GolfStatus was huge in the success of our outing. The staff and support of the site were top notch.

Pros

The customer service from building the site to tournament day was top notch. First year we’ve hosted this outing, we would not have been nearly as successful without the assistance of GolfStatus.

Cons

Limited on the image size/shape that could be uploaded for sponsors. An administrative way to add teams without applying payment.

GolfStatus works with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and we choose to support those that support our great organization.

### "I Used Golf Status for My Hotel's Charity Golf Tournament"

For the most part, it was an easy experience - especially for someone like me who does not play golf nor do I understand the rules. Customer service was outstanding and \[sensitive content hidden\] should be specifically recognized for his attentiveness and availability for all my Golf Status needs. After the tournament was over, I needed to break down the funds we had raised, and their chat service on the site is also outstanding. I got all the information I needed.

Pros

I really liked that the admin interface is pretty user friendly. The other thing that is outstanding is the service and tech support that Golf Status provides.

Cons

I think there may be some more features that should be included as a regular administrator of a tournament page. For example, on the day of the tournament, because Golf Status had closed registration, players were unable to buy mulligans through the site until I contacted someone to open registration again. We had advertised to all the players that they could purchase a mulligan online at any time through the app before players got to their respective holes, but by the time registration was open again, the most effective time to purchase mulligans was over. I felt like maybe this was something I should have been able to do myself.

### "First time user"

The registration of our guests so as to eliminate onsite registration was one. Many older golfers wouldn't download the app. Needs an easier registration number. Also, create a template that is easier to read. Designers forget that small type and type in light grays are hard to read and make it more difficult to set things up. Looks good but not practical.

Pros

As a first time golf chairman it helped me organize the golf portion of my event. It enabled me to sell a sponsorship that was never consider (Technology sponsor). If the program did nothing else it helped create this sponsor and got us one sponsor that helped pay for the event with their donation. All other donations went directly to the charity.

Cons

A non profit has certain needs. One is mining the information from the program. They found it difficult to move information from GS to their other programs. PDF's although look great an excel sheet would have been more useful. Information that was downloaded into excel was not in one place. The other thing is that without the online help I would have been lost. As it was I didn't realize I had to terminate the event for the computer to calculate the winners. Non golfers might have a problem understanding the terminology used. Lastly, find a less expensive way than STRIPE especially when you are dealing with a charity.

Nice relationships with your people. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] did a great job. Your online help was also a big help especially when I was working at 11 pm EST.

The ease of being able to assign sponsors, upload sponsor information, follow teams that have registered online along with being able to add my own teams that will pay later is great.

Pros

I like the fact that I can look up teams/players that have registered and paid themselves or add teams as I need who will pay later.

Cons

I do not have access to see who has donated only

Pros

I use golf status once a year to help organize our golf outing which raises money for a few different local nonprofits. The management software is very easy to use and the customer service when I had questions was more than helpful and quick. It is easy for our golfers to use as well and a few simple clicks and they are registered!

Cons

A few of the features on the management side didn't work as well as last year. Seems to be just a glitch. Like any software the fees are always no fun but it makes for such a smooth registration process the day of when everyone has already paid online. It's worth it.

We are a non-profit club that has turnover of our board members every few years, so using a software to manage our golf outing fundraiser makes sense. Golf Status is a local company for us, so it felt good to support local and they didn’t disappoint. They were available for live chat, virtual meetings, and phone calls when needed. They checked in with us at the right times and always offered support. The fees for hosting our event and managing the finances were reasonable, and I’m expecting my payout in a few days. I was very impressed with their Team and their Product, it’s perfect for our type of club.

Pros

The Golf Status software had a really nice learning curve and is very intuitive and easy to use after a few sessions. Rearranging teams and sponsors is really simple, updating team info and scores was easy. Overall the software and their support was wonderful and we’ll definitely use it for future events.

Cons

I feel like if there were any Cons with the software I’ve forgotten about them because the Pros with the software were numerous.

Reason for choosing GolfStatus

Because they are a local company and they manage golf tournaments we went with them first. We also had positive word of mouth and that made the decision easier.

I only had an amazing experience with GolfStatus. My tournament would have been much more stressful if I did not use GolfStatus. The system was easy to use and it was easy to change to fit my needs. I worked directly with both \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and they were amazing. They set me up incredibly well and walked me through everything that I needed to know for the tournament. They were also available to meet any time I had questions. This experience was amazing and I would recommend GolfStatus to anyone that is planning a golf tournament in the future.

Pros

There were so many aspects of GolfStatus that I loved. One of those aspects was the customer service chat. I used it a couple of times leading up to the tournament and I had answers within minutes of me asking the questions. I also loved the ability to see all the sponsors for my tournament in one place. It make it so easy to reach out to sponsors and let them be able to choose the level they wanted to sponsor.

Cons

I honestly did not run into any issues using this website.

Fantastic. Even the golf pro at the course we used for our fundraiser thought the app was helpful in getting things done.

Pros

The product's most helpful features for us was the setup of our event website so we could advertise the tournament, the registration, the app's email receipts and reminders, and the exports we could generate from registration.

Cons

User experience even for someone who is not knowledgeable on golf was very easy. I can't say I had any negative issues.

I don't know the firt thing about golf tournaments and GolfStatus makes it possible to run a successful event. The website is super user friendly and literally does it all for you. We've used GolfStatus for our event for the last two years and it's been wonderful!

Pros

First, the customer service is outstanding. Any question or problem I have, they help quickly and efficiently. I love that it's a one stop shop - register for a team, purchase add ons, sign up as a sponsor. I love the ability to look at payout reports. The options of how to view and download the data is great.

Cons

Sponsors are asked up upload their images but they aren't high enough quality to use for signage. This means we have to ask for another logo from our sponsors. There is also no good way to download the images from GolfStatus. Last year we had the complaint that the website didn't work properly with browsers other than Chrome. As a Chrome user, I didn't notice and I don't believe we had complaints this year, but I wanted to note it in case it still needs addressed.

I have loved using and it working with our coordinator \[sensitive content hidden\]. He is very responsive and handled the logos better than anyone on the committee and our own organizations website. Loved working with him. This tournament is becoming turnkey and that is due to \[sensitive content hidden\] level of response.

Pros

I run a large charity golf outing and this has made it so easy for the volunteers to use. The reporting methods and ease of use for the golfers. we started this with covid and have expanded our use of it every year and it has made it so easy for the committee. This tournament raises $35K for Humane Society and we couldnt do it without Golf Status handling the registrations for us.

Cons

Nothing. Very easy to use. Had no problems at all.

Pros

Very helpful in managing registration for our golf tournament. Golfers are sent a link to our customized website and it’s very easy to get foursomes and donations processed through the website.

Cons

Sometimes the sponsorships are pushed a little too hard for a tournament our size.

It is difficult to find any faults with GolfStatus. The options on the website are vast, and the customer service is first-class!

Cons

Occasionally I would have a hard time locating a tool or web function. When I experienced this, I would reach out to GolfStatus through the chat function or email and my issue would be resolved within minutes.

I have to say that customer support is the best thing about GS. They really care about our events and whether or not we are successful.

Cons

It is a small thing, but sometimes my 67-year-old eyes struggle with being able to see something on the screen. The colors make it difficult to read some screens.

GolfStatus has made executing our charity golf tournament so much easier! Pros: Quick customer service and assistance when needed. Also like the "donate" button on the website; we used this as a QR code for our Raise the Paddle during our dinner and we raised over $6,000 using it!

Cons

Resizing company logos; however, it has improved a lot from last year, which I appreciate!

Overall ease of use. The registration and payment process were flawless. and the Team and Sponsor assignments made it super easy to set up on the day. Pros

We loved having one place to send our sponsors and golfers for all of their registration and purchasing needs. The ease of assigning sponsors to holes, golfers to tee-off locations, scorecards, cart signs, etc made outing day logistics much easier for us to manage. Our sponsors appreciated the mobile app signage as much or more than the course signage.

Cons

Would like the ability to make onsite purchases (drink tickets, mulligans, etc.) from the app to be easier. Would like golfers to have the ability to make changes to their team information after initial registration and before the day of the event.

Pros

It took us from managing our fund raising tournament from a very manual process using spreadsheets to a fully automated system on our website and also a nice mobile interface during the event for live scoing.

Cons

Can't think of any cons. We have truly benefitted from automating our process using GolfStatus. Registration is streamlined, and the day of tracking of team results and determining the winners of the various flights is very fast and easy.

Would like to see that there would be no option for customers to unclick the fees being passed along to them. Should always just be included so they have to pay themselves and is not absorbed by the event coordinator.

Since this was the first time I had used the software for an event, I was very pleased with the program and the support. In fact, the support I received from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was nothing less than stellar! He is a rock star and was super patient with the training and ongoing support. He was also very responsive to communications. I totally recommend GolfStatus to any organization that needs a slick, efficient tool to manage their golf event.

Pros

I found the GolfStatus product very easy and intuitive to use. We used it to manage and fund-raise for our non-profit charity golf tournament. The software made it easy for sponsors and players to register. It was also great for keeping track of financial performance. One great feature is that it created the cart signs and team lists easily for printing. So many other great features PLUS real-time course GPS - the players loved that!

Cons

Some areas of where to edit content had to be explained to me so those areas were not totally intuitive but with a brief training, I was off and running.
