i.e. company name, logo received, sign created, etc.)

GolfStatus is a great addition to our tournament fundraising model. The software is easy for us to use and easy for golfers to use. It allows me, as coordinator of the event, to have ALL the information in one place - finances, golfers, handicaps, sponsors, logos, hole assignments, etc. Additionally...the level of customer service support is unmatched. I have a customer support associate assigned to me, and I can email him at any time. He always answers my questions quickly and thoroughly, even providing video of how a feature works when needed. I'm very pleased with this product and plan to use it as long as we are doing golf tournaments!

Pros

What I love most about GolfStatus is the customer support, along with the ability to easily register our golfers and showcase our sponsors.

Cons

There are just a few minor things I would like to see updated - displaying the Technology Sponsor a little differently and some options for doing a "custom" attendee report, but overall I love this software.

Our overall experience with GolfStatus is an extremely positive one from pre-event, day of, and post event. The best part was the level of communication with our rep, \[sensitive content hidden\].

Pros

In 2023, our non-profit was putting on our first golf classic fundraiser. After months of trying to create the event (i.e. details, registration, etc.) on our website, it was clear that it would not be possible to do it by our registration launch date. Our \[sensitive content hidden\] found GolfStatus online, connected with a representative immediately and that rep was able to setup our golf event website in less than 5 days. The representative connected us with \[sensitive content hidden\], our account rep, who was instrumental in training us on the GolfStatus platform, available for Q&A with multiple departments in our organization, helped us troubleshoot, and took our feedback to GolfStatus who subsequently made the suggested changes to the platform. We couldn’t have done it without him. We were able to meet our registration launch date and went on to have a very successful golf event.

Cons

For the event page on the website, we were restricted from personalizing it to the level to which we are accustomed. Assembling golf teams could have been more user friendly. We were going to use the electronic disbursement option, but opted out when the process required access to all of our financials.

Pros

The software was intuitive and easy to use. And if there were any questions, our customer success specialist was there to assist.

Cons

I have given some of my recommendations already but there should be an app for doing things on the administrator's side. Currently you can only use the website to handle things, so having an app especially for day of event will be beneficial.

The software was a net benefit to our organization, they very quickly setup our tournament when our alternative option was not coming together. The software worked well and provides a number of good revenue increasing options for organizations to build into their golf tournaments.

Pros

GolfStatus shined best by its customer service from \[sensitive content hidden\]. The software is relatively intuitive on the admin side and easy to use on the end-user side; but when a question did come up their customer service was absolutely the best I have received from any kind of vendor since pre-pandemic. Registration for end users was smooth and simple, and the necessary tools were available.

Cons

They really need to add 1 additional report that gives all data on 1 tab. The current reports are good, but sometimes it is divided between tabs.

10/10 would recommend. In fact, I've already been recommending the team at GolfStatus when my peers bring up their own golf tournaments.

Pros

Literally everything. This software so efficient and versatile and we are incredibly glad we had the support of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], our customer success specialist. He was responsive, effective, clear, and very insightful about functions of the software as well as tips and tricks for our tournament. Things wouldn't have been nearly as seamless without Golf Status. We're really glad we made this choice for our non-profit tournament.

Cons

There were some common sense functions that aren't available, like how to manage single player assignments, but while they weren't available for us this time, they are on the roadmap for the product team. These issues were also super easily resolved by reaching out to the chat team at GolfStatus when something came up, so I wouldn't really consider it a "con" in the end.

The only thing we can think of is that we had a couple of golfers who wanted to pay by check at our event and we were not able to add a single player to the platform. We could add a 4some team but not a single player. This was not an issue at all though.
