It was just easy to implement, it is easy to use and the customer support is world class. We have used them for 2 years now, and we will use them going forward. Thank you.

Pros

The pros are that the site is fairly easy to navigate, get the tournament open and published to social media, it looks great from a user experience and the best part is the amazing customer service. If I had any question what-so-ever, it was answered promptly and often \[sensitive content hidden\] would support us by executing the item we had a question about. After the event, they paid our charity promptly. They took an administrative burden off of our plates so we could focus on other tournament tasks.

Cons

I would like more customization in the Volunteer Registration Section.I would like to see the "sponsorship item" under the logo on the sponsorship page once the item was purchased.

We needed an efficient and effective way to register players for our annual golf fundraiser with a low cost to us. Golf Status was the perfect solution

Pros

The best thing for me about Golf Status is the partnership and responsiveness of \[sensitive content hidden\], our representative. Over these last three tournaments, his partnership has been invaluable

Cons

We are a small all volunteer non profit so continuing to maintain low fees is critical to us. Sizing logos has been a challenge for some of our sponsors but \[sensitive content hidden\] comes to the rescue within minutes of a request from me. And I understand that feature will be improved with the new version.

The software was a net benefit to our organization, they very quickly setup our tournament when our alternative option was not coming together. The software worked well and provides a number of good revenue increasing options for organizations to build into their golf tournaments.

Pros

GolfStatus shined best by its customer service from \[sensitive content hidden\]. The software is relatively intuitive on the admin side and easy to use on the end-user side; but when a question did come up their customer service was absolutely the best I have received from any kind of vendor since pre-pandemic. Registration for end users was smooth and simple, and the necessary tools were available.

Cons

They really need to add 1 additional report that gives all data on 1 tab. The current reports are good, but sometimes it is divided between tabs.

The overall experience has been great. I will no longer be part of the Golf Outing Committee next year, but I believe our organization will continue with it.

Pros

Customer Service— \[sensitive content hidden\] was great to work with and provided the necessary information and reporting to get the most out of our event. He worked with us from start to finish, and his communication was excellent.

Cons

The reporting and classification of sponsorships. \[sensitive content hidden\] helped us with workarounds, but I feel this area could be improved.

Reason for choosing GolfStatus

We reviewed several options (it was 3 years ago, so I can't remember who). GolfStatus made it easy and was superior to other options at the time.

Game changer. Golf Status allowed my golf tournament to fundraise quicker AND easier than before. Gone are the days of sending out forms and printing. Having a digital footprint for an event is a true saver as a fundraiser.

Pros

Having an "always on" brochure or website allowed my event to constantly be open to new and existing patrons. Having the ability to wake up, and have someone look at your event and also register, because they were able to immediately understand and know what was happening, without having to call or email anyone.

Cons

Overall it was super easy to understand and maneuver. If I had to say one thing i would just like as a manager of the software push through payment when I wanted. Instead of having to get a hold of someone at the company.

My overall experience was perfect!!

Pros

All of the features are easy to use for both me, the administrator, and the consumer. The reporting is great and was very easy to download and to send to the golf course. \[sensitive content hidden\] and the entire staff are stellar. I could not ask for better customer service. They respond to you within minutes. Everyone that registered to sponsor or golf was impressed by the ease of use. The tracking of money was great. Very easy to go in and look at from computer or mobile on the fly.

Cons

I do not have anything negative to say.

The ability to manage, record, and process our registration was crucial to making our event a success

Cons

Could use a tag on the teams to denote who paid for the team. Having to go into the team and click the payments tab is a bit cumbersome.

10/10 would recommend. In fact, I've already been recommending the team at GolfStatus when my peers bring up their own golf tournaments.

Pros

Literally everything. This software so efficient and versatile and we are incredibly glad we had the support of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], our customer success specialist. He was responsive, effective, clear, and very insightful about functions of the software as well as tips and tricks for our tournament. Things wouldn't have been nearly as seamless without Golf Status. We're really glad we made this choice for our non-profit tournament.

Cons

There were some common sense functions that aren't available, like how to manage single player assignments, but while they weren't available for us this time, they are on the roadmap for the product team. These issues were also super easily resolved by reaching out to the chat team at GolfStatus when something came up, so I wouldn't really consider it a "con" in the end.

He was ALWAYS available to answer our many questions and the man is extremely professional and patient. Big reason we came back to GolfStatus. Also, the product works very well and have no reason to look outside of their services. Well done!

Pros

The site is so easy to use for the end user and the admin user. I have everything I need via the web or the app. I received so many compliments on the ease of use for our supporters. I couldn't be happier.

Cons

I would encourage you to look at the live scoring option a little easier to use. For instance, the "back and forward" arrows don't seem to work when you press with your finger on the phone. It was a bit clunky, but ultimately did work. The check-in and play option was a bit confusing to a new user. Maybe color code them a bit better for people just wanting to play asap.

Pros

Going ti online registration and payment has helped us go from 80 players total to 120. Just the ease of signing up online alone has gained us $3,000. We have a skins game two days of our 3 day tournament and it makes it so easy to automatically know what holes and who has skins.

Cons

I wish we could customize our scorecard printouts to have players home town or home course below their name.

Reason for choosing GolfStatus

Way way way cheaper and had just as many features as we were looking for to run our tournament.

Overall, experience was great. They worked with us and were eager to help our event be a success and wanted to be part of that.

Pros

The Leaderboard was the coolest feature. 80% of our teams were able to adapt seamlessly. We were easily able to input scores that were tracked manually. The site flighted the scores based on our input and automatically did the scorecard playoffs that determine leaderboard rankings. The site for registration was solid. We had a few issues with folks using Internet Explorer or other outdated browsers; also dealing with corporate firewalls. Otherwise, the site functionality was excellent and very customizable to our needs. We planned 2 very different types of events with the software thanks to an initial postponement and then, rescheduled event due to COVID. Allowed us to customize sponsorship and raffle packages to sell and we worked with the site's partners on special offerings taking advantage of a Golf Ball Sponsorship with Dixon and a Technology Sponsorship that featured the sponsor on the event day App and netted a Stay and Play golf trip back to our charity that we featured as a Premium raffle for $20/ticket. Could also feature sponsors and their logos, which is important to us. Support was outstanding. There customer service took care of me primarily by email. It was prompt and attentive and answered my questions or simply implemented what we were trying to do with the software. The back end of the software was pretty intuitive and others I had come help me, also were able to easily control and make updates.

Cons

When a registration or sponsorship came in on the site, we programmed the software to send us an email. It did, but it only told us what was sold and could have provided all the registration info that was input into the site. The back end reporting also could be a little better. The Team Registration report was good but there wasn't a good revenue report, which is needed to document financials. Also, this was our first interaction using Stripe as a payment methodology; we're accustomed to PayPal. This part is still under evaluation whether or not we care about using Stripe.

We used the GolfStatus platform to help us manage our first annual golf fundraising event for our nonprofit organization. The ease for our sponsors, donors, and golfers to use this platform was remarkable. The staff support we received from beginning to end was exceptional! The communication from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was over and beyond helpful in planning our event. We plan to use this platform again for our next fundraising event!

Pros

We were able to manage our first annual golf fundraising event for our nonprofit organization using the GolfStatus platform. The ease for our sponsors, donors, and golfers to use this platform was remarkable.

Cons

The only thing we can think of is that we had a couple of golfers who wanted to pay by check at our event and we were not able to add a single player to the platform. We could add a 4some team but not a single player. This was not an issue at all though.

Pros

What wasn't there to like! This was a smooth and easy transition to new a software platform. MUCH better than using spreadsheets to try to manage everything. Everything worked extremely well and did just what I needed it to do!

Cons

If there were any negative aspects to the golf status platform, I did not find them.

Reason for choosing GolfStatus

This was the solution that I was looking for and I didn't even know it. I was looking for a better spreadsheet to track stuff like golfers, income, expenses, etc... I came across this solution and it was perfect.

Pros

We loved how easy it was to manage our event using the GolfStatus platform. I feel like the platform is very easy to manage and pretty straightforward. But due to the nature of our event (2 playing formats within the same outing) we needed a certain level of flexibility and GolfStatus provided that. Our Client Success Specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\] , was great, helping us navigate the system and making sure that we were on the path to hosting a successful event. The support that \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team provided is why we will use this platform as long as I'm helping to lead First Tee - Benton Harbor.

Cons

We love everything about the system. We haven't been able to utilize the live scoring system for our event, but that's an issue for us to resolve, not GolfStatus.

The GolfStatus tool was great. And we were able to showcase our sponsors with logos and links to their website. The team at GolfStatus was always very receptive to my questions. It was a great experience and I look forward to the future.

Pros

The Golf Status product was simple to use, very intuitive. This was my first time organizing a golf tournament so I saw both sides of the system (user & administrator).

Cons

Since this was our first tournament ever, not every golfer or sponsor used the system. I understand this should get better next year and we will push people to use the system. While I was able to register golfers and sponsors on the backside of the system (very easy to do), I was not able to get consolidated reporting from the tool but could easily export the data in Excel.

Having used the program for the past 3 years has allowed me to streamline the time needed for setup and running the tournament. I like how the registrants are added to the website, so everyone can see who's playing. I'm extremely pleased with the program and will continue using it in the future.

Pros

The client service is exceptional. Whenever I had a question, I could start a chat. The response time and answers were delivered quickly. As we considered other promotions, they also provided valuable feedback. These guys were great.

Cons

It would be helpful to have the ability to give more promotion to those sponsors who donate more to the cause. Limiting it to just one could be improved.

It is geared for Golf games, when there is additional games of various types (tennis, footgolf, pickleball) it only manages ticket purchasing.

Made our tournament exponentially more credible. The ease of being able to list and have everything on one platform not only was beneficial for the players, but to the team who organized event. They also offer many perks backed by insurance that gets players very excited about event day of.

Pros

Always there to answer any questions I had - even randomly out of the blue - and that type of service just doesn't exist anymore. Very pleasant to work with and am excited to continue to use them for any and all events I have in the future.

Pros

I LOVED everything about GolfStatus from the easy to navigate menu bar, to the live scoring app, having everything all in one place, easy and simple registration for my sponsors, the amazing cart signs and scorecards and most importantly my support team \[sensitive content hidden\] who were exceptional and always there to help when my brain would get overwhelmed and they jumped in to help me right away. Their support made my experience with GolfStatus my most favorite part of it all.

Cons

The only feature I would have liked to see when it came to the scorecards is if I could add verbiage to them to include where we had our contest hole's at.

Pros

I've used GolfStatus for four years. Tremendous customer service whenever needed. (and I've needed it!) Very easy to use in every step of the process. Our tournament is huge, with so many moving parts. GolfStatus has the features to handle all areas. I'm retiring this year, and will insist that my successor continue to use GolfStatus.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at this time. Big fan!
